Job 28
1 Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold [where] they fine [it].
൧വെള്ളിയ്ക്ക് ഒരു ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനവും പൊന്ന് ഊതിക്കഴിക്കുവാൻ ഒരു സ്ഥലവും ഉണ്ട്.
2 Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass [is] molten [out of] the stone.
൨ഇരുമ്പ് മണ്ണിൽനിന്നെടുക്കുന്നു; കല്ലുരുക്കി ചെമ്പെടുക്കുന്നു.
3 He setteth an end to darkness, and searcheth out all perfection: the stones of darkness, and the shadow of death.
൩മനുഷ്യൻ അന്ധകാരത്തിന് ഒരു അതിർ വയ്ക്കുന്നു; കൂരിരുളിലെയും അന്ധതമസ്സിലെയും കല്ലിനെ അങ്ങേയറ്റംവരെ ശോധനചെയ്യുന്നു.
4 The flood breaketh out from the inhabitant; [even the waters] forgotten of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone away from men.
൪താമസമുള്ള സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്ന് ദൂരെ അവർ കുഴികുത്തുന്നു; നടന്നുപോകുന്ന മനുഷ്യന് അവർ മറന്നു പോയവർ തന്നെ; മനുഷ്യർക്ക് അകലെ അവർ തൂങ്ങി ആടുന്നു.
5 [As for] the earth, out of it cometh bread: and under it is turned up as it were fire.
൫ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്ന് ആഹാരം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ഉൾഭാഗം തീകൊണ്ടെന്നപോലെ മറിയുന്നു.
6 The stones of it [are] the place of sapphires: and it hath dust of gold.
൬അതിലെ പാറകൾ നീലരത്നത്തിന്റെ ഉല്പത്തിസ്ഥാനം; സ്വർണ്ണപ്പൊടിയും അതിൽ ഉണ്ട്.
7 [There is] a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture’s eye hath not seen:
൭അതിന്റെ പാത കഴുകൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; പരുന്തിന്റെ കണ്ണ് അതിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.
8 The lion’s whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it.
൮ഘോരകാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങൾ അതിൽ ചവിട്ടിയിട്ടില്ല; ഭീകരസിംഹം അതിലെ നടന്നിട്ടുമില്ല.
9 He putteth forth his hand upon the rock; he overturneth the mountains by the roots.
൯അവർ തീക്കൽപാറയിലേക്ക് കൈ നീട്ടുന്നു; പർവ്വതങ്ങളെ അവർ വേരോടെ മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.
10 He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing.
൧൦അവർ പാറകളുടെ ഇടയിൽകൂടി ചാലുകൾ വെട്ടുന്നു; അവരുടെ കണ്ണ് വിലയേറിയ വസ്തുക്കളെയെല്ലാം കാണുന്നു.
11 He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and [the thing that is] hid bringeth he forth to light.
൧൧അവർ നീരൊഴുക്കുകളെ ഒഴുകാത്തവിധം തടഞ്ഞുനിർത്തുന്നു; മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നവയെ അവർ വെളിച്ചത്ത് കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു.
12 But where shall wisdom be found? and where [is] the place of understanding?
൧൨എന്നാൽ ജ്ഞാനം എവിടെ കണ്ടുകിട്ടും? വിവേകത്തിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനം എവിടെ?
13 Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.
൧൩അതിന്റെ വില മനുഷ്യൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്ത് അതിനെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നില്ല.
14 The depth saith, It [is] not in me: and the sea saith, [It is] not with me.
൧൪അത് എന്നിൽ ഇല്ല എന്ന് ആഴമേറിയ സമുദ്രം പറയുന്നു; അത് എന്റെ പക്കൽ ഇല്ല എന്ന് കടലും പറയുന്നു.
15 It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed [for] the price thereof.
൧൫സ്വർണ്ണം കൊടുത്താൽ അത് കിട്ടുന്നതല്ല; അതിന്റെ വിലയായി വെള്ളി തൂക്കിക്കൊടുക്കാറില്ല.
16 It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
൧൬ഓഫീർപൊന്നോ വിലയേറിയ ഗോമേദകമോ നീലരത്നമോ ഒന്നും അതിന് പകരമാകുകയില്ല;
17 The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it [shall not be for] jewels of fine gold.
൧൭സ്വർണ്ണവും സ്ഫടികവും അതിന് തുല്ല്യമല്ല; തങ്കആഭരണങ്ങൾ പകരം കൊടുത്ത് അത് നേടാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല.
18 No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom [is] above rubies.
൧൮പവിഴത്തിന്റെയും പളുങ്കിന്റെയും പേര് പറയുകയും വേണ്ടാ; ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ വില മുത്തുകളേക്കാൾ അധികമാണ്.
19 The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.
൧൯എത്യോപ്യയിലെ പുഷ്യരാഗം അതിനോട് സമമല്ല; തങ്കംകൊണ്ട് അതിന്റെ വില മതിക്കാകുന്നതുമല്ല.
20 Whence then cometh wisdom? and where [is] the place of understanding?
൨൦പിന്നെ ജ്ഞാനം എവിടെനിന്ന് വരുന്നു? വിവേകത്തിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനം എവിടെ?
21 Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.
൨൧അത് സകലജീവികളുടെയും കണ്ണുകൾക്ക് മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികൾക്ക് അത് മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
22 Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.
൨൨ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചെവികൊണ്ട് അതിനെപ്പറ്റി കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്ന് നാശവും മരണവും പറയുന്നു.
23 God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.
൨൩ദൈവം അതിലേക്കുള്ള വഴി അറിയുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനം അവിടുത്തേക്ക് നിശ്ചയമുണ്ട്.
24 For he looketh to the ends of the earth, [and] seeth under the whole heaven;
൨൪ദൈവം ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളിലേക്ക് നോക്കുന്നു; ആകാശത്തിന്റെ കീഴെല്ലാം കാണുന്നു.
25 To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure.
൨൫ദൈവം കാറ്റിനെ തൂക്കിനോക്കുകയും വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ അളവ് നിശ്ചയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
26 When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:
൨൬ദൈവം മഴയ്ക്ക് ഒരു നിയമവും ഇടിമിന്നലിന് ഒരു വഴിയും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയപ്പോൾ
27 Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out.
൨൭അവിടുന്ന് അത് കണ്ട് വർണ്ണിക്കുകയും അത് സ്ഥാപിച്ച് പരിശോധിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that [is] wisdom; and to depart from evil [is] understanding.
൨൮കർത്താവിനോടുള്ള ഭക്തി തന്നെ ജ്ഞാനം; ദോഷം അകന്ന് നടക്കുന്നത് തന്നെ വിവേകം എന്ന് ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
