Isaiah 51
1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock [whence] ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit [whence] ye are digged.
Höret auf Mich, ihr, die ihr der Gerechtigkeit nachsetzet, die ihr Jehovah suchet. Blicket auf den Fels, aus dem ihr gehauen seid, und auf die ausgehöhlte Grube, daraus ihr seid gegraben.
2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah [that] bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
Blicket auf Abraham, euren Vater, und auf Sarah, die mit euch gekreißet; denn ihn, den einen habe Ich gerufen und ihn werde Ich segnen und ihn mehren.
3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
Denn Jehovah wird Zion trösten, wird trösten alle seine Öden, und machen seine Wüste wie Eden, und seine Einöde wie den Garten Jehovahs; Freude und Fröhlichkeit findet man darin, Bekenntnis und die Stimme des Lobgesangs.
4 Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
Horchet auf Mich, ihr Mein Volk, und nehmt es Mir zu Ohren, ihr, Mein Volksstamm: denn von Mir wird ausgehen das Gesetz, und Mein Gericht will Ich einsetzen zum Licht der Völker.
5 My righteousness [is] near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
Nahe ist Meine Gerechtigkeit, Mein Heil zieht aus und Meine Arme richten die Völker; die Inseln hoffen auf Mich und warten auf Meinen Arm.
6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
Erhebt eure Augen zum Himmel und blicket auf die Erde unten; denn die Himmel schwinden dahin wie Rauch und wie ein Kleid veraltet die Erde, und die, so auf ihr wohnen, sterben ebenso dahin; Mein Heil aber ist in Ewigkeit und Meine Gerechtigkeit wird nicht zerbrechen.
7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart [is] my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
Höret Mir zu, die ihr kennet Gerechtigkeit, du Volk, in dessen Herze Mein Gesetz ist, fürchtet die Schmach des Menschen nicht, und entsetzet euch nicht vor ihren Verhöhnungen;
8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
Denn wie das Kleid wird sie die Motte fressen, und fressen wird sie die Schabe wie die Wolle; Meine Gerechtigkeit aber ist in Ewigkeit, und Mein Heil in das Geschlecht der Geschlechter.
9 Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. [Art] thou not it that hath cut Rahab, [and] wounded the dragon?
Erwache, erwache, ziehe Stärke an, Arm Jehovahs, erwache wie in der Vorzeit Tagen, den Geschlechtern der Ewigkeiten. Bist Du es nicht, Der Rahab zerhauen, den Drachen erschlagen hat?
10 [Art] thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?
Bist Du es nicht, Der das Meer, die Wasser des großen Abgrundes vertrocknete; Der die Tiefen des Meeres zum Wege machte, auf dem die Erlösten hinüberzogen?
11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy [shall be] upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; [and] sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
Und die Erlösten Jehovahs kehren zurück und kommen gen Zion mit Jubelsang, und ewige Fröhlichkeit auf ihrem Haupt. Freude und Fröhlichkeit erreichen sie, es fliehen Gram und Seufzen.
12 I, [even] I, [am] he that comforteth you: who [art] thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man [that] shall die, and of the son of man [which] shall be made [as] grass;
Ich, Ich bin euer Tröster. Wer bist du, daß du dich fürchtest vor einem Menschen, der doch stirbt; vor dem Sohne des Menschen, wie Gras dahingegeben?
13 And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where [is] the fury of the oppressor?
Und du vergaßest Jehovah, Der dich gemacht, Der die Himmel ausgespannt und die Erde gegründet; und schauderst beständig den ganzen Tag vor dem Grimme des Ängstigers, wenn er bereit ist, zu verderben? Und wo ist nun der Grimm des Ängstigers?
14 The captive exile hasteneth that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.
Der herausführt, wird eilen, zu öffnen. Und er wird nicht sterben in der Grube, und es wird ihm nicht an seinem Brot mangeln.
15 But I [am] the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts [is] his name.
Denn Ich bin Jehovah, dein Gott, Der das Meer aufregt, daß seine Wogen toben. Jehovah der Heerscharen ist Sein Name.
16 And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou [art] my people.
Und Ich lege Meine Worte in deinen Mund und decke dich im Schatten Meiner Hand, zu pflanzen den Himmel und die Erde zu gründen, und zu Zion zu sprechen: Mein Volk bist du!
17 Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, [and] wrung [them] out.
Erwecke dich, erwecke dich, stehe auf, Jerusalem, die du getrunken aus Jehovahs Hand den Becher Seines Grimmes; die Hefe des Bechers des Taumelns hast du getrunken, ausgeschlürft.
18 [There is] none to guide her among all the sons [whom] she hath brought forth; neither [is there any] that taketh her by the hand of all the sons [that] she hath brought up.
Es leitet sie keiner von all den Söhnen, die sie gebar; und keiner faßt sie bei der Hand von all den Söhnen, die sie großgezogen.
19 These two [things] are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?
Diese zwei sind es, die dir begegnen. Wer hätte Mitleid mit dir? Verheerung und Zerbrechen, und Hunger und das Schwert. Wer möchte dich trösten?
20 Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.
Erschöpft liegen deine Söhne an den Häuptern aller Gassen, wie im Netz der Büffel, voll vom Grimm Jehovahs, von dem Drohen deines Gottes.
21 Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
Darum höre doch dies, Elende und Trunkene, aber nicht vom Wein.
22 Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God [that] pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, [even] the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:
So spricht dein Herr Jehovah und dein Gott, Der hadert für Sein Volk: Siehe, Ich nehme von deiner Hand den Taumelbecher, die Hefen des Bechers Meines Grimmes, du sollst ihn nicht noch fürder trinken.
23 But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
Und gebe ihn in die Hand derer, die dich grämten, die zu deiner Seele sprachen: Beuge dich nieder, daß wir darübergehen, und lege wie die Erde deinen Rücken und wie eine Gasse denen, die vorübergehen.
