Isaiah 48
1 Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, [but] not in truth, nor in righteousness.
१जे तुम्ही इस्राएलाच्या नावाने ओळखले जाता, आणि जे तुम्ही यहूदाच्या शुक्राणातून जन्मले आहा, याकोबाच्या घराण्या, हे ऐक. जे तुम्ही परमेश्वराच्या नावाची शपथ वाहता आणि इस्राएलाच्या देवाला विनंती करता, पण हे तुम्ही प्रामाणिकपणे आणि खरेपणाने करीत नाही.
2 For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts [is] his name.
२कारण ते स्वत: ला पवित्र नगराचे म्हणतात आणि इस्राएलाच्या देवावर विश्वास ठेवतात, ज्याचे नाव सेनाधीश परमेश्वर
3 I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did [them] suddenly, and they came to pass.
३“मी काळापूर्वीच या गोष्टी जाहीर केल्या आहेत, त्या माझ्या मुखातून निघाल्या आणि मीच त्या कळविल्या. मी त्या अचानक करु लागलो, आणि त्या घडून आल्या.
4 Because I knew that thou [art] obstinate, and thy neck [is] an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;
४कारण मला माहित होते की तुम्ही हट्टी आहात, तुमच्या मानेचे स्नायु लोखंडाप्रमाणे ताठ आणि तुझे कपाळ कांस्याचे आहे.
5 I have even from the beginning declared [it] to thee; before it came to pass I shewed [it] thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.
५यास्तव मी तुला या गोष्टी आधीच घोषीत केल्या, त्या घडण्या अगोदरच मी तुला सांगितले, जेणेकरून तू असे म्हणू नये की, माझ्या मूर्तीने ती कृत्ये केली, आणि माझ्या कोरीव मूर्तीने व माझ्या ओतीव मूर्तीने ती आज्ञापिले.”
6 Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare [it]? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.
६तू या गोष्टी बद्दल ऐकले; हे सर्व पुरावे पहा; आणि तू, मी जे काही बोललो ते खरे आहे का ते मान्य नाही करणार? आतापासून मी तुला नव्या गोष्टी, माहीत नसलेल्या गोष्टी दाखवील्या आहेत.
7 They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
७या गोष्टी पूर्वी घडून गेलेल्या नाहीत, त्या आत्ताच अस्तित्वांत आणल्या या आता घडत असणाऱ्या गोष्टी आहेत, आणि आधी तू त्यांच्याबद्दल कधीच ऐकले नाहीस. त्यामुळे आम्हांला हे अगोदरच माहीत होते असे तू म्हणू शकणार नाही.
8 Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time [that] thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
८त्या तू ऐकल्या नाही, त्या तुला माहीत नाही, या गोष्टी पूर्वकालापासून तुझ्या कानाला माहित नव्हत्या, कारण मला माहित होते के तू फार कपट करणारा आहेस, आणि जन्मापासूनच तू बंडखोर आहेस.
9 For my name’s sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.
९पण माझ्या नावा करिता, आणि माझ्या सन्मानार्थ मी तुझा नाश करणार नाही.
10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
१०पाहा! मी तुला गाळून पाहिले आहे, पण चांदी सारखे नाही, मी तुला संकटाच्या भट्टीत शुध्द केले आहे.
11 For mine own sake, [even] for mine own sake, will I do [it: ] for how should [my name] be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.
११माझ्यासाठी, माझ्यासाठीच, मी हे करेन, कारण मी माझ्या नावाचा अनादर कसा होऊ देऊ? मी माझे वैभव दुसऱ्याला देणार नाही.
12 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I [am] he; I [am] the first, I also [am] the last.
१२याकोबा, माझे ऐक, आणि इस्राएला, ज्याला मी बोलाविले आहे, माझे ऐक. मी तोच आहे, मी पहिला आहे, शेवटलाही मी आहे.
13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: [when] I call unto them, they stand up together.
१३होय, माझ्याच हाताने पृथ्वीचे पाये घातले, आणि माझ्या उजव्या हाताने स्वर्गे पसरली, जेव्हा मी त्यांना हाक मारतो तेव्हा ते एकत्र उभे राहतात
14 All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these [things]? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm [shall be on] the Chaldeans.
१४तुम्ही सर्व एकत्र या आणि माझे ऐका. ज्या कोणी तुमच्या मध्ये कोणी या गोष्टी सांगितल्या? परमेश्वराची सहमती, त्याचा बाबेलविरूद्ध असणारा हेतू साध्य करीन. तो खास्द्यांविरूद्ध परमेश्वराच्या इच्छेप्रमाणे करीन.
15 I, [even] I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.
१५मी, मी बोललो आहे, होय, मी त्यास बोलाविले आहे, मी त्यास आणले आहे आणि तो यशस्वी होईल.
16 Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there [am] I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me.
१६माझ्या जवळ या आणि हे ऐका; प्रारंभापासून मी गुप्तात बोललो नाही, जेव्हा हे घडले, तेव्हा मी तीथे आहे. आणि आता परमेश्वर देवाने आणि त्याच्या आत्म्या ने मला पाठवले आहे.
17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I [am] the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way [that] thou shouldest go.
१७जो तुझा खंडून घेणारा, इस्राएलचा पवित्र परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, मी परमेश्वर तुझा देव, जो तुम्हास यशस्वी होण्यासाठी शिकवतो, ज्या मार्गात तू चालावे त्यामध्ये जो तुला चालवतो.
18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
१८जर तू फक्त माझ्या आज्ञा पाळल्या असत्या तर किती बरे झाले असते! तेव्हा भरून वाहणाऱ्या नदीप्रमाणे तुझी शांती असती आणि समुद्राच्या लाटांप्रमाणे तुझे तारण असते.
19 Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.
१९तुझे वंशज वाळूच्या प्रमाणे आणि तुझ्या पोटची मुले तिच्या कणांप्रमाणे झाले असते. आणि तुमचे नाव माझ्यासमोर काढून टाकले गेले नसते अथवा नष्ट केले गेले नसते.
20 Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it [even] to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
२०माझ्या लोकांनो, बाबेल सोडा, खास्दयापांसून पळा, गायनाच्या शब्दाने तुम्ही हे कळवा, तुम्ही हे सांगा, पृथ्वीच्या अंता पर्यंत गाजवून बोला. सांगा, परमेश्वराने त्याचा सेवक याकोब याला खंडूण घेतले आहे.
21 And they thirsted not [when] he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
२१तो त्यांचे वाळवंटांतून मार्गदर्शन करत असता, त्यांना तहान लागली नाही, त्याने खडकातून त्यांच्यासाठी पाणी वाहायला लावले, आणि त्याने खडक फोडला आणि पाणी बाहेर वाहू लागले.
22 [There is] no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.
२२पण परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “पाप्यांस शांती नाही.”
