Ezekiel 21
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
E veio a mim a palavra do SENHOR, dizendo:
2 Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop [thy word] toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
Filho do homem, dirige teu rosto contra Jerusalém, pronuncia contra os santuários, e profetiza contra a terra de Israel;
3 And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I [am] against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
E dize à terra de Israel: Assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que eu [sou] contra ti, e tirarei minha espada de sua bainha, e exterminarei de ti o justo e o perverso.
4 Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:
E dado que exterminarei de ti ao justo e o perverso, por isso minha espada sairá de sua bainha contra todos, desde o sul até o norte.
5 That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more.
E todos saberão que eu, o SENHOR, tirei minha espada de sua bainha; ela nunca mais voltará.
6 Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of [thy] loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.
Porém tu, filho do homem, suspira com quebrantamento de lombos, e com amargura; suspira diante dos olhos deles.
7 And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak [as] water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.
E será que, quando te disserem: Por que tu suspiras? Então dirás: Por causa da notícia que vêm; e todo coração se dissolverá, todas as mãos se enfraquecerão, todo espírito se angustiará, e todos joelhos se desfarão em águas; eis que já vem, e ela se cumprirá, diz o Senhor DEUS
8 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
E veio a mim a palavra do SENHOR, dizendo:
9 Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished:
Filho do homem, profetiza, e dize: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Dize: A espada, a espada está afiada, e também polida;
10 It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, [as] every tree.
Para degolar matança está afiada, para reluzir como relâmpago está polida. Por acaso nos alegraremos? A vara de meu filho despreza toda árvore.
11 And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.
E ele a deu para polir, para usar dela com a mão; esta espada está afiada, e esta polida está, para a entregar na mão do matador.
12 Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it [shall be] upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon [thy] thigh.
Grita e uiva, ó filho do homem; porque esta será contra meu povo, será contra todos os príncipes de Israel. Entregues à de espada são os do meu povo; portanto bate na coxa.
13 Because [it is] a trial, and what if [the sword] contemn even the rod? it shall be no [more], saith the Lord GOD.
Pois tem que haver provação. E o que seria se a vara que despreza não mais existir? diz o Senhor DEUS.
14 Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite [thine] hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it [is] the sword of the great [men that are] slain, which entereth into their privy chambers.
Por isso tu, filho do homem, profetiza, e bate uma mão com outra; por que a espada se dobrará até a terceira vez, a espada dos que forem mortos; esta é espada da grande matança que os cercará,
15 I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that [their] heart may faint, and [their] ruins be multiplied: ah! [it is] made bright, [it is] wrapped up for the slaughter.
Para que os corações desmaiem, e os tropeços se multipliquem; eu pus a ponta da espada contra todas as suas portas. Ah! Ela feita foi para reluzir, e preparada está para degolar.
16 Go thee one way or other, [either] on the right hand, [or] on the left, whithersoever thy face [is] set.
[Ó espada], move-te; vira-te à direita, prepara-te, vira-te à esquerda, para onde quer que tua face te apontar.
17 I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the LORD have said [it].
E também eu baterei minhas mãos uma com a outra, e farei descansar minha ira. Eu, o SENHOR, falei.
18 The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,
E veio a mim a palavra de SENHOR, dizendo:
19 Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose [it] at the head of the way to the city.
E tu, filho do homem, propõe para ti dois caminhos por onde venha a espada do rei da Babilônia; ambos procederão de uma mesma terra; e põe um marco num lugar, põe um marco no começo do caminho da cidade.
20 Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced.
Propõe um caminho, por onde venha a espada contra Rabá dos filhos de Amom, e contra Judá, contra a fortificada Jerusalém.
21 For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made [his] arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver.
Porque o rei de Babilônia parará em uma encruzilhada, no começo de dois caminhos, para usar de adivinhação; ele sacudiu flechas, consultou ídolos, olhou o fígado.
22 At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint [battering] rams against the gates, to cast a mount, [and] to build a fort.
A adivinhação será para a direita, sobre Jerusalém, para ordenar capitães, para abrir a boca à matança, para levantar a voz em grito, para pôr aríetes contra as portas, para levantar cercos, e edificar fortificações.
23 And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.
E isto será como uma adivinhação falsa aos olhos daqueles que com juramentos firmaram compromisso com eles; porém ele se lembrará da maldade, para que sejam presos.
24 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, [I say], that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.
Portanto, assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Dado que fizestes relembrar vossas maldades, manifestando vossas rebeliões, e revelando vossos pecados em todas vossos atos; por teres feito relembrar, sereis presos com a mão.
25 And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity [shall have] an end,
E tu, profano e perverso príncipe de Israel, cujo dia do tempo do fim da maldade virá,
26 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this [shall] not [be] the same: exalt [him that is] low, and abase [him that is] high.
Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Tira o turbante, tira a coroa; esta não será a mesma; ao humilde exaltarei, e ao exaltado humilharei.
27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no [more], until he come whose right it is; and I will give it [him].
Ruína! Ruína! Ruína a farei; e ela não será [restaurada], até que venha aquele a quem lhe pertence por direito, e [a ele] a darei.
28 And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword [is] drawn: for the slaughter [it is] furbished, to consume because of the glittering:
E tu, filho do homem, profetiza, e dize: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS sobre os filhos de Amom, e sua humilhação; Dize pois: A espada, a espada está desembainhada, polida para a matança, para destruir, para reluzir como relâmpago,
29 Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lie unto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of [them that are] slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity [shall have] an end.
Enquanto te profetizam falsidade, enquanto te adivinham mentira; para te porem sobre os pescoços dos perversos condenados à morte, cujo dia virá no tempo do fim da maldade.
30 Shall I cause [it] to return into his sheath? I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity.
Torna [tua espada] à sua bainha! No lugar onde foste criado, na terra de teu nascimento eu te julgarei.
31 And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, [and] skilful to destroy.
E derramarei sobre ti minha ira; assoprarei contra ti o fogo do meu furor, e te entregarei na mão de homens violentos, habilidosos em destruir.
32 Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no [more] remembered: for I the LORD have spoken [it].
Para o fogo tu serás combustível; teu sangue estará no meio da terra; não haverá memória de ti; porque eu, o SENHOR, falei.
