Hebrews 3
1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
Por esta razón, hermanos santos, llamados por Dios para tener una parte en el cielo, piensen en Jesús, el representante y sumo sacerdote de nuestra fe;
2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses [was faithful] in all his house.
El que fue fiel a Dios, que le dio su lugar, como lo hizo Moisés en toda su casa.
3 For this [man] was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
Y era correcto que este hombre tuviera más honor que Moisés, así como el que construye una casa tiene más honor que la casa.
4 For every house is builded by some [man]; but he that built all things [is] God.
Porque cada casa tiene un constructor; pero el constructor de todas las cosas es Dios.
5 And Moses verily [was] faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
Y ciertamente Moisés guardó la fe como siervo en toda su casa, y como testigo de lo que se iba a decir más tarde;
6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Pero Cristo como un hijo, sobre esta casa de Dios que somos nosotros, si mantenemos nuestros corazones fijos en la esperanza alegre y cierta hasta el final.
7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
Y así, como dice el Espíritu Santo: Hoy, si permites que su voz venga a tus oídos,
8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
No seas duro de corazón, como cuando me hiciste enojar, en el día de la prueba en el desierto,
9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
Cuando tus padres me pusieron a prueba, y vieron mis obras durante cuarenta años.
10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in [their] heart; and they have not known my ways.
Y causaron que me enojara con esta generación, y dije: En todo momento están extraviados en sus corazones, y no han querido conocer mis caminos;
11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
Y enojado, hice un juramento, diciendo: No pueden venir a mi reposo.
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Hermanos míos, tengan cuidado de que no haya en ninguno de ustedes, por casualidad, un corazón malvado sin fe, apartándose del Dios viviente:
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Pero den consuelo unos a otros todos los días mientras permanezca el día de hoy; para que ninguno de ustedes se endurezca por el engaño del pecado;
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Porque si guardamos la fe que teníamos al principio, aun hasta el fin, tenemos parte con Cristo;
15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Como se dice: Hoy, si permites que su voz llegue a tus oídos, no seas duro de corazón, como cuando lo hiciste enojar.
16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
¿Quiénes lo provocaron después de haber oído su voz? ¿No fueron todos los que salieron de Egipto con Moisés?
17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? [was it] not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
¿Y con quién estuvo enojado durante cuarenta años? ¿No fue con los que hicieron el mal, que murieron en el desierto?
18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
¿Y a quiénes juró que no vendrían al lugar de reposo? ¿No fue a los que fueron en contra de sus órdenes?
19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Entonces vemos que no pudieron entrar porque no creyeron.
