< Isaiah 38 >

1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
To na niah Hezekiah loe duek duih khoek to ngannat. To pongah Amoz capa tahmaa Isaiah loe anih khaeah caeh moe, Angraeng mah hae tiah thuih; Na hing mak ai, na duek han oh boeh pongah, na imthung takoh to kahoih ah raemh ah, tiah a naa.
2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD,
Hezekiah loe tapang bangah anghae moe, Angraeng khaeah lawkthuih,
3 And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done [that which is] good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
Aw Angraeng, na hmaa ah kawbangmaw loktang hoi coek koi kaom ai palungthin hoiah kho ka sak moe, na mik hnukah kahoih hmuen ka sak, tito tahmenhaih hoi na panoek pae rae ah, tiah lawk a thuih. Hezekiah loe palungset moe qah.
4 Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,
To naah Angraeng ih lok Isaiah khaeah angzoh,
5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
Caeh ah loe Hezekiah khaeah hae tiah thui paeh; nam pa David ih Sithaw mah, Na lawkthuihaih lok to ka thaih boeh, na mikkhraetui doeh ka hnuk boeh; khenah, na hinghaih saning hatlai pangato kang thap pae han, tiah thuih, tiah thui paeh, tiah a naa.
6 And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.
Nangmah hoi hae vangpui hae Assyria siangpahrang ban thung hoiah kang pahlong han; hae vangpui hae ka pakaa han.
7 And this [shall be] a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;

8 Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
khenah, Ahaz nuiah caeh tathuk tangcae ni tahlip to khok tangkan haato hnukbangah kam laemsak let han, tiah a naa. To pongah kalaem tangcae ni tahlip to khok tangkan haato hnukbangah amlaem let.
9 The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness:
Judah siangpahrang Hezekiah loe ngannat, toe ngan a tui let pacoengah anih mah tarik ih ca loe,
10 I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years. (Sheol h7585)
ka hinghaih khosak hoih li naah, duekhaih khongkha ah ka caeh han boeh, kanghmat ka hinghaih saningnawk doeh ka pongsak sut han boeh mue, tiah ka poek. (Sheol h7585)
11 I said, I shall not see the LORD, [even] the LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
Kahing kaminawk ih prae ah, Angraeng to ka hnu let mak ai boeh; long nuiah kaom kaminawk doeh ka hnu let mak ai boeh, tiah ka poek.
12 Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd’s tent: I have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day [even] to night wilt thou make an end of me.
Phraek ih tuutoep kaminawk ih im baktiah ka im loe krak rup boeh, anih mah kai khae hoiah ang lak pae ving boeh; kahni sah kami mah kahni pakhraep baktih toengah ka hinghaih pakhraek ah oh, ka hinghaih qui loe apet ving boeh; aqum ah maw, athun ah maw, nito thungah ka hinghaih na boengsak tih boeh, tiah ka poek.
13 I reckoned till morning, [that], as a lion, so will he break all my bones: from day [even] to night wilt thou make an end of me.
Akhawnbang khodai khoek to palungsawkhaih hoiah ka zing, toe kaipui baktiah ka huhnawk to ang khaeh pae; aqum ah maw, athun ah maw, nito thungah ka hinghaih na boengsak tih boeh, tiah ka poek.
14 Like a crane [or] a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail [with looking] upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me.
Kai loe pungpae baktih, tangpra baktiah ka hang moe, pahu baktiah ka oi khing; van bangah ka khet loiah ka mik thazok sut boeh; Aw Angraeng, raihaih ka tong boeh, kai abom hanah angzo rae ah.
15 What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done [it: ] I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.
Toe kawbangmaw ka thuih han? Anih mah kai khaeah lok ang thuih, a thuih ih lok baktiah angmah a sak boeh; ka hinghaih patangkhang boeh pongah, ka hing thung poeknaemhaih hoiah ka caeh han.
16 O Lord, by these [things men] live, and in all these [things is] the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.
Angraeng, kaminawk loe to tiah ni hing o; to baktih hmuennawk boih ah ka muithla hinghaih to oh; ngan na tuisak ah loe, na hingsak let ah.
17 Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul [delivered it] from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
Khenah, ngantui han ih ni patang ka khang; ka hinghaih nang tahmen pongah, amrohaih tangqom thung hoiah nang loisak boeh; ka zaehaihnawk boih ka hnukbangah nang vah pae king boeh.
18 For the grave cannot praise thee, death can [not] celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. (Sheol h7585)
Taprong mah nang to pakoeh thai mak ai, kadueh mah doeh nang pakoehhaih laasah thai mak ai; tangqom thungah caeh tathuk kami mah na loktang lok to oep thai mak ai. (Sheol h7585)
19 The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I [do] this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
Kahing kami, kahing kaminawk mah ni, vaihniah ka sak ih baktih toengah nang to pakoeh thai ueloe, ampanawk mah a caanawk khaeah loktang na lok to panoek o sak thai tih.
20 The LORD [was ready] to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.
Angraeng mah na pahlong tih, to pongah ka hing thung Angraeng ih im thungah aqui kapop katoeng kruek hoiah laa ka sak o han.
21 For Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay [it] for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.
Isaiah mah, Thaiduet thaih to laa nasoe loe, naep pacoengah ahmaa nuiah bet nahaeloe ngantui tih, tiah a naa.
22 Hezekiah also had said, What [is] the sign that I shall go up to the house of the LORD?
Hezekiah mah, Angraeng ih im ah ka caeh tahang han pongah, tih angmathaih maw om tih? tiah a dueng.
