< Ezekiel 21 >
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
2 Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop [thy word] toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
kami capa, Jerusalem bangah anghaeh loe hmuenciim khaeah misa haih lok to thui ah, Israel prae hoi misa angcoenghaih lok to tapong ah;
3 And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I [am] against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
Israel prae khaeah Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, misa ah kang suek han, tabu thung hoi sumsen to ka phongh moe, katoeng doeh, toeng ai doeh, nihcae to ka tamit boih han boeh.
4 Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:
Katoeng maw, katoeng ai maw, ka tamit boih han oh boeh pongah, aloih bang hoi aluek bang ih kaminawk boih misatuk hanah, ka sumsen loe angmah ih tabu thung hoi tacawt tih boeh:
5 That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more.
to naah Kai, Angraeng mah angmah ih tabu thung hoiah sumsen ka phong boeh, tito kami boih mah panoek o tih; to sumsen loe angmah ih tabu thungah pacaeng let mak ai boeh, tiah thuih, tiah thui paeh.
6 Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of [thy] loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.
To pongah kami capa, aham ah! Kaeng angkhaeh moe, palung tapok han khoek to nihcae hmaa ah aham ah.
7 And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak [as] water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.
Nihcae mah tipongah na ham loe? tiah na dueng o nahaeloe, Tamthang angzoh pongah ni ka ham; tamthang angzo naah loe, palungthin boih tui baktiah amzawt ueloe, bannawk boih thazai sut tih, pakhranawk boih thazok o ueloe, khokkhunawk boih tui baktiah naem o tih boeh, tiah thui paeh; khenah, angzo tih boeh, to hmuen loe om tangtang tih, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih.
8 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
9 Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished:
kami capa, Angraeng mah hae tiah thuih, tiah taphong han ih lok loe, Sumsen maeto, sumsen maeto loe tak het moe, hmawt het boeh:
10 It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, [as] every tree.
sumsen loe kami hum hanah tak het boeh, ni aengh baktiah angpha hanah hmawt suidik boeh; aicae loe ka capa ih cunghet pongah anghoe han oh maw? Thing rumram hoi sak ih cunghet loe sumsen mah patoek.
11 And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.
Sumsen loe hmawt suidik moe, patoh han ih ni a paek; kami hum thaih khaeah paek hanah, to sumsen loe tak het boeh moe, hmawt suidik boeh.
12 Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it [shall be] upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon [thy] thigh.
Kami capa, qah ah loe hang ah, to hmuen loe kai ih kaminawk nuiah pha ueloe, Israel angraengnawk nuiah om tih; to baktih zitthok hmuennawk hoi sumsen loe kai ih kaminawk nuiah krah tih, to pongah na phaih to atum ah.
13 Because [it is] a trial, and what if [the sword] contemn even the rod? it shall be no [more], saith the Lord GOD.
To hmuen loe kaimah ih kaminawk tanoekhaih ah oh, sumsen mah cunghet to patoek nahaeloe kawbangmaw pakaa thai tih? Cunghet loe om mak ai boeh, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih.
14 Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite [thine] hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it [is] the sword of the great [men that are] slain, which entereth into their privy chambers.
To pongah kami capa, lok to taphong ah loe, ban tabaeng ah, vai hnetto, vai thumto sumsen alaekhaih to om tih, to sumsen loe kami humhaih sumsen, kami pop parai humhaih sumsen kalen ah oh moe, nihcae ahnuk ahma humhaih sumsen ah oh.
15 I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that [their] heart may faint, and [their] ruins be multiplied: ah! [it is] made bright, [it is] wrapped up for the slaughter.
Nihcae palung boeng o moe, kadueh kami pop aep hanah, nihcae ih khongkhanawk boih ah sumsen to ka suek boeh; Aw! Sumsen loe ni aengh baktiah ampha moe, kami hum hanah hmawt suidik boeh.
16 Go thee one way or other, [either] on the right hand, [or] on the left, whithersoever thy face [is] set.
Aw sumsen caeh ah loe, banqoi bantang alaek ah, sumsen haa angqoihaih ahnuk ahma bang boih ah takroek ah.
17 I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the LORD have said [it].
Kai doeh ban tabaeng moe, palungphuihaih ka dipsak han boeh, tiah Kai, Angraeng mah thuih boeh.
18 The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,
Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
19 Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose [it] at the head of the way to the city.
kami capa, Babylon siangpahrang sumsen hoi angzohhaih loklam hnetto angmathaih to sah ah; to loklam loe kanghmong prae maeto thung hoiah tacawt tih; toe vangpui bang caehhaih lamphi ah, angmathaih to sah ah.
20 Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced.
Loklam hnetto ampraekhaih ahmuen ah angmathaih kamnoek ah sah ah: loklam maeto loe Ammon prae vangpui, Rabah ah caehhaih loklam ah oh moe, kalah loklam maeto bae loe Judah prae, misa buephaih kacakah sak ih Jerusalem caehhaih loklam ah oh.
21 For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made [his] arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver.
Babylon siangpahrang loe loklam hnetto ampraekhaih lamphi phak naah, to ah angdoet; palaa hoiah taham kasae kahoih to a khet moe, krangnawk khaeah lok a dueng, angbawnhaih moi pathin to a khet.
22 At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint [battering] rams against the gates, to cast a mount, [and] to build a fort.
Misa buephaih im to a sak, misa buephaih to sak moe, misa qumqaihaih long khaw to takaeh hanah, a bantang ban hoiah Jerusalem hanah taham khethaih phoisa to a vah.
23 And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.
Toe anih khaeah lokkamhaih sah kaminawk loe taham khethaih to tidoeh avang ai hmuen ah poek o tih; toe siangpahrang mah loe to kaminawk to naeh thai hanah nihcae sakpazaehaih to pakrong tih.
24 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, [I say], that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.
To pongah Angraeng Sithaw mah hae tiah thuih: na sakpazae o ih hmuennawk to panoek hanah na sak o, to pongah na sakpazae o ih hmuennawk to na panoek o boeh; to tiah na sak o ih hmuennawk hoi na zae o ih hmuennawk loe amtueng boih boeh pongah, siangpahrang ban ah nam timh o tih, tiah ka thuih, tiah thuih pae han ang naa.
25 And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity [shall have] an end,
Aw nang, panuet thok Israel siangpahrang, nang ih ani loe phak boeh, zaehaih pongah boenghaih to phak boeh.
26 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this [shall] not [be] the same: exalt [him that is] low, and abase [him that is] high.
Lumuek to khring ah loe, sui lumuek to angkhring ah; hae hmuen loe amkhrai boih boeh, atlim ah kaom kami to tapom tahang ueloe, tapom tahang ih kami to atlim ah pakhrak tathukhaih om tih, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih.
27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no [more], until he come whose right it is; and I will give it [him].
Tawnkung angzo ai karoek to kam rosak han, kam rosak han! Tawnkung angzoh naah, Anih khaeah ka paek han, tiah a thuih.
28 And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword [is] drawn: for the slaughter [it is] furbished, to consume because of the glittering:
Nang, kami capa, Ammon kaminawk hoi nihcae sethaih kawng pongah Angraeng Sithaw mah, Sumsen, sumsen to aphong boeh; Kami takroek hanah hmawt het boeh moe, kami hum hanah ni aengh baktiah kampha ah hmawt suidik boeh:
29 Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lie unto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of [them that are] slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity [shall have] an end.
nangcae Ammon kaminawk loe tidoeh avang ai hmuen to na khet o moe, nangcae khaeah thuih ih lok amlaihaih to na tang o. To pongah hum han kaom kasae kami ih tahnong ah sumsen to koeng tih boeh, anih humhaih atue loe phak boeh, a zae o haih pongah nihcae boenghaih atue to phak boeh.
30 Shall I cause [it] to return into his sheath? I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity.
Sumsen to tabu thungah ka pacaeng let han maw? Nang kang sakhaih ahmuen, na tapenhaih ahmuen ah, lok kang caek han, tiah thuih, tiah thui paeh, tiah ang naa.
31 And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, [and] skilful to destroy.
Na nuiah palung ka phuihaih ka kraih moe, palung ka phuihaih hmai hoiah kang uengh thuih pacoengah, kami hum thaih, tahmenhaih tawn ai kaminawk ban ah kang paek han.
32 Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no [more] remembered: for I the LORD have spoken [it].
Nang loe hmaitik koi thing ah na om ueloe, prae thungah na thii to long tih; mi mah doeh nang to panoek mak ai boeh, tiah Kai, Angraeng mah thuih boeh, tiah ang naa.
