Joshua 14
1 And these [are the countries] which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for inheritance to them.
କିଣାନ ଦେଶରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଏହିସବୁ ଅଧିକାର ପାଇଲେ, ଇଲୀୟାସର ଯାଜକ ଓ ନୂନର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୋଶୂୟ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ପିତୃବଂଶୀୟ ପ୍ରଧାନବର୍ଗ,
2 By lot [was] their inheritance, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses, for the nine tribes, and [for] the half tribe.
ଯେପରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇଥିଲେ, ତଦନୁସାରେ ସେମାନେ ତାହା ନଅ ବଂଶକୁ ଓ ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧ ବଂଶକୁ ଗୁଲିବାଣ୍ଟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ବିଭାଗ କରିଦେଲେ।
3 For Moses had given the inheritance of two tribes and an half tribe on the other side Jordan: but unto the Levites he gave none inheritance among them.
କାରଣ ମୋଶା ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ-ପୂର୍ବପାରିରେ ଦୁଇ ବଂଶ ଓ ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧ ବଂଶକୁ ଅଧିକାର ଦେଇଥିଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କୌଣସି ଅଧିକାର ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ।
4 For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell [in], with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance.
ଯୋଷେଫର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ମନଃଶି ଓ ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ ଦୁଇ ବଂଶ ଥିଲେ। ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କେତେକ ବସତି-ନଗର ଓ ପଶୁ ଓ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ନିମନ୍ତେ ତଳିଭୂମି ଛଡ଼ା ଦେଶ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆଉ କୌଣସି ଅଂଶ ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ।
5 As the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did, and they divided the land.
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ ଯେପରି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇଥିଲେ, ତଦନୁସାରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ କର୍ମ କରି ଦେଶ ବିଭାଗ କଲେ।
6 Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the LORD said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadesh-barnea.
ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଯିହୁଦା-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଗିଲ୍ଗଲ୍ରେ ଯିହୋଶୂୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ; ତହୁଁ କନିସୀୟ ଯିଫୁନ୍ନିର ପୁତ୍ର କାଲେବ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିଷୟରେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିଷୟରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ କାଦେଶ-ବର୍ଣ୍ଣେୟରେ ଯାହା କହିଥିଲେ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣ।
7 Forty years old [was] I when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh-barnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as [it was] in mine heart.
ମୋହର ଚାଳିଶ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସେବକ ମୋଶା ଦେଶ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ କାଦେଶ-ବର୍ଣ୍ଣେୟଠାରୁ ମୋତେ ପଠାଇଥିଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ମନରେ ଯାହା ଥିଲା, ତଦନୁସାରେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ବାଦ ଆଣି ଦେଲି।
8 Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God.
ତଥାପି ମୋହର ଯେଉଁ ଭ୍ରାତୃଗଣ ମୋର ସଙ୍ଗେ ଯାଇଥିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟ ତରଳାଇ ପକାଇଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗତ ହେଲି।
9 And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.
ଏହେତୁ ମୋଶା ସେହି ଦିନ ଶପଥ କରି କହିଲେ, ‘ଯେଉଁ ଭୂମିରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପାଦ ପଡ଼ିଅଛି, ତାହା ଅବଶ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଓ ଯୁଗାନୁକ୍ରମେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ଅଧିକାର ହେବ, ଯେହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗତ ହୋଇଅଛ।’
10 And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while [the children of] Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I [am] this day fourscore and five years old.
ଏବେ ଦେଖ, ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରିବା ବେଳେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ ସେହି ଯେଉଁ କଥା କହିଥିଲେ, ତଦବଧି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ବାକ୍ୟାନୁସାରେ ମୋତେ ପଞ୍ଚଚାଳିଶ ବର୍ଷ ହେଲା ଜୀବିତ ରଖିଅଛନ୍ତି; ଏଣୁ ଏବେ ଦେଖ, ମୁଁ ଆଜି ପଞ୍ଚାଅଶୀ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କ ହୋଇଅଛି।
11 As yet I [am as] strong this day as [I was] in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength [was] then, even so [is] my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.
ତଥାପି ମୋଶା ଯେଉଁ ଦିନ ମୋତେ ପଠାଇଥିଲେ, ସେଦିନ ମୁଁ ଯେପରି ବଳବାନ ଥିଲି, ସେପରି ଆଜି ଅଛି; ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଓ ବାହାରେ ଭିତରେ ଯିବା ଆସିବା ପାଇଁ ସେସମୟରେ ମୋହର ଯେପରି ବଳ ଥିଲା, ସେପରି ଏବେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୋହର ବଳ ଅଛି।
12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims [were] there, and [that] the cities [were] great [and] fenced: if so be the LORD [will be] with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.
ଏହେତୁ ସେଦିନ ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ପର୍ବତ ବିଷୟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଥିଲେ, ତାହା ମୋତେ ଦିଅ; କାରଣ ଅନାକୀୟମାନେ ସେଠାରେ ଥାʼନ୍ତି ଓ ନଗରମାନ ବୃହତ ଓ ପ୍ରାଚୀର-ବେଷ୍ଟିତ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେଦିନ ଶୁଣିଥିଲ; ହୋଇପାରେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋହର ସଙ୍ଗରେ ହେବେ, ପୁଣି ମୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟାନୁସାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ତଡ଼ି ଦେବି।”
13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance.
ଏଥିରେ ଯିହୋଶୂୟ ତାହାକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କଲେ; ପୁଣି ସେ ଯିଫୁନ୍ନିର ପୁତ୍ର କାଲେବଙ୍କୁ ଅଧିକାରାର୍ଥେ ହିବ୍ରୋଣ ଦେଲେ।
14 Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.
ଏହେତୁ ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ହିବ୍ରୋଣ କନିସୀୟ ଯିଫୁନ୍ନିର ପୁତ୍ର କାଲେବଙ୍କର ଅଧିକାର ହୋଇଅଛି, ଯେହେତୁ ସେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ।
15 And the name of Hebron before [was] Kirjath-arba; [which Arba was] a great man among the Anakims. And the land had rest from war.
ପୂର୍ବକାଳରେ ଏହି ହିବ୍ରୋଣର ନାମ କିରୀୟଥ୍-ଅର୍ବ (ଅର୍ବର ନଗର) ଥିଲା; ସେହି ଅର୍ବ ଅନାକୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସର୍ବପ୍ରଧାନ ଲୋକ ଥିଲା। ଏଉତ୍ତାରୁ ଦେଶ ଯୁଦ୍ଧରୁ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ପାଇଲା।
