Isaiah 1
1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, [and] Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
౧యూదా రాజులైన ఉజ్జియా, యోతాము, ఆహాజు, హిజ్కియా పాలించే రోజుల్లో యూదా గురించీ, యెరూషలేము గురించీ ఆమోజు కొడుకు యెషయాకు కలిగిన దర్శనం.
2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
౨ఆకాశమా, విను. భూమీ, ఆలకించు. యెహోవా నాతో ఇలా మాట్లాడాడు. “నేను పిల్లలను పెంచి పోషించాను. వాళ్ళు నా మీద తిరుగుబాటు చేశారు.
3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: [but] Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
౩ఎద్దుకు తన యజమాని తెలుసు. తన మేత తొట్టి గాడిదకు తెలుసు. కాని, ఇశ్రాయేలుకు తెలియదు. ఇశ్రాయేలుకు అర్థం కాదు.”
4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
౪ఓ పాపిష్టి జాతీ, దోషం కింద మగ్గిపోతున్న జనమా, దుష్టుల సంతానమా, అవినీతి చేసే పిల్లలారా మీకు బాధ. వాళ్ళు యెహోవాను విడిచిపెట్టారు. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పవిత్ర దేవుణ్ణి అలక్ష్యం చేశారు. ఆయనతో తెగతెంపులు చేసుకున్నారు.
5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
౫మీకు ఇంకా దెబ్బలు ఎందుకు తగులుతున్నాయి? మీరు ఇంకా ఎందుకు తిరుగుబాటు చేస్తున్నారు? మీ తల అంతా గాయమే. మీ గుండె నిండా బలహీనతే.
6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head [there is] no soundness in it; [but] wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
౬అరి కాలు నుంచి తల వరకు పుండు పడని భాగం లేదు. ఎక్కడ చూసినా గాయాలు, దెబ్బలు, మానని పుళ్ళు. అవి నయం కాలేదు. వాటిని ఎవరూ కడగలేదు, కట్టు కట్టలేదు, నూనెతో చికిత్స చెయ్యలేదు.
7 Your country [is] desolate, your cities [are] burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and [it is] desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
౭మీ దేశం పాడైపోయింది. మీ పట్టణాలు మంటల్లో కాలిపోయాయి. మీ కళ్ళముందే పరాయివారు మీ పంటలు దోచుకుంటున్నారు. తమ కంట పడినవన్నీ నాశనం చేస్తున్నారు.
8 And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
౮సీయోను కుమార్తె ద్రాక్షతోటలో ఒక గుడిసెలాగా, దోసపాదుల్లో ఒక పాకలాగా, ముట్టడి వేసిన పట్టణంలాగా మిగిలిపోయింది.
9 Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, [and] we should have been like unto Gomorrah.
౯జాతులకు ప్రభువైన యెహోవా కొంత శేషం మన కోసం ఉంచకపోతే, మనం సొదొమలాగా ఉండేవాళ్ళం. మనం గొమొర్రాతో సమానంగా ఉండేవాళ్ళం.
10 Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
౧౦సొదొమ పాలకులారా, యెహోవా మాట వినండి. గొమొర్రా ప్రజలారా, మన దేవుని ధర్మశాస్త్రం ఆలకించండి.
11 To what purpose [is] the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
౧౧“యెహోవా ఇలా అంటున్నాడు. విస్తారమైన మీ బలులు నాకెందుకు?” “దహనబలులుగా అర్పించిన పాట్టేళ్లు, బలిసిన దూడల కొవ్వు నాకు వెగటు పుట్టించాయి. దున్నపోతుల రక్తం, గొర్రె పిల్లల రక్తం, మేకపోతుల రక్తం అంటే నాకు ఇష్టం లేదు.
12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
౧౨మీరు నా సన్నిధిలో నన్ను కలుసుకోడానికి వస్తున్నప్పుడు, నా ప్రాంగణాలు తొక్కమని మిమ్మల్ని ఎవరడిగారు?
13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; [it is] iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
౧౩అర్థం లేని అర్పణలు మీరు ఇక తీసుకు రావొద్దు. ధూపార్పణ నాకు అసహ్యం. అమావాస్య, విశ్రాంతి దినాలు, సమాజ కూటాలు జరుగుతున్నాయి కాని, మీ దుర్మార్గ సమావేశాలు నేను సహించలేను.
14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear [them].
౧౪మీ అమావాస్య ఉత్సవాలు, నియామక ఉత్సవాలు నాకు అసహ్యం. అవి నాకు బాధాకరం. వాటిని సహించలేక విసిగిపోయాను.
15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
౧౫మీరు మీ చేతులు ప్రార్థనలో చాపినప్పుడు మిమ్మల్ని చూడకుండా నా కళ్ళు కప్పేసుకుంటాను. మీరు ఎంత ప్రార్థన చేసినా నేను వినను. మీ చేతులు రక్తంతో నిండి ఉన్నాయి.
16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
౧౬మిమ్మల్ని కడుగుకోండి. శుద్ధి చేసుకోండి. మీ దుష్టక్రియలు నాకు కనిపించకుండా వాటిని తీసివేయండి. మీ దుష్టత్వం మానండి.”
17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
౧౭మంచి చెయ్యడం నేర్చుకోండి. న్యాయం కోరుకోండి. పీడిత ప్రజలకు సాయం చెయ్యండి. తండ్రిలేని వారికి న్యాయం చెయ్యండి. వితంతువు పక్షాన నిలబడండి.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
౧౮యెహోవా ఇలా అంటున్నాడు. “రండి మనం కలిసి ఒక నిర్ణయానికి వద్దాం.” “మీ పాపాలు రక్తంలా ఎర్రగా ఉన్నా, అవి మంచులా తెల్లగా అవుతాయి. కెంపులా ఎర్రగా ఉన్నా, అవి గొర్రెబొచ్చులా తెల్లగా ఔతాయి.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
౧౯మీరు ఇష్టపడి నాకు లోబడితే, మీరు ఈ దేశం అందించే మంచి పదార్ధాలు అనుభవిస్తారు.
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it].
౨౦తిరస్కరించి తిరుగుబాటు చేస్తే, కత్తి మిమ్మల్ని నాశనం చేస్తుంది.” యెహోవా నోరు ఈ మాట పలికింది.
21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
౨౧నమ్మదగిన ఈ పట్టణం ఒక వేశ్యలా ఎలా మారింది! అది న్యాయంతో నిండి ఉండేది. నీతి దానిలో నివాసం ఉండేది. ఇప్పుడైతే దాని నిండా నరహంతకులు నివాసం ఉంటున్నారు.
22 Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:
౨౨నీ వెండి మలినమైపోయింది. నీ ద్రాక్షారసం నీళ్లతో పలచబడి పోయింది.
23 Thy princes [are] rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.
౨౩నీ అధికారులు ద్రోహులు. వాళ్ళు దొంగలతో సావాసం చేస్తారు. అందరూ లంచం ఆశిస్తారు. చెల్లింపుల వెంటబడతారు. తండ్రి లేని వాళ్ళ పక్షంగా ఉండరు. వితంతువుల న్యాయమైన అభ్యర్ధన వాళ్ళు పట్టించుకోరు.
24 Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:
౨౪కాబట్టి ప్రభువూ, ఇశ్రాయేలు బలిష్టుడూ, సైన్యాల అధిపతీ అయిన యెహోవా ఇలా ప్రకటిస్తున్నాడు. “వాళ్లకు బాధ! నా విరోధులపై నేను ప్రతీకారం తీర్చుకుంటాను. నా శత్రువుల మీద నేను పగ తీర్చుకుంటాను.
25 And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
౨౫నీకు వ్యతిరేకంగా నా చెయ్యి తిప్పుతాను. నీలో ఉన్న చెత్తను శుద్ధిచేసి, నీ కల్మషం అంతా తీసేస్తాను.
26 And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
౨౬మొదట్లో ఉన్నట్టు న్యాయాధిపతులను మళ్ళీ నీకు ఇస్తాను. ఆరంభంలో ఉన్నట్టు నీకు సలహాదారులను మళ్ళీ నియమిస్తాను. అప్పుడు నీతిగల పట్టణం అనీ, నమ్మదగిన నగరమనీ నీకు పేరొస్తుంది.”
27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
౨౭సీయోనుకు న్యాయాన్ని బట్టీ, తిరిగి వచ్చిన దాని నివాసులకు నీతిని బట్టీ విమోచన కలుగుతుంది.
28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners [shall be] together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
౨౮అతిక్రమం చేసేవాళ్ళూ, పాపులూ కలిసి ఏకంగా నాశనమౌతారు. యెహోవాను విడిచి పెట్టేసిన వాళ్ళు లయమౌతారు.
29 For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
౨౯“మీరు కోరుకున్న సింధూర వృక్షాలను బట్టి మీరు సిగ్గుపడతారు. మీరు ఎంపిక చేసుకున్న తోటలను బట్టి మీరు అవమానం పాలవుతారు.
30 For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.
౩౦మీరు ఆకులు వాడిపోయే సింధూరవృక్షంలాగా, నీళ్ళు లేని తోటల్లాగా అయిపోతారు.
31 And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench [them].
౩౧బలవంతుడు సుళువుగా నిప్పు రాజుకునే నార పీచులా ఉంటాడు. అతని పని నిప్పు రవ్వలా ఉంటుంది. రెండూ కలిసి కాలిపోతాయి. ఆర్పే వాళ్ళు ఎవరూ ఉండరు.”
