Isaiah 47
1 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: [there is] no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
௧பாபிலோனின் கன்னிப்பெண்ணாகிய மகளே, நீ இறங்கி மண்ணிலே உட்காரு; கல்தேயரின் மகளே, தரையிலே உட்காரு; உனக்குச் சிங்காசனமில்லை; நீ கர்வமுள்ளவள் என்றும் சுகசெல்வி என்றும் இனி அழைக்கப்படுவதில்லை.
2 Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.
௨இயந்திரத்தை எடுத்து மாவரை; உன் முக்காட்டை நீக்கிவிடு; வெறுங்காலும் நிர்வாணத்தொடையுமாக ஆறுகளைக் கடந்துபோ.
3 Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet [thee as] a man.
௩உன் நிர்வாணம் வெளிப்படும்; உன் அவமானம் காணப்படும்; நான் ஒருவனையும் பாராமல் நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டுவேன்.
4 [As for] our redeemer, the LORD of hosts [is] his name, the Holy One of Israel.
௪எங்கள் மீட்பருடைய நாமம் இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தராகிய சேனைகளுடைய யெகோவா என்பது.
5 Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.
௫கல்தேயரின் மகளே, நீ அந்தகாரத்திற்குள் பிரவேசித்து மவுனமாக உட்காரு; இனி நீ ராஜ்யங்களின் நாயகியென்று அழைக்கப்படுவதில்லை.
6 I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.
௬நான் என் மக்களின்மேல் கடுங்கோபமடைந்து, என் சொந்தமானதைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்கி, அவர்களை உன் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தேன்; நீ அவர்கள்மேல் இரக்கம்வைக்காமல், முதிர்வயதுள்ளவர்களின்மேல் உன் நுகத்தை மகா பாரமாக்கி,
7 And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: [so] that thou didst not lay these [things] to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.
௭என்றென்றைக்கும் நாயகியாயிருப்பேனென்று சொல்லி, இந்தக் காரியங்களை இதுவரைக்கும் உன் மனதிலே வைக்காமலும், அதின் முடிவை நினைக்காமலும்போனாய்.
8 Therefore hear now this, [thou that art] given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I [am], and none else beside me; I shall not sit [as] a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
௮இப்பொழுதும் சுகசெல்வியே, கவலையில்லாமல் வாழ்கிறவளே: நான்தான், என்னைத்தவிர ஒருவருமில்லை; நான் விதவையாவதில்லை, நான் சந்ததி சேதத்தை அறிவதில்லையென்று உன் இருதயத்திலே சொல்கிறவளே, நான் சொல்கிறதைக் கேள்.
9 But these two [things] shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, [and] for the great abundance of thine enchantments.
௯சந்ததி சேதமும் விதவையிருப்பும் ஆகிய இவ்விரண்டும் உனக்குச் சடிதியாக ஒரே நாளில் வரும்; உன் திரளான சூனியங்களினிமித்தமும், உன் வெகுவான மந்திரவித்தைகளினிமித்தமும் அவைகள் பூரணமாக உன்மேல் வரும்.
10 For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I [am], and none else beside me.
௧0உன் துன்மார்க்கத்திலே நீ திடநம்பிக்கையாயிருந்து: என்னைப் பார்க்கிறவர் ஒருவரும் இல்லையென்றாய். உன் ஞானமும் உன் அறிவுமே உன்னைக் கெடுத்தது; நான்தான், என்னைத் தவிர ஒருவருமில்லையென்று உன் இருதயத்தில் எண்ணினாய்.
11 Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, [which] thou shalt not know.
௧௧ஆகையால் தீங்கு உன்மேல் வரும், அது எங்கேயிருந்து உதித்ததென்று உனக்குத் தெரியாது; உனக்குத் துன்பம் வரும், நீ அதை நிவிர்த்தியாக்கமாட்டாய்; நீ அறியாதபடிக்கு உடனடியாக உண்டாகும் அழிவு உன்மேல் வரும்.
12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.
௧௨நீ உன் சிறுவயதுமுதல் பிரயாசப்பட்டுப் பழகிவருகிற உன் மாயவித்தைகளையும், உன் திரளான சூனியங்களையும் நீ பயன்படுத்து; அவைகளால் உனக்குப் பயனோ, பலனோ உண்டாகுமா என்று பார்ப்போம்.
13 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from [these things] that shall come upon thee.
௧௩உன் திரளான யோசனைகளினால் நீ இளைத்துப்போனாய்; இப்பொழுதும் சோதிடர்களும், நட்சத்திரம் பார்க்கிறவர்களும், அமாவாசி கணிக்கிறவர்களும் எழும்பி, உனக்கு நேரிடுகிறவைகளுக்கு உன்னைத் தப்புவித்துக் காப்பாற்றட்டும்.
14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: [there shall] not [be] a coal to warm at, [nor] fire to sit before it.
௧௪இதோ, அவர்கள் பதரைப்போல் இருப்பார்கள், நெருப்பு அவர்களைச் சுட்டெரிக்கும்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் உயிரை நெருப்புத்தழலினின்று விடுவிப்பதில்லை; அது குளிர்காயத்தக்க தழலுமல்ல; எதிரே உட்காரத்தக்க அடுப்புமல்ல.
15 Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, [even] thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.
௧௫உன் சிறுவயதுமுதல் நீ பிரயாசப்பட்டு எவர்களுடன் வியாபாரம்செய்தாயோ, அவர்களும் அப்படியே இருப்பார்கள்; அவரவர் தங்கள் போக்கிலே போய் அலைவார்கள்; உன்னை காப்பாற்றுவார் இல்லை.
