John 6
1 After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is [the sea] of Tiberias.
這些事以後，耶穌往加里肋亞海，即提庇黎雅海的對岸去了。
2 And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.
大批群眾，因為看見他在患病者身上所行的神跡，都跟隨著他。
3 And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
耶穌上了山，和他的門徒一起坐在那裡。
4 And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.
那時，猶太人的慶節，即逾越節，已臨近了。
5 When Jesus then lifted up [his] eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
耶穌舉目看見大批群眾來到他前，就對斐理伯說：「我們從那裏買餅給這些人吃呢？」
6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.
他說這話，是為試探斐理伯；他自己原知道要做什麼。
7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
斐理伯回答說: 「就是二百塊「德納」的餅，也不夠每人分得一小塊。」
8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him,
有一個門徒，即西滿伯多祿的哥哥安德肋說：「
9 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?
這裏有一個兒童，他有五個大麥餅和兩條魚；但是為這麼多的人，這算得什麼？」
10 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
耶穌說: 「你們叫眾人坐下罷! 」在那地方有許多青草，於是人們便坐下，男人約有五千。
11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
耶穌就拿起餅，祝謝後，分給坐下的人；對於魚也照樣作了；讓眾人任意吃。
12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.
他們吃飽以後，耶穌向門徒說: 「把剩下的碎塊收集起來，免得糟蹋了。」
13 Therefore they gathered [them] together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.
他們就把人吃後所剩的五個大麥餅的碎塊，收集起來，裝滿了十二筐。
14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.
眾人見了耶穌所行的神跡，就說: 「這人確實是那要來到世界上的先知。」
15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.
耶穌看出他們要來強迫他，立他為王，就獨自又退避到山裏去了。
16 And when even was [now] come, his disciples went down unto the sea,
到了晚上，他的門徒下到海邊，
17 And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.
上船要到對岸的葛法翁去。天已黑了，耶穌還沒有有來到他們那裡。
18 And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.
海上因起了大風，便翻騰起來。
19 So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.
當他們搖櫓大約過了二十五或三十「斯塔狄」時，看見耶穌在海面行走，臨近了船，便害怕起來。
20 But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.
但他卻向他們說: 「是我，不要害怕！」
21 Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.
他們便欣然接他上船，船就立時到了他們所要去的地方。
22 The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but [that] his disciples were gone away alone;
第二天，留在海對岸的群眾，看見只有一隻小船留在那裡也知道耶穌沒有同他的門徒一起上船，只有他的門徒走了──
23 (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks: )
然而從提庇黎雅有別的小船來到了，靠近吾主祝謝後，人們吃餅的地方──
24 When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.
當群眾一發覺耶穌和他的門徒都不在那裡時，他們便上了那些小船，往葛法翁找耶穌去了。
25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?
當群眾在海對岸找著他時，就對他說: 「辣彼，你什麼時候到了這裏？」
26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
耶穌回答說: 「我實實在在告訴你們: 你們尋找我，並不是因為看到了神跡，而是因為吃餅吃飽了。
27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. (aiōnios g166)
你們不要為那可損壞的食糧勞碌，而要為那存留到永生的食糧勞碌，即人子所要賜給你們的，因為他是天主聖父所印證的。」 (aiōnios g166)
28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
他們問說: 「我們該做什麼，才算做天主的事業呢？」
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
耶穌回答說: 「天主要你們所做的事業，就是要你們信任他所派遣來的。」
30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
他們又說: 「那麼，你行什麼神跡給我們看，好叫我們信服你呢？你要行什麼事呢？
31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
我們的祖先在曠野裏吃過「瑪納」，正如經上所記載的：「他從天上賜給了他們食物吃。』
32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
於是耶穌向他們說: 「我實實在在告訴你們: 並不是梅瑟賜給了你們那從天上來的食糧，而是我父現今賜給你們從天上來的真正的食糧，
33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
因為天主的食糧，是那由天降下，並賜給世界生命的。」
34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
他們便說: 「主! 你就把這樣的食糧常常賜給我們罷! 」
35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
耶穌回答說：「我就是生命的食糧，到我這裏來的，永不會饑餓；信從我的，總不會渴。
36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
但是我向你們說過: 你們看見了我，仍然不信。
37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
凡父交給我的，必到我這裏來；而到我這裏來的，我必不把他拋棄於外，
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
因為我從天降下，不是為執行我的旨意。
39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
派遣我來者的旨意就是：凡他交給我的，叫我連一個也不失掉，而且在末日還要使他復活，
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (aiōnios g166)
因為這是我父的旨意： 凡看見子，並信從子的，必獲得永生；並且在末日，我要使他復活。」 (aiōnios g166)
41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
猶太人遂對耶穌竊竊私議，因為他說: 我是從天上降下來的食糧。
42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
他們說：「這人不是若瑟的兒子耶穌麼? 他的父親和母親，我們豈不是都認識麼？ 怎麼他竟說: 我是從天上降下來的呢？」
43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
耶穌回答說: 「你們不要彼此竊竊私議!
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
凡不是派遣我的父所吸引的人，誰也不能到我這裏來，而我在末日要叫他復活。
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
在先知書上記載: 『眾人都要蒙天主的訓誨。』凡由父聽教而學習的，必到我這裏來。
46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
這不是說有人看見過父，只有那從天主來的，才看見過父。
我實實在在告訴你們: 信從的人必得永生。 (aiōnios g166)
48 I am that bread of life.
我是生命的食糧。
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
你們的祖先在曠野中吃過「瑪納」，卻死了；
50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
這是從天上降下來的食糧，誰吃了，就不死。
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. (aiōn g165)
我是從天上降下的生活的食糧；誰若吃了這食糧，必要生活直到永遠。」「我所要賜給的食糧，就是我的肉，是為世界的生命而賜給的。」 (aiōn g165)
52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us [his] flesh to eat?
因此，猶太人彼此爭論說: 「這人怎能把他的肉，賜給我們吃呢？」
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
耶穌向他們說：「我實實在在告訴你們：你們若不吃人子的肉，不喝他的血，在你們內便沒有生命。
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. (aiōnios g166)
誰吃我的肉，並喝我的血，必得永生，在末日，我且要叫他復活， (aiōnios g166)
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
因為我的肉，是真實的食品；我的血，是真實的飲料。
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
誰吃我的肉，並喝我的血，便住在我內，我也住在他內。
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
就如那生活的父派遣了我，我因父而生活；照樣，那吃我的人，也要因我而生活。
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. (aiōn g165)
這是從天上降下來的食糧，不像祖先吃了「瑪納」仍然死了；誰吃這食糧，必要生活直到永遠。」 (aiōn g165)
59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
這些話是耶穌在葛法翁會堂教訓人時說的。
60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard [this], said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
他的門徒中有許多聽了，便說: 「這話生硬，有誰能聽得下去呢？」
61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
耶穌自佑他的門徒對這話竊竊私議，便向他們說: 「這話使你們起反感嗎？
62 [What] and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
那麼，如果你們看到人子昇到他先前所在的地方去，將怎樣呢？
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life.
使生活的是神，肉一無所用；我給你們所講論的話，就是神，就生命。
64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
但你們中間有些人，卻不相信。」原來，耶穌從起頭就知道那些人不信，和誰要出賣他。
65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
所以他又說: 「為此，我對你們說過: 除非蒙父恩賜的，誰也不能到我這裏來。」
66 From that [time] many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
從此，他的門徒中有許多人退去了，不再同他往來。
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
於是耶穌向那十二人說: 「難道你們也願走嗎？」
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
西滿伯多祿回答說: 「主! 惟有你有永生的話，我們去投奔誰呢？ (aiōnios g166)
69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
我們相信，而且己知道你是天主的聖者。」
70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
耶穌對他們說: 「我不是揀選了你們十二個人嗎？你們中卻有一個是魔鬼。」
71 He spake of Judas Iscariot [the son] of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
他是指依斯加略人西滿的兒子猶達斯說的；因為就是這人，十二人中的一個，將要出賣耶穌。
