Job 29
1 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
ಯೋಬನು ಮತ್ತೆ ತನ್ನ ಚರ್ಚೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
2 Oh that I were as [in] months past, as [in] the days [when] God preserved me;
“ಕಳೆದುಹೋದ ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಂತೆ ಈಗಲೂ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು; ಆಗ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲವೆ?
3 When his candle shined upon my head, [and when] by his light I walked [through] darkness;
ದೇವರ ದೀಪವು ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ನಾನು ದೇವರ ಬೆಳಕಿನಿಂದ ಕತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ.
4 As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God [was] upon my tabernacle;
ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಯೌವನದ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ದೇವರ ಸ್ನೇಹವು ನನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
5 When the Almighty [was] yet with me, [when] my children [were] about me;
ಆಗ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು; ನನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇದ್ದರು.
6 When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil;
ನನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೊಸರಿನಿಂದ ತೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೆನು; ಬಂಡೆಯಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಓಲಿವ್ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಪ್ರವಾಹವಾಗಿ ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
7 When I went out to the gate through the city, [when] I prepared my seat in the street!
“ನಾನು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಮುಂಬಾಗಿಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ, ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಪೀಠದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಾಗ,
8 The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, [and] stood up.
ಯುವಕರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಪಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿದು ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು; ವೃದ್ಧರು ಸಹ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
9 The princes refrained talking, and laid [their] hand on their mouth.
ಪ್ರಧಾನರು ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿ ಹಿಡಿದು, ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
10 The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.
ಘನವಂತರು ಮೌನ ತಾಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು; ಅವರ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಅಂಗಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂಟಿರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
11 When the ear heard [me], then it blessed me; and when the eye saw [me], it gave witness to me:
ಕೇಳಿದ ಕಿವಿಯು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹರಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ನೋಡಿದವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
12 Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and [him that had] none to help him.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅಂಗಲಾಚುವ ಬಡವನನ್ನೂ, ಸಹಾಯಕನಿಲ್ಲದ ಅನಾಥನನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು.
13 The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
ಸಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ವಿಧವೆಯ ಹೃದಯವು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಹಾಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.
14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment [was] as a robe and a diadem.
ನಾನು ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಂತೆ ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದೆನು; ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವು ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಪೇಟದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
15 I was eyes to the blind, and feet [was] I to the lame.
ನಾನು ಕುರುಡನಿಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣೂ, ಕುಂಟನಿಗೆ ಕಾಲೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೆನು.
16 I [was] a father to the poor: and the cause [which] I knew not I searched out.
ದರಿದ್ರರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು; ಅಪರಿಚಿತರ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.
17 And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.
ದುಷ್ಟರ ದವಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬೇಟೆಯನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.
18 Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply [my] days as the sand.
“ಆಗ ನಾನು, ‘ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಾನು ಸಾಯುವೆನು; ಮರಳಿನಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಇರುತ್ತವೆ,
19 My root [was] spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch.
ನನ್ನ ಬೇರು ನೀರಿನ ಬಳಿ ಹಬ್ಬಿರುತ್ತದೆ; ರಾತ್ರಿಯಿಡಿ ನನ್ನ ಕೊಂಬೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಂಜು ಬಿದ್ದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
20 My glory [was] fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand.
ನನ್ನ ಘನವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಬಿಲ್ಲು ಸಹ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಬಲಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ,’ ಎಂದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.
21 Unto me [men] gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.
“ಜನರು ನನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಎದುರುನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ನನ್ನ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಕೇಳಲು ಮೌನವಾಗಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
22 After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them.
ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಬೇರೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ನುಡಿ ಅವರ ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
23 And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide [as] for the latter rain.
ಮಳೆಯಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಎದುರುನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಮುಂಗಾರಿನ ಮಳೆಯಹಾಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
24 [If] I laughed on them, they believed [it] not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.
ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಮುಗುಳ್ನಗಿದಾಗ, ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ನಂಬಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಮುಖದ ಕಾಂತಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
25 I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one [that] comforteth the mourners.
ನಾನು ಅವರ ಪ್ರಧಾನನಾಗಿ ಕೂತು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಅರಸನಂತೆ ಆಸೀನನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು. ನಾನು ದುಃಖಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುವವನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದೆನು.
