Job 21
1 But Job answered and said,
ଏଥିରେ ଆୟୁବ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା,
2 Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.
“ମନୋଯୋଗ କରି ମୋʼ କଥା ଶୁଣ ଓ ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱନା ହେଉ।
3 Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on.
ମୋତେ ଅନୁମତି ଦିଅ, ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ କଥା କହିବି ଓ ମୁଁ କହିସାରିଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଉପହାସ କରୁଥାଅ।
4 As for me, [is] my complaint to man? and if [it were so], why should not my spirit be troubled?
ମୋʼ ଗୁହାରି କʼଣ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ନିକଟରେ? ତେବେ ମୁଁ କାହିଁକି ଅଧୈର୍ଯ୍ୟ ନୋହିବି?
5 Mark me, and be astonished, and lay [your] hand upon [your] mouth.
ମୋତେ ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କରି ଚମତ୍କୃତ ହୁଅ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମୁଖରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ହାତ ଦିଅ।
6 Even when I remember I am afraid, and trembling taketh hold on my flesh.
ମୁଁ ସ୍ମରଣ କଲେ ବ୍ୟାକୁଳ ହୁଏ ଓ ମୋʼ ଶରୀର କମ୍ପିତ ହୁଏ।
7 Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?
ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନେ କାହିଁକି ଜୀବିତ ଥାʼନ୍ତି, ବୃଦ୍ଧ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ଓ ପରାକ୍ରମରେ ବର୍ଦ୍ଧିଷ୍ଣୁ ହୁଅନ୍ତି?
8 Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବଂଶ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନସନ୍ତତି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିଗୋଚରରେ ସ୍ଥିରୀକୃତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
9 Their houses [are] safe from fear, neither [is] the rod of God upon them.
ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଗୃହ ଭୟରୁ ରକ୍ଷିତ ଥାଏ, କିଅବା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ଯଷ୍ଟି ନ ଥାଏ।
10 Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବୃଷ ସଙ୍ଗମ କରି ନିଷ୍ଫଳ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ; ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଗାଭୀ ପ୍ରସବ କରେ ଓ ଗର୍ଭପାତ କରେ ନାହିଁ।
11 They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
ସେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବାଳକଗଣକୁ ପଲ ପରି ବାହାରେ ପଠାନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ନୃତ୍ୟ କରନ୍ତି।
12 They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.
ସେମାନେ ତବଲା ଓ ବୀଣା ବଜାଇ ଗାନ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ବଂଶୀଧ୍ୱନିରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରନ୍ତି।
ସେହି ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନେ ସମୃଦ୍ଧିରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଦିନ କ୍ଷେପଣ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଏକ ନିମିଷରେ ପାତାଳକୁ ଓହ୍ଲାଇଯାʼନ୍ତି। (Sheol h7585)
14 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
ତଥାପି ସେମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ‘ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଦୂର ହୁଅ; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମାର୍ଗ ବିଷୟକ ଜ୍ଞାନ ବାଞ୍ଛା କରୁ ନାହୁଁ।
15 What [is] the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ କିଏ ଯେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ସେବା କରିବା? ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ଲାଭ ପାଇବା?’
16 Lo, their good [is] not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
ଦେଖ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସୁଖ ସମୃଦ୍ଧି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ନାହିଁ; ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ମୋʼ ଠାରୁ ଦୂରରେ ଥାଏ।
17 How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and [how oft] cometh their destruction upon them! [God] distributeth sorrows in his anger.
କେତେ ଥର ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଦୀପ ନିଭାଯାଏ? ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବିପଦ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ପଡ଼େ? ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଆପଣା କ୍ରୋଧରେ କ୍ଳେଶ ବିତରଣ କରନ୍ତି?
18 They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.
ସେମାନେ ବାୟୁ ଆଗରେ କୁଟା ପରି ଓ ବତାସରେ ଉଡ଼ନ୍ତା ତୁଷ ପରି ହୁଅନ୍ତି?
19 God layeth up his iniquity for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know [it].
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କହୁଅଛ, ‘ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତାହାର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହାର ଅଧର୍ମ ସଞ୍ଚୟ କରନ୍ତି।’ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ହିଁ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ଦେଉନ୍ତୁ, ତହିଁରେ ସେ ତାହା ଜାଣିବ।
20 His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
ତାହାର ନିଜ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ତାହାର ବିନାଶ ଦେଖୁ ଓ ସେ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କ କ୍ରୋଧ ପାନ କରୁ।
21 For what pleasure [hath] he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
କାରଣ ମଧ୍ୟଭାଗରୁ ତାହାର ମାସ-ସଂଖ୍ୟା କଟାଗଲେ, ତାହାର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ବଂଶରେ କି ତାହାର କିଛି ସନ୍ତୋଷ ଥାଏ?
22 Shall [any] teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.
ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱବାସୀମାନଙ୍କର ଶାସନ କରନ୍ତି, ଏଣୁ କେହି କି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଶିଖାଇବ?
23 One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.
କେହି ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଓ ଶାନ୍ତି ଭୋଗ କରି ବଳବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇ ମରେ;
24 His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.
ତାହାର ସ୍ତନ ଦୁଗ୍ଧରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଓ ତାହାର ଅସ୍ଥିର ମେଦ ସତେଜ ଥାଏ।
25 And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.
ଆଉ, କେହି ପ୍ରାଣର ତିକ୍ତତାରେ ମରେ ଓ କେତେବେଳେ ମଙ୍ଗଳର ଆସ୍ୱାଦ ପାଏ ନାହିଁ।
26 They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.
ଏମାନେ ଏକ ସମାନ ମାଟିରେ ଶୟନ କରନ୍ତି ଓ କୀଟ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରେ।
27 Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices [which] ye wrongfully imagine against me.
ଦେଖ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବିଚାରସବୁ ଓ ମୋʼ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ୟାୟକଳ୍ପିତ ସଂକଳ୍ପସବୁ ଜାଣେ।
28 For ye say, Where [is] the house of the prince? and where [are] the dwelling places of the wicked?
କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କହୁଅଛ, ‘ସେହି ଅଧିପତିର ଗୃହ କାହିଁ? ଓ ସେହି ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ବସତି-ତମ୍ବୁ କାହିଁ?’
29 Have ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not know their tokens,
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କʼଣ ପଥିକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରି ନାହଁ? ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କʼଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଲକ୍ଷଣ ଜାଣ ନାହିଁ ଯେ,
30 That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକ ବିପଦର ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ରକ୍ଷିତ? ଓ ସେମାନେ କୋପର ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଘେନାଯାʼନ୍ତି?
31 Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him [what] he hath done?
ତାହାର ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ କିଏ ତାହାର ପଥ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବ? ଓ କିଏ ତାହାର କୃତ କର୍ମର ଫଳ ତାହାକୁ ଦେବ?
32 Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.
ତଥାପି ସେ କବରକୁ ବହାଯିବ ଓ କବର ଉପରେ ପ୍ରହରୀ ରହିବ।
33 The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as [there are] innumerable before him.
ଉପତ୍ୟକାର ମୃତ୍ତିକା ତାହା ପ୍ରତି ମିଷ୍ଟ ହେବ, ଯେପରି ତାହା ପୂର୍ବରେ ଅସଂଖ୍ୟ ଲୋକ, ସେପରି ତାହାର ପଶ୍ଚାତ୍ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଗମନ କରିବେ।
34 How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?
ତେବେ କିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ବୃଥାରେ ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱନା ଦେଉଅଛ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉତ୍ତରରେ ତ କେବଳ ମିଥ୍ୟା ଥାଏ।”
