Isaiah 32
1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
Reinará un rey con justicia, y príncipes gobernarán con rectitud.
2 And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
Cada uno será como abrigo contra el viento, como refugio contra la tempestad, como río de agua en tierra árida, y como la sombra de una peña grande en un país desolado.
3 And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.
No se ofuscarán los ojos de los que ven, y escucharán los oídos de los que oyen.
4 The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
El corazón de los necios sabrá comprender, y la lengua de los tartamudos hablará expedita y claramente.
5 The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said [to be] bountiful.
El insensato no será más llamado príncipe, ni noble el impostor.
6 For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
Porque el insensato habla insensateces, y su corazón obra maldad, practicando la impiedad y diciendo mentiras a Yahvé, dejando vacía el alma del hambriento y quitando la bebida al sediento.
7 The instruments also of the churl [are] evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.
El impostor tiene armas malignas y urde intrigas, para perder a los humildes con palabras dolosas, mientras el pobre habla lo justo.
8 But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.
El príncipe piensa cosas de príncipe y por su nobleza será ensalzado.
9 Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.
Mujeres cómodas, levantaos, oíd mi voz; hijas que vivís sin cuidados, escuchad mi palabra.
10 Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.
Dentro de un año y pocos días temblaréis, oh confiadas, porque se ha acabado la vendimia, y no habrá más cosecha.
11 Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird [sackcloth] upon [your] loins.
Temblad, oh cómodas, pasmaos las que vivís despreocupadas; despojaos, desnudaos; ceñíos de cilicio.
12 They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.
(Golpeándose) los pechos andan llorando por los campos amados, por las viñas fructíferas.
13 Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns [and] briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy [in] the joyous city:
Espinas y abrojos cubren la tierra de mi pueblo y todas las casas de placer de la ciudad alegre.
14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;
Pues el palacio está abandonado, la ciudad populosa es un desierto, el Ofel y la fortaleza son madrigueras para siempre, delicias para asnos monteses, pastos para rebaños,
15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
hasta que sea derramado sobre nosotros el Espíritu de lo alto, el desierto se convierta en campo fértil, y el campo fértil sea reputado como selva.
16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
Entonces la rectitud morará en el desierto, y la justicia habitará en el campo fértil.
17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
La obra de la justicia será la paz, y el fruto de la justicia, la tranquilidad y la seguridad para siempre.
18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
Y mi pueblo habitará en mansión de paz, en habitación segura, en morada tranquila.
19 When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.
Pero caerá el bosque a causa del pedrisco, y la ciudad será enteramente abatida.
20 Blessed [are] ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth [thither] the feet of the ox and the ass.
¡Bienaventurados vosotros, los que sembráis junto a todas las aguas, y dais libertad al pie del buey y del asno!
