Job 20
1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
१नंतर सोफर नामाथी उत्तर देऊन म्हणाला,
2 Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for [this] I make haste.
२“माझे विचार मला उत्तर द्यायला भाग पाडत आहेत. कारण त्याबद्दलची काळजी माझ्या मनात आहे.
3 I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.
३तुझ्या उत्तरांनी तू आमचा अपमान केला आहेस, परंतु उत्तर कसे द्यायचे ते माझे मन मला शिकवते जी माझ्या समजण्यापलीकडे आहे.
4 Knowest thou [not] this of old, since man was placed upon earth,
४तुला हे सत्य प्राचीन काळापासुन माहीती आहे, जेव्हा देवाने मनुष्याची स्थापना पृथ्वीवर केली, तेव्हा पासून,
5 That the triumphing of the wicked [is] short, and the joy of the hypocrite [but] for a moment?
५दुष्टांचा जयजयकार फार कमी काळासाठी असतो, अधर्म्याचा आनंद केवळ क्षणिक असतो.
6 Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;
६त्याचा माहातम्य गगनाला जाऊन भिडेल, आणि त्याचे मस्तक ढगांपर्यंत पोहोचू शकेल.
7 [Yet] he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where [is] he?
७परंतु त्याच्या विष्ठेप्रमाणे त्याचा नाश होईल. जे लोक त्यास ओळखतात ते विचारतील, ‘तो कुठे गेला?’
8 He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.
८तो एखाद्या स्वप्नासारखाउडून जाईल व तो कोणालाही सापडणार नाही. त्यास घालवून देण्यात येईल आणि एखाद्या रात्रीच्या स्वप्नासारखा तो विसरलाही जाईल.
9 The eye also [which] saw him shall [see him] no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.
९ज्या लोकांनी त्यास पाहिले होते, त्यांना तो पुन्हा दिसणार नाही. त्याचे कुटुंब पुन्हा कधी त्याच्याकडे बघणार नाही,
10 His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.
१०दुष्ट मनुष्याने गरीब लोकांकडून जे काही घेतले होते ते त्याची मुले परत करतील. दुष्ट मनुष्याचे स्वत: चे हातच त्याची संपत्ती परत करतील.
11 His bones are full [of the sin] of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.
११तो तरुण होता तेव्हा त्याची हाडे मजबूत होती. परंतु आता इतर अवयवांप्रमाणे त्यांची सुध्दा माती होईल.
12 Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, [though] he hide it under his tongue;
१२दुष्टाला वाईट गोष्टी चांगल्या वाटतात. तो त्यांची चव नीट कळावी म्हणून त्या आपल्या जिभेखाली ठेवतो.
13 [Though] he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:
१३दुष्ट मनुष्यास वाईट गोष्टी आवडतात म्हणून तो त्यांना सोडीत नाही. तो त्या आपल्या तोंडात ठेवतो.
14 [Yet] his meat in his bowels is turned, [it is] the gall of asps within him.
१४परंतु त्या वाईट गोष्टीच त्याच्या पोटात विष होतील. त्याच्या आत त्याचे सर्पाच्या विषासारखे जहर होईल.
15 He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
१५त्याने धन गिळले तरी तो ती ओकून टाकील, देव त्यास ती पोटातून ओकायला भाग पाडेल.
16 He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper’s tongue shall slay him.
१६तो फुरशाचे विष चोखील, सर्पाचा दंशच त्यास मारुन टाकील.
17 He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.
१७नंतर मधाने आणि दुधाने भरुन वाहाणाऱ्या नद्या बघण्याचे सौख्य तो अनुभवू शकणार नाही.
18 That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow [it] down: according to [his] substance [shall] the restitution [be], and he shall not rejoice [therein].
१८त्याचा नफा परत करणे भाग पडेल. त्याने जे सुख मिळवण्यासाठी कष्ट केले ते सुख भोगण्याची परवानगी त्यास मिळणार नाही.
19 Because he hath oppressed [and] hath forsaken the poor; [because] he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not;
१९कारण त्याने गरीबांना कष्ट दिले. त्यांना वाईट वागवले. त्याने त्यांची काळजी घेतली नाही. त्यांच्या वस्तू हिसकावून घेतल्या. दुसऱ्यांनी बांधलेली घरे त्यांनी बळकावली.
20 Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.
२०कारण त्यास माहीती आहे त्यास कोणतेच समाधान नसते. म्हणून त्यास आपल्या कोणत्याही गोष्टीविषयी निभावून जाता येणार नाही.
21 There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.
२१तो खातो तेव्हा काहीही शिल्लक ठेवीत नाही. त्याचे यश टिकणार नाही.
22 In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.
२२जेव्हा भरपूर असेल तेव्हा तो संकटानी दबून जाईल. गरीबीमध्ये असणाऱ्यांचे हात त्याच्यावर येतील.
23 [When] he is about to fill his belly, [God] shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain [it] upon him while he is eating.
२३दुष्ट मनुष्याने त्यास हवे तितके खाल्ल्यानंतर देव त्याचा क्रोधाग्नी त्याच्यावर फेकेल. देव दुष्टावर त्याच्या शिक्षेचा पाऊस पाडेल.
24 He shall flee from the iron weapon, [and] the bow of steel shall strike him through.
२४दुष्ट मनुष्य तलवारीला भिऊन पळून जाण्याचा प्रयत्न करेल. परंतु पितळी बाण त्याचा बळी घेईन.
25 It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors [are] upon him.
२५पितळी बाण त्याच्या शरीरातून आरपार जाईल. त्याचे चकाकणारे टोक त्याचे पित्ताशय भेदील आणि तो भयभीत होईल.
26 All darkness [shall be] hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.
२६त्याच्या खजिन्यावर पूर्ण कोळोख येईल. मानवाने उत्पन्न केला नाही असा अग्नी त्याचा नाश करेल. त्याच्या घरातल्या सर्व वस्तूंचा नाश करेल.
27 The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.
२७आकाश त्याचा अधर्म प्रकट करील, पृथ्वी त्याच्याविरुध्द साक्ष देईल.
28 The increase of his house shall depart, [and his goods] shall flow away in the day of his wrath.
२८पुराने त्याच्या घरातील संपत्ती नष्ट होईल, देवाच्या क्रोधाच्या दिवशी त्याची संपत्ती वाहून जाईल.
29 This [is] the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.
२९देवाकडून नेमलेला हा दुष्टमनुष्याचा वाटा आहे, देवाने ठेवलेले हे त्याचे वतन आहे.”
