Genesis 49
1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you [that] which shall befall you in the last days.
൧അനന്തരം യാക്കോബ് തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ വിളിച്ച് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞത്: “കൂടിവരുവിൻ, ഭാവികാലത്തു നിങ്ങൾക്ക് സംഭവിക്കാനുള്ളത് ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അറിയിക്കും.
2 Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.
൨യാക്കോബിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരേ: കൂടിവന്നു കേൾക്കുവിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പനായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മൊഴിക്കു ചെവിതരുവിൻ!
3 Reuben, thou [art] my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
൩രൂബേനേ, നീ എന്റെ ആദ്യജാതൻ, എന്റെ വീര്യവും എന്റെ ശക്തിയുടെ ആദ്യഫലവും ശ്രേഷ്ഠതയുടെ വൈശിഷ്ട്യവും ബലത്തിന്റെ വൈശിഷ്ട്യവും തന്നെ.
4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou [it: ] he went up to my couch.
൪വെള്ളംപോലെ തുളുമ്പുന്നവനേ, നീ ശ്രേഷ്ഠനാകുകയില്ല; നീ അപ്പന്റെ കിടക്കമേൽ കയറി അതിനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി; എന്റെ ശയ്യമേൽ അവൻ കയറിയല്ലോ.
5 Simeon and Levi [are] brethren; instruments of cruelty [are in] their habitations.
൫ശിമെയോനും ലേവിയും സഹോദരന്മാർ; അവരുടെ വാളുകൾ സാഹസത്തിന്റെ ആയുധങ്ങൾ.
6 O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall.
൬എൻ ഉള്ളമേ, അവരുടെ ഗൂഢാലോചനകളിൽ കൂടരുതേ; എൻ മനമേ, അവരുടെ യോഗത്തിൽ ചേരരുതേ; അവരുടെ കോപത്തിൽ അവർ പുരുഷന്മാരെ കൊന്നു; അവരുടെ ശാഠ്യത്തിൽ അവർ കാളകളുടെ വരിയുടച്ചു.
7 Cursed [be] their anger, for [it was] fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
൭അവരുടെ ഉഗ്രകോപവും കഠിനക്രോധവും ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്; ഞാൻ അവരെ യാക്കോബിൽ വിഭജിക്കുകയും യിസ്രായേലിൽ ചിതറിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
8 Judah, thou [art he] whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand [shall be] in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee.
൮യെഹൂദയേ, സഹോദരന്മാർ നിന്നെ പുകഴ്ത്തും; നിന്റെ കൈ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കഴുത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കും; അപ്പന്റെ മക്കൾ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നമസ്കരിക്കും.
9 Judah [is] a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
൯യെഹൂദാ ഒരു വലിയസിംഹം; മകനേ, നീ ഇരപിടിച്ചു കയറിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ കുനിഞ്ഞു, സിംഹംപോലെയും സിംഹിപോലെയും പതുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്നു; ആർ അവനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him [shall] the gathering of the people [be].
൧൦ശീലോഹ് വരുവോളം ചെങ്കോൽ യെഹൂദയിൽനിന്നും രാജദണ്ഡ് അവന്റെ കാലുകളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നും നീങ്ങിപ്പോകയില്ല; ജനതകളുടെ അനുസരണം അവനോട് ആകും.
11 Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:
൧൧അവൻ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയോടു ചെറുകഴുതയെയും വിശിഷ്ടമുന്തിരിവള്ളിയോടു കഴുതക്കുട്ടിയെയും കെട്ടുന്നു; അവൻ വീഞ്ഞിൽ തന്റെ ഉടുപ്പും മുന്തിരിച്ചാറിൽ തന്റെ വസ്ത്രവും അലക്കുന്നു.
12 His eyes [shall be] red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.
൧൨അവന്റെ കണ്ണ് വീഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു ചുവന്നും അവന്റെ പല്ല് പാലുകൊണ്ടു വെളുത്തും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
13 Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he [shall be] for an haven of ships; and his border [shall be] unto Zidon.
൧൩സെബൂലൂൻ സമുദ്രതീരത്തു വസിക്കും; അവൻ കപ്പലുകൾക്ക് ഒരു അഭയകേന്ദ്രമായിത്തീരും; അവന്റെ അതിർത്തി സീദോൻ വരെ ആകും.
14 Issachar [is] a strong ass couching down between two burdens:
൧൪യിസ്സാഖാർ കരുത്തുള്ള കഴുത; അവൻ തൊഴുത്തുകളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ കിടക്കുന്നു.
15 And he saw that rest [was] good, and the land that [it was] pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.
൧൫വിശ്രമസ്ഥലം നല്ലതെന്നും ദേശം ആനന്ദപ്രദമെന്നും കണ്ടു, അവൻ ഭാരം കയറ്റാൻ തോൾ കുനിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു നിർബന്ധവേലയ്ക്ക് അടിമയായിത്തീർന്നു.
16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
൧൬ദാൻ ഏതൊരു യിസ്രായേല്യഗോത്രവുംപോലെ സ്വജനത്തിനു ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്യും.
17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
൧൭ദാൻ വഴിയിൽ ഒരു പാമ്പും പാതയിൽ ഒരു സർപ്പവും ആകുന്നു; അവൻ കുതിരയുടെ കുതികാൽ കടിക്കും; പുറത്തു കയറിയവൻ മലർന്നു വീഴും.
18 I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.
൧൮യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ രക്ഷക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
19 Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.
൧൯ഗാദോ, കവർച്ചപ്പട അവനെ ഞെരുക്കും; എന്നാൽ അവൻ അവസാനം ജയംപ്രാപിക്കും.
20 Out of Asher his bread [shall be] fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.
൨൦ആശേരോ, അവന്റെ ആഹാരം പുഷ്ടിയുള്ളത്; അവൻ രാജകീയസ്വാദുഭോജനം നല്കും.
21 Naphtali [is] a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.
൨൧നഫ്താലി സ്വതന്ത്രയായി നടക്കുന്ന പേടമാൻ; അവൻ ലാവണ്യ വാക്കുകൾ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.
22 Joseph [is] a fruitful bough, [even] a fruitful bough by a well; [whose] branches run over the wall:
൨൨യോസേഫ് ഫലപ്രദമായോരു വൃക്ഷം, നീരുറവിനരികെ ഫലപ്രദമായോരു വൃക്ഷം തന്നെ; അതിന്റെ ശാഖകൾ മതിലിന്മേൽ പടരുന്നു.
23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot [at him], and hated him:
൨൩വില്ലാളികൾ അവനെ വിഷമിപ്പിച്ചു; അവർ എയ്തു, അവനോട് പൊരുതി.
24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty [God] of Jacob; (from thence [is] the shepherd, the stone of Israel: )
൨൪അവന്റെ വില്ല് ഉറപ്പോടെ നിന്നു; അവന്റെ ഭുജം യാക്കോബിൻ വല്ലഭന്റെ കയ്യാൽ ബലപ്പെട്ടു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പാറയായ ഇടയന്റെ നാമത്താൽ തന്നെ.
25 [Even] by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
൨൫നിന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവത്താൽ അവൻ നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും സർവ്വശക്തനാൽ തന്നെ അവൻ മീതെ ആകാശത്തിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളാലും താഴെ കിടക്കുന്ന ആഴത്തിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളാലും മുലയുടെയും ഗർഭത്തിന്റെയും അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളാലും നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.
26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
൨൬എൻ പിതാവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ എൻ പൂര്‍വ്വ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്കു മീതെ ശാശ്വതഗിരികളുടെ അറ്റത്തോളം പ്രബലപ്പെട്ടു. അവ യോസേഫിന്റെ തലയിലും തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരിൽ പ്രഭുവായവന്റെ നെറുകയിലും വരും.
27 Benjamin shall ravin [as] a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.
൨൭ബെന്യാമീൻ കടിച്ചുകീറുന്ന ചെന്നായ്; രാവിലേ അവൻ ഇരപിടിച്ചു വിഴുങ്ങും; വൈകുന്നേരത്ത് അവൻ കവർച്ച പങ്കിടും”.
28 All these [are] the twelve tribes of Israel: and this [is it] that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.
൨൮യിസ്രായേൽ ഗോത്രം പന്ത്രണ്ടും ഇവ ആകുന്നു; അവരുടെ പിതാവ് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞത് ഇതുതന്നെ; അവൻ അവരിൽ ഓരോ മകനും അവനവന് ഉചിതമായ അനുഗ്രഹം കൊടുത്ത് അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
29 And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that [is] in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
൨൯അവൻ അവരോട് ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞത്: “ഞാൻ എന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേരുമ്പോൾ ഹിത്യനായ എഫ്രോന്റെ നിലത്തിലെ ഗുഹയിൽ എന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ എന്നെ സംസ്കരിക്കണം.
30 In the cave that [is] in the field of Machpelah, which [is] before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace.
൩൦കനാൻദേശത്തു മമ്രേക്കു സമീപം, അബ്രാഹാം ഹിത്യനായ എഫ്രോനോടു നിലത്തോടുകൂടി ശ്മശാനഭൂമിയായി അവകാശം വാങ്ങിയ മക്പേലാ എന്ന നിലത്തിലെ ഗുഹയിൽ തന്നെ.
31 There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.
൩൧അവിടെ അവർ അബ്രാഹാമിനെയും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറായെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെയും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ റിബെക്കായെയും സംസ്കരിച്ചു; അവിടെ ഞാൻ ലേയായെയും സംസ്കരിച്ചു.
32 The purchase of the field and of the cave that [is] therein [was] from the children of Heth.
൩൨ആ നിലവും അതിലെ ഗുഹയും ഹിത്യരോടു വിലയ്ക്കു വാങ്ങിയതാകുന്നു”.
33 And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people.
൩൩യാക്കോബ് തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോട് ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു തീർന്നശേഷം അവൻ കാൽ കട്ടിലിന്മേൽ എടുത്തു വച്ചിട്ടു പ്രാണനെ വിട്ടു തന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേർന്നു.
