Genesis 8
1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that [was] with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;
És megemlékezett Isten Nóéról és minden vadról és minden baromról, mely vele volt a bárkában; és bocsátott Isten szelet a földre és lecsillapodtak a vizek.
2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;
Bezáródtak a mélység forrásai, meg az ég csatornái, és megszűnt az eső az égből.
3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.
És visszahúzódtak a vizek a földről, folyton vissza és megfogytak a vizek százötven nap múltán.
4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
És megnyugodott a bárka a hetedik hónapban, tizenhetedik napján a hónapnak, az Árárát hegységén.
5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth [month], on the first [day] of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.
A vizek pedig folyton fogytak a tizedik hónapig; a tizedik hónapban, a hónapnak elsején meglátszottak a hegyek csúcsai.
6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:
És volt negyven nap múlva, kinyitotta Nóé a bárka ablakát, melyet csinált,
7 And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
és kibocsátotta a hollót; ez ki-kiment, de meg visszatért, míg föl nem száradt a víz a földről.
8 Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;
És kibocsátotta a galambot maga mellől, hogy lássa, vajon leapadtak-e a vizek a föld színéről?
9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters [were] on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.
De a galamb nem talált nyugvóhelyet lába talpa, számára és visszatért őhozzá a bárkába, mert víz volt az egész föld színén; és ő kinyújtotta kezét és megfogta, bevitte magához a bárkába.
10 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;
És várt még másik hét napig és újra kibocsátotta a galambot a bárkából.
11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth [was] an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
És megjött hozzá a galamb estnek idején és íme: leszakasztott olajfalevél a szájában. Így megtudta Nóé, hogy leapadtak a vizek a földön.
12 And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.
És várt még másik hét napig és kibocsátotta a galambot, de az nem tért többé őhozzá vissza.
13 And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first [month], the first [day] of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.
És volt a hatszázegyedik évben, az első hónapban, a hónapnak elsején fölszáradtak a vizek a földről; és Nóé eltávolította a bárka fedelét és látta, hogy íme megszikkadt a föld színe.
14 And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.
A második hónapban pedig, a hónap huszonhetedik napján száraz volt a föld.
15 And God spake unto Noah, saying,
És szólt Isten Nóéhoz, mondván:
16 Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons’ wives with thee.
Menj ki a bárkából, te, a te feleséged, a te fiaid és a te fiaid feleségei veled együtt.
17 Bring forth with thee every living thing that [is] with thee, of all flesh, [both] of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.
Minden állatot, mely veled van minden testből madárból, baromból és minden csúszó-mászóból, mely mozog a földön, vigyél ki magaddal, hogy nyüzsögjenek a földön, szaporodjanak és sokasodjanak a földön.
18 And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him:
És kiment Nóé, meg az ő fiai és az ő felesége, meg a fiainak feleségei vele együtt.
19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, [and] whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.
Minden állat, minden csúszó-mászó és minden madár, minden, ami mozog a földön, családjaik szerint mentek ki a bárkából.
20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
Nóé pedig épített oltárt az Örökkévalónak és vett minden tiszta baromból és minden tiszta madárból és bemutatott égőáldozatokat az oltáron.
21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart [is] evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
És megérezte az Örökkévaló a kellemes illatot és mondta az Örökkévaló a szívében: Nem fogom többé elátkozni a földet az ember miatt, – mert az ember szívének indulata gonosz ifjúságától kezdve – és nem fogok többé megverni minden élőt, amint cselekedtem.
22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
A föld minden napján át: Vetés és aratás, hideg és hőség, nyár és tél, nappal és éjjel meg nem szűnnek.
A Dove is Sent Forth from the Ark
