Job 8
1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
೧“ಆಗ ಶೂಹ್ಯನಾದ ಬಿಲ್ದದನು ಹೀಗೆಂದನು,
2 How long wilt thou speak these [things]? and [how long shall] the words of thy mouth [be like] a strong wind?
೨“ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯಂತಿರುವ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿ ಇನ್ನೆಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವಿ?
3 Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
೩ದೇವರು ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾದ ತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನೋ? ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಡೊಂಕುಮಾಡುವನೋ?
4 If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;
೪ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಆತನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವರ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯದ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನೋ ಏನೋ?
5 If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
೫ನೀನು ಶುದ್ಧನೂ, ಯಥಾರ್ಥನೂ ಆಗಿ ಕುತೂಹಲದಿಂದ ಆತನ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನತೆಯನ್ನು ಬಯಸಿ, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ,
6 If thou [wert] pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
೬ಆತನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತು, ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸುವನು.
7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
೭ನಿನ್ನ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಅಲ್ಪವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಡೆಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಬಹಳ ವೃದ್ಧಿಹೊಂದುವುದು.
8 For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:
೮ದಯಮಾಡಿ, ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಡು.
9 (For we [are but of] yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth [are] a shadow: )
೯ನಾವಾದರೋ ನಿನ್ನೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರು, ನಮಗೆ ಏನೂ ತಿಳಿಯದು. ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿನ ನಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳು ನೆರಳಿನಂತಿವೆಯಷ್ಟೆ.
10 Shall not they teach thee, [and] tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
೧೦ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೇಳಿ, ಮನಃಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
11 Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?
೧೧ಜವುಗು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಜಂಬುಹುಲ್ಲು ಬೆಳೆಯುವುದೇ? ನೀರಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಪುಹುಲ್ಲು ಮೊಳೆಯುವುದೇ?
12 Whilst it [is] yet in his greenness, [and] not cut down, it withereth before any [other] herb.
೧೨ಇನ್ನೂ ಎಳೆಯದಾಗಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಮಿಕ್ಕ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಸಿಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ, ಯಾರೂ ಕೊಯ್ಯದೆ ಇದು ಒಣಗಿ ಹೋಗುವುದು.
13 So [are] the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish:
೧೩ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ಬಿಟ್ಟವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಗತಿಯು ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಇರುವುದು; ಭ್ರಷ್ಟನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ನಿರರ್ಥಕವಾಗುವುದು.
14 Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust [shall be] a spider’s web.
೧೪ಅವನ ಭರವಸವು ಭಂಗವಾಗುವುದು, ಅವನ ಆಶ್ರಯವು ಜೇಡದ ಮನೆಯಂತಿರುವುದು.
15 He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
೧೫ಅವನು ಆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಆತುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅದು ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅದು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರದು.
16 He [is] green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.
೧೬ಅವನು ಬಳ್ಳಿಯಂತೆ ಬಿಸಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹಸಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ತೋಟದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕವಲೊಡೆದು ಹರಡಿ
17 His roots are wrapped about the heap, [and] seeth the place of stones.
೧೭(ಕಲ್ಲು) ಕುಪ್ಪೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಬೇರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಣೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಕಲ್ಲುಬಿರುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನುಗ್ಗಬಲ್ಲನು.
18 If he destroy him from his place, then [it] shall deny him, [saying], I have not seen thee.
೧೮ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತು ಹಾಕಿದರೆ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವು, ‘ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಣೆ’ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗುವುದು.
19 Behold, this [is] the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
೧೯ಆ ಮಣ್ಣಿನಿಂದ ಬೇರೆ ಸಸಿಗಳು ಮೊಳೆಯುವವು. ಆಹಾ, ಇದೇ ಅವನ ಗತಿಯ ಸುಖ!
20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect [man], neither will he help the evil doers:
೨೦ಇಗೋ ದೇವರು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಕೆಡುಕರನ್ನು ಕೈಹಿಡಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
21 Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.
೨೧ಆತನು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ನಗುವಿನಿಂದಲೂ, ತುಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿಸುವನು.
22 They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.
೨೨ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನವು ಮುಸುಕುವುದು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ನಿವಾಸವು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲವಾಗುವುದು.”
