Job 11
1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
१तब नामाती सोपर ने कहा,
2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?
२“बहुत सी बातें जो कही गई हैं, क्या उनका उत्तर देना न चाहिये? क्या यह बकवादी मनुष्य धर्मी ठहराया जाए?
3 Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
३क्या तेरे बड़े बोल के कारण लोग चुप रहें? और जब तू ठट्ठा करता है, तो क्या कोई तुझे लज्जित न करे?
4 For thou hast said, My doctrine [is] pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.
४तू तो यह कहता है, ‘मेरा सिद्धान्त शुद्ध है और मैं परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में पवित्र हूँ।’
5 But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;
५परन्तु भला हो, कि परमेश्वर स्वयं बातें करें, और तेरे विरुद्ध मुँह खोले,
6 And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that [they are] double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee [less] than thine iniquity [deserveth].
६और तुझ पर बुद्धि की गुप्त बातें प्रगट करे, कि उनका मर्म तेरी बुद्धि से बढ़कर है। इसलिए जान ले, कि परमेश्वर तेरे अधर्म में से बहुत कुछ भूल जाता है।
7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
७“क्या तू परमेश्वर का गूढ़ भेद पा सकता है? और क्या तू सर्वशक्तिमान का मर्म पूरी रीति से जाँच सकता है?
8 [It is] as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? (Sheol h7585)
८वह आकाश सा ऊँचा है; तू क्या कर सकता है? वह अधोलोक से गहरा है, तू कहाँ समझ सकता है? (Sheol h7585)
9 The measure thereof [is] longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
९उसकी माप पृथ्वी से भी लम्बी है और समुद्र से चौड़ी है।
10 If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?
१०जब परमेश्वर बीच से गुजरे, बन्दी बना ले और अदालत में बुलाए, तो कौन उसको रोक सकता है?
11 For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider [it]?
११क्योंकि वह पाखण्डी मनुष्यों का भेद जानता है, और अनर्थ काम को बिना सोच विचार किए भी जान लेता है।
12 For vain man would be wise, though man be born [like] a wild ass’s colt.
१२निर्बुद्धि मनुष्य बुद्धिमान हो सकता है; यद्यपि मनुष्य जंगली गदहे के बच्चे के समान जन्म ले;
13 If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;
१३“यदि तू अपना मन शुद्ध करे, और परमेश्वर की ओर अपने हाथ फैलाए,
14 If iniquity [be] in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.
१४और यदि कोई अनर्थ काम तुझ से हुए हो उसे दूर करे, और अपने डेरों में कोई कुटिलता न रहने दे,
15 For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:
१५तब तो तू निश्चय अपना मुँह निष्कलंक दिखा सकेगा; और तू स्थिर होकर कभी न डरेगा।
16 Because thou shalt forget [thy] misery, [and] remember [it] as waters [that] pass away:
१६तब तू अपना दुःख भूल जाएगा, तू उसे उस पानी के समान स्मरण करेगा जो बह गया हो।
17 And [thine] age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.
१७और तेरा जीवन दोपहर से भी अधिक प्रकाशमान होगा; और चाहे अंधेरा भी हो तो भी वह भोर सा हो जाएगा।
18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig [about thee, and] thou shalt take thy rest in safety.
१८और तुझे आशा होगी, इस कारण तू निर्भय रहेगा; और अपने चारों ओर देख देखकर तू निर्भय विश्राम कर सकेगा।
19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make [thee] afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
१९और जब तू लेटेगा, तब कोई तुझे डराएगा नहीं; और बहुत लोग तुझे प्रसन्न करने का यत्न करेंगे।
20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope [shall be as] the giving up of the ghost.
२०परन्तु दुष्ट लोगों की आँखें धुँधली हो जाएँगी, और उन्हें कोई शरणस्थान न मिलेगा और उनकी आशा यही होगी कि प्राण निकल जाए।”
