Esther 8
1 On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews’ enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he [was] unto her.
೧ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ವೈರಿಯಾದ ಹಾಮಾನನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಎಸ್ತೇರ್ ರಾಣಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಆಕೆಯು ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಗೂ ತನಗೂ ಇರುವ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದಳು.
2 And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.
೨ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ತಾನು ಹಾಮಾನನಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ತನ್ನ ಮುದ್ರೆಯುಂಗುರವನ್ನು ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು; ಎಸ್ತೇರಳು ಹಾಮಾನನ ಮನೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತವನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದಳು.
3 And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews.
೩ಎಸ್ತೇರಳು ಪುನಃ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನ ಪಾದಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು, ಅಳುತ್ತಾ, “ಅಗಾಗನ ವಂಶದವನಾದ ಹಾಮಾನನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಹಾನಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿದ ದುಷ್ಟ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು, ಅಪಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಳು.
4 Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before the king,
೪ಅರಸನು ಸುವರ್ಣ ರಾಜದಂಡವನ್ನು ಆಕೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಚಾಚಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆಕೆಯು ಎದ್ದು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತಳು.
5 And said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the thing [seem] right before the king, and I [be] pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which [are] in all the king’s provinces:
೫ಆಗ ಎಸ್ತೇರಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಅರಸನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಟಾಕ್ಷವಿಟ್ಟು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿ, ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವ ಮಾತು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೆಂದು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮ್ಮತಿಸುವುದಾದರೆ, ಅರಸನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುವ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅಗಾಗನ ವಂಶದವನೂ, ಹಮ್ಮೆದಾತನ ಮಗನು ಆದ ಹಾಮಾನನು ಬರೆಯಿಸಿದ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ರದ್ದುಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಬೇಕು.
6 For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?
೬ನನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಕೇಡು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ನಾನು ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ನನ್ನ ಕುಲನಾಶನವನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?” ಎಂದು ಬಿನ್ನವಿಸಿದಳು.
7 Then the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.
೭ಆಗ ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷ್ ರಾಜನು ರಾಣಿಯಾದ ಎಸ್ತೇರಳಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯನಾದ ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಗೂ, “ಹಾಮಾನನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಕೈಯೆತ್ತಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸಿ, ಅವನ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನು ಎಸ್ತೇರಳಿಗೆ ದಾನಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನಲ್ಲಾ, ಅರಸನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ರಾಜಮುದ್ರೆಯಿರುವ ಲೇಖನವನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ರದ್ದುಮಾಡಲು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
8 Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king’s name, and seal [it] with the king’s ring: for the writing which is written in the king’s name, and sealed with the king’s ring, may no man reverse.
೮ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸರಿತೋರುವುದನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವೂ ಬರೆಯಿಸಿ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜಮುದ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
9 Then were the king’s scribes called at that time in the third month, that [is], the month Sivan, on the three and twentieth [day] thereof; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which [are] from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to their language.
೯ಆಗ ರಾಜಲೇಖಕರು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರು ಬಂದು ಮೂರನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಾದ ಜೇಷ್ಠಮಾಸದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಯ ಆಜ್ಞಾನುಸಾರ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೂ, ಭಾರತ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಕೂಷಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವ ನೂರ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೇಳು ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನಗಳ ಉಪರಾಜರಿಗೂ, ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದರು. ಆ ಪತ್ರಗಳು ಆಯಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನಗಳ ಬರಹಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಆಯಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದವು. ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಬರೆದ ಪತ್ರಗಳು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ಬರಹದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಭಾಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಲಿಖಿತವಾದವು.
10 And he wrote in the king Ahasuerus’ name, and sealed [it] with the king’s ring, and sent letters by posts on horseback, [and] riders on mules, camels, [and] young dromedaries:
೧೦ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಯು ಅರಸನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಆ ಪತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ರಾಜಮುದ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ, ಅರಮನೆಯ ಅಶ್ವಾಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಬೆಳೆದಂಥ, ಅರಸನ ಸೇವೆಗಾಗಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಓಡುವಂಥ ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
11 Wherein the king granted the Jews which [were] in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay, and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, [both] little ones and women, and [to take] the spoil of them for a prey,
೧೧ಆ ಪತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನು, “ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷ್ ರಾಜನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನಗಳ ಆಯಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಒಂದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದರೆ, ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಾದ ಫಾಲ್ಗುಣಮಾಸದ ಹದಿಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
12 Upon one day in all the provinces of king Ahasuerus, [namely], upon the thirteenth [day] of the twelfth month, which [is] the month Adar.
೧೨ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣರಕ್ಷಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು, ತಮ್ಮ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಆಯುಧಗಳೊಡನೆ ನೆರೆದು ಬರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳವರನ್ನೂ, ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನಗಳವರನ್ನೂ, ಅವರ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಂದು, ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ, ನಿರ್ನಾಮಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು.
13 The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province [was] published unto all people, and that the Jews should be ready against that day to avenge themselves on their enemies.
೧೩ಅವರ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನು ಸೂರೆಮಾಡಬೇಕು, ಈ ಪತ್ರದ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜವಿಧಿಯೆಂದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಬೇಕು, ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಮಾಡಿದ್ದನು.
14 [So] the posts that rode upon mules [and] camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king’s commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the palace.
೧೪ಈ ರಾಜಾಜ್ಞೆಯು ಶೂಷನ್ ಕೋಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾದಾಗಲೇ ಅಂಚೆಯವರು ಅರಮನೆಯ ಸವಾರಿಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಅರಸನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರೇರಿತರಾಗಿ ಅತಿ ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟರು.
15 And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.
೧೫ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಯಾದರೋ ನೀಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶುಭ್ರವರ್ಣಗಳುಳ್ಳ ರಾಜವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಬಂಗಾರದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು, ರಕ್ತವರ್ಣದ ನಾರಿನ ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ರಾಜಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟನು. ಶೂಷನ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷದ ಆರ್ಭಟವು ಕೇಳಿಸಿತು.
16 The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour.
೧೬ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷ, ಗೌರವ, ಹರ್ಷಪ್ರಭಾವ ಮತ್ತು ತೇಜಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವರಾದರು.
17 And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.
೧೭ರಾಜನಿರ್ಣಯ ಶಾಸನಗಳು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಶುಭದಿನ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು; ಅವರು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದಲೂ, ಉಲ್ಲಾಸದಿಂದಲೂ ಭಕ್ಷ್ಯಭೋಜನಮಾಡಿದರು. ದೇಶದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ಮತಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದರು.
