Job 39
1 Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? [or] canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?
૧ડુંગર પરની જંગલી બકરીઓ કેવી રીતે બચ્ચાંને જન્મ આપે છે તે શું તું જાણે છે? શું તું જાણી શકે છે કે જંગલી હરણીઓ બચ્ચાંને જન્મ કેવી રીતે આપે છે?
2 Canst thou number the months [that] they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
૨તેઓના ગર્ભના પૂરા મહિનાની સંખ્યા તું જાણે છે? શું તું જાણે છે કે તેઓ ક્યારે પોતાનાં બચ્ચાંને જન્મ આપે છે?
3 They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.
૩તેઓ નમીને તેઓનાં બચ્ચાંને જન્મ આપે છે, અને પછી તેઓને પ્રસૂતિ પીડાનો અનુભવ થાય છે
4 Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.
૪તેઓનાં બચ્ચાં મજબૂત અને ખુલ્લાં મેદાનોમાં ઊછરેલાં હોય છે; તેઓ બહાર નીકળે છે અને પાછાં ફરતાં નથી.
5 Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?
૫જંગલી ગધેડાને કોણે છૂટો મૂક્યો છે? તેનાં બંધ કોણે છોડી નાખ્યા છે?
6 Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.
૬તેનું ઘર મેં અરાબાહમાં, તથા તેનું રહેઠાણ મેં ખારી જમીનમાં ઠરાવ્યું છે.
7 He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver.
૭તે નગરની ધાંધલને તુચ્છ ગણે છે અને હાંકનારની બૂમો તેને સાંભળવી પડતી નથી.
8 The range of the mountains [is] his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.
૮જંગલ ગર્દભો પર્વતો પર રહે છે, કે જ્યાં તેઓનું ચરવાનું ઘાસ છે; ત્યાં તેઓ પોતાનો ખોરાક શોધી કાઢે છે.
9 Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?
૯શું તારી સેવા કરવામાં જંગલના બળદો આનંદ માણશે ખરા? તેઓ તારી ગભાણમાં રાત્રે આવીને રહેશે?
10 Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
૧૦શું તું જંગલના બળદને અછોડાથી બાંધીને ખેતરના ચાસમાં ચલાવી શકે છે? શું તે તારા માટે હળ ખેડશે?
11 Wilt thou trust him, because his strength [is] great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?
૧૧જંગલના બળદ ખૂબ શક્તિશાળી છે માટે શું તું તેનો ભરોસો કરશે? તારું કામ કરાવવા માટે શું તું તેની અપેક્ષા કરી શકશે?
12 Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather [it into] thy barn?
૧૨શું તું તેના પર ભરોસો રાખશે કે તે તારું અનાજ તારા ઘરે લાવશે? અને તારા ખળાના દાણા લાવીને વખારમાં ભરશે?
13 [Gavest thou] the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?
૧૩શાહમૃગ પોતાની પાંખો આનંદથી હલાવે છે, પણ તેની પાંખો અને પીંછાઓ શું માયાળુ હોય છે?
14 Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,
૧૪કેમ કે તે પોતાનાં ઈંડાં જમીન પર મૂકીને જતી રહે છે અને ધૂળ ઈંડાને સેવે છે.
15 And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.
૧૫કોઈ પગ મૂકીને ઈંડાને છૂંદી નાંખશે અથવા જંગલી પ્રાણીઓ તેમનો નાશ કરી નાખશે તેની તેને ચિંતા હોતી નથી.
16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though [they were] not hers: her labour is in vain without fear;
૧૬તે પોતાના બચ્ચાં વિષે એવી બેદરકાર રહે છે કે જાણે તે બચ્ચાં તેના પોતાનાં હોય જ નહિ; તેનો શ્રમ નિષ્ફળ જાય છે તોપણ તે ગભરાતી નથી.
17 Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.
૧૭કારણ કે ઈશ્વરે તેને બુદ્ધિહીન સર્જી છે અને તેમણે તેને અક્કલ આપી નથી.
18 What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.
૧૮તે જ્યારે કૂદે છે અને દોડવા લાગે છે, ત્યારે તે ઘોડા અને તેના સવાર પર હસે છે.
19 Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
૧૯શું ઘોડાને બળ તેં આપ્યું છે? શું તેં તેની ગરદનને કેશવાળીથી આચ્છાદિત કરી છે?
20 Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils [is] terrible.
૨૦શું તેં તેને તીડની જેમ કદી કુદાવ્યો છે? તેના નસકોરાના સુસવાટાની ભવ્યતા ભયજનક હોય છે.
21 He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in [his] strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.
૨૧તેના પંજામાં બળ છે અને તેમાં તે હર્ષ પામે છે; અને તે યુદ્ધમાં ઝડપથી દોડી જાય છે.
22 He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.
૨૨તે ડર ઉપર હસે છે અને તે ડરતો નથી; તે તલવાર જોઈને પાછો હટી જતો નથી.
23 The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.
૨૩ભાથો, તીરો તથા ચમકતી બરછી તેના શરીર પર ખખડે છે.
24 He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that [it is] the sound of the trumpet.
૨૪ઘોડો ઉશ્કેરાઈ જાય છે અને તે ખૂબ ઝડપથી જમીન પર દોડે છે; જ્યારે રણશિંગડાનો અવાજ તે સાંભળે છે ત્યારે તે સ્થિર રહી શકતો નથી.
25 He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.
૨૫જ્યારે પણ તેને રણશિંગડાનો નાદ સંભળાય છે ત્યારે તે કહે છે ‘વાહ!’ તેને દૂરથી યુદ્ધની ગંધ આવી જાય છે, સેનાપતિઓના હુકમો અને ગર્જનાઓ તે સમજી જાય છે.
26 Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, [and] stretch her wings toward the south?
૨૬શું બાજ પક્ષી તારા ડહાપણથી આકાશમાં ઊડે છે, અને પોતાની પાંખો દક્ષિણ તરફ ફેલાવે છે?
27 Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?
૨૭શું તારી આજ્ઞાથી ગરુડ પક્ષી પર્વતો પર ઊડે છે શું તેં તેને ઊંચે માળો બાંધવાનું કહ્યું હતું?
28 She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.
૨૮ગરુડ પર્વતના શિખર પર પોતાનું ઘર બનાવે છે ખડકનાં શિખર એ ગરુડોના કિલ્લા છે.
29 From thence she seeketh the prey, [and] her eyes behold afar off.
૨૯“ત્યાંથી તે પોતાનો શિકાર શોધી કાઢે છે; તેની આંખો તેને દૂરથી શોધી કાઢે છે.
30 Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain [are], there [is] she.
૩૦તેનાં બચ્ચાં પણ લોહી પીવે છે; અને જ્યાં મૃતદેહો પડ્યા હોય ત્યાં ગીધ એકઠાં થાય છે.”
