Deuteronomy 28
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe [and] to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
১আমি তোমাকে আজ যে সব আজ্ঞা আদেশ করছি, যত্নসহকারে সেই সব পালন করার জন্য যদি তুমি নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর রবে মনোযোগ সহকারে কান দাও, তবে তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু পৃথিবীতে অবস্থিত সমস্ত জাতির উপরে তোমাকে ওঠাবেন;
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
২আর তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর রবে কান দিলে এই সব আশীর্বাদ তোমার ওপরে আসবে ও তোমাকে আশ্রয় করবে।
3 Blessed [shalt] thou [be] in the city, and blessed [shalt] thou [be] in the field.
৩তুমি শহরে আশীর্বাদযুক্ত হবে ও ক্ষেতে আশীর্বাদযুক্ত হবে।
4 Blessed [shall be] the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
৪তোমার শরীরের ফল, তোমার ভূমির ফল, তোমার পশুর ফল, তোমার গরুদের বাচ্চা ও তোমার মেষীদের শাবক আশীর্বাদযুক্ত হবে।
5 Blessed [shall be] thy basket and thy store.
৫তোমার (ফলের) ঝুড়ি ও তোমার আটার কাঠের থালার আশীর্বাদযুক্ত হবে।
6 Blessed [shalt] thou [be] when thou comest in, and blessed [shalt] thou [be] when thou goest out.
৬ভিতরে আসার দিনের তুমি আশীর্বাদযুক্ত হবে এবং বাইরে যাবার দিনের তুমি আশীর্বাদযুক্ত হবে।
7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
৭তোমার যে শত্রুরা তোমার বিরুদ্ধে ওঠে, তাদেরকে সদাপ্রভু তোমার সামনে আঘাত করাবেন; তারা একটি রাস্তা দিয়ে তোমার বিরুদ্ধে আসবে, কিন্তু সপ্তম রাস্তা দিয়ে তোমার সামনে থেকে পালাবে।
8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
৮সদাপ্রভু আদেশ দিয়ে তোমার গোলাঘরের বিষয়ে ও তুমি যে কোনো কাজে হাত দাও, তার বিষয়ে তোমাকে আশীর্বাদ করবেন এবং তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে যে দেশ দিচ্ছেন, সেখানে তোমাকে আশীর্বাদ করবেন।
9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
৯সদাপ্রভু নিজের শপথ অনুসারে তোমাকে নিজের পবিত্র লোক বলে স্থাপন করবেন; যদি তুমি তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর আজ্ঞা পালন কর ও তাঁর পথে চল।
10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
১০আর পৃথিবীর সব জাতি দেখতে পাবে যে, তোমার উপরে সদাপ্রভুর নাম কীর্তিত হয়েছে এবং তারা তোমার থেকে ভয় পাবে।
11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
১১আর সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে যে দেশ দিতে তোমার পূর্বপুরুষদের কাছে শপথ করেছেন, সেই দেশে তিনি ভালোর জন্যেই তোমার শরীরের ফলে, তোমার পশুর ফলে ও তোমার ভূমির ফলে তোমাকে উন্নত করবেন।
12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
১২সঠিক দিনের তোমার ভূমির জন্য বৃষ্টি দিতে ও তোমার হাতের সব কাজে আশীর্বাদ করতে সদাপ্রভু নিজের আকাশের ধনভান্ডার খুলে দেবেন এবং তুমি অনেক জাতিকে ঋণ দেবে, কিন্তু নিজে ঋণ নেবে না।
13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do [them: ]
১৩আর সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে প্রধান করবেন, লেজের মতো করবেন না; তুমি নত না হয়ে শুধু উন্নত হবে; যদি তুমি তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর এই যে সব আজ্ঞা যত্নসহকারে পালন করতে আমি তোমাকে আজ আদেশ করছি, এই সব কিছুতে কান দিতে হবে;
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, [to] the right hand, or [to] the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
১৪এবং আজ আমি তোমাদেরকে যে সব কথা আজ্ঞা করছি, অন্য দেবতাদের সেবা করার জন্যে তাদের অনুগামী হবার জন্য তোমাকে সেই সব কথার ডান দিকে কি বাম দিকে ফিরতে হবে না।
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
১৫কিন্তু যদি তুমি নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর রবে কান না দাও, আমি আজ তোমাকে তাঁর যে সব আজ্ঞা ও বিধি আদেশ করছি, যত্ন সহকারে সেই সব পালন না কর, তবে এই সমস্ত অভিশাপ তোমার প্রতি আসবে ও তোমার থেকে এগিয়ে যাবে।
16 Cursed [shalt] thou [be] in the city, and cursed [shalt] thou [be] in the field.
১৬তুমি শহরে শাপগ্রস্ত হবে ও ক্ষেতে শাপগ্রস্ত হবে।
17 Cursed [shall be] thy basket and thy store.
১৭তোমার (ফলের) ঝুড়ি ও তোমার আটার কাঠের থালা শাপগ্রস্ত হবে।
18 Cursed [shall be] the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
১৮তোমার শরীরের ফল, তোমার ভূমির ফল এবং তোমার গরুর বাচ্চা ও তোমার মেষীদের শাবক শাপগ্রস্ত হবে।
19 Cursed [shalt] thou [be] when thou comest in, and cursed [shalt] thou [be] when thou goest out.
১৯ভিতরে আসার দিনের তুমি শাপগ্রস্ত হবে ও বাইরে যাবার দিনের তুমি শাপগ্রস্ত হবে।
20 The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
২০যে পর্যন্ত তোমার ধ্বংস ও হঠাৎ বিনাশ না হয়, সেই পর্যন্ত যে কোনো কাজে তুমি হাত দাও, সেই কাজে সদাপ্রভু তোমার উপরে অভিশাপ, উদ্বেগ ও তিরস্কার পাঠাবেন; এর কারণ তোমার খারাপ কাজ সব, যার মাধ্যমে তুমি আমাকে পরিত্যাগ করেছ।
21 The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.
২১তুমি যে দেশ অধিকার করতে যাচ্ছ, সেই দেশ থেকে যতক্ষণ উচ্ছেদ না হয়, ততক্ষণ সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে মহামারী দেবেন।
22 The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.
২২সদাপ্রভু ছোঁয়াচে রোগ, জ্বর, জ্বালা, প্রচণ্ড উত্তাপ ও খড়্গ এবং শস্যের শোষ ও ম্লানির মাধ্যমে তোমাকে আঘাত করবেন; তোমার বিনাশ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত সে সব তোমার অনুসরণ করবে।
23 And thy heaven that [is] over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee [shall be] iron.
২৩আর তোমার মাথার উপরে অবস্থিত আকাশ ব্রোঞ্জ ও নীচে অবস্থিত ভূমি লোহার মতো হবে।
24 The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
২৪সদাপ্রভু তোমার দেশে জলের পরিবর্তে ধূলো ও বালি বর্ষণ করবেন; যে পর্যন্ত তোমার বিনাশ না হয়, ততক্ষণ তা আকাশ থেকে নেমে তোমার উপরে পড়বে।
25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
২৫সদাপ্রভু তোমার শত্রুদের সামনে তোমাকে আঘাত করাবেন; তুমি এক রাস্তা দিয়ে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে যাবে, কিন্তু সপ্তম রাস্তা দিয়ে তাদের সামনে থেকে পালাবে এবং পৃথিবীর সমস্ত রাজ্যের মধ্যে বিরক্তিজনক হবে।
26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray [them] away.
২৬আর তোমার মৃতদেহ আকাশের পাখিদের ও মাটিতে চরা পশুদের খাদ্য হবে; কেউ তাদেরকে আতঙ্কিত করবে না।
27 The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.
২৭সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে মিশরীয় ফোঁড়া এবং মহামারীর ঘাত, জঘন্য ও খোঁস পাঁচড়া, এই সব রোগের মাধ্যমে এমন আঘাত করবেন যে, তুমি আরোগ্য পেতে পারবে না।
28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:
২৮সদাপ্রভু উন্মাদ, অন্ধতা ও মানসিক বিভ্রান্তের মাধ্যমে তোমাকে আঘাত করবেন।
29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save [thee].
২৯অন্ধ যেমন অন্ধকারে হাঁতড়ে বেড়ায়, সেরকম তুমি দুপুরবেলায় হাঁতড়ে বেড়াবে ও নিজের পথে উন্নতিলাভ হবে না এবং সবদিন শুধু অত্যাচারিত ও লুন্ঠিত হবে, কেউ তোমাকে রক্ষা করবে না।
30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
৩০তোমার প্রতি মেয়ের বাগ্দান হবে, কিন্তু অন্য পুরুষ তারসঙ্গে শোবে; তুমি বাড়ি তৈরী করবে, কিন্তু তাতে বাস করতে পাবে না; আঙ্গুর ক্ষেত রোপণ করবে, কিন্তু তার ফল ভোগ করবে না।
31 Thine ox [shall be] slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass [shall be] violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep [shall be] given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue [them].
৩১তোমার গরু তোমার সামনে মারা যাবে, আর তুমি তার মাংস খেতে পারবে না; তোমার গাধা তোমার সামনে থেকে জোর করে নিয়ে যাবে, তা তোমাকে ফিরিয়ে দেওয়া যাবে না; তোমার মেষপাল তোমার শত্রুদেরকে দেওয়া হবে, তোমার জন্যে সাহায্যকারী কেউ থাকবে না।
32 Thy sons and thy daughters [shall be] given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail [with longing] for them all the day long: and [there shall be] no might in thine hand.
৩২তোমার ছেলেমেয়েদেরকে অন্য এক জাতিকে দেওয়া হবে ও সমস্ত দিন তাদের অপেক্ষায় চাইতে চাইতে তোমার চোখ ব্যর্থ হবে এবং তোমার হাতে কোনো শক্তি থাকবে না।
33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
৩৩তোমার অজানা এক জাতি তোমার ভূমির ফল ও তোমার পরিশ্রমের সমস্ত ফল ভোগ করবে এবং তুমি সবদিন শুধু অত্যাচারিত ও চূর্ণ হবে
34 So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
৩৪আর তোমার চোখ যা দেখবে, তার জন্য তুমি উন্মাদ হবে।
35 The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.
৩৫সদাপ্রভু তোমার হাঁটু, পা ও পায়ের তলা থেকে মাথার তালু পর্যন্ত কঠিন স্ফোটকের মাধ্যমে আঘাত করবেন যা আরোগ্য হবে না।
36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
৩৬সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে এবং যে রাজাকে তুমি নিজের ওপরে নিযুক্ত করবে, তাকে তোমার অজানা এবং তোমার পূর্বপুরুষদের অজানা এক জাতির কাছে নিয়ে যাবেন; সেই জায়গায় তুমি অন্য দেবতাদের, কাঠ ও পাথরের সেবা করবে।
37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.
৩৭আর সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে যে সব জাতির মধ্যে নিয়ে যাবেন, তাদের কাছে তুমি বিস্ময়ের, প্রবাদের ও উপহাসের পাত্র হবে।
38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather [but] little in; for the locust shall consume it.
৩৮তুমি বহু বীজ ক্ষেতে বয়ে নিয়ে যাবে, কিন্তু অল্প সংগ্রহ করবে; কারণ পঙ্গপাল তা বিনষ্ট করবে।
39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress [them], but shalt neither drink [of] the wine, nor gather [the grapes; ] for the worms shall eat them.
৩৯তুমি আঙ্গুর ক্ষেত রোপণ করে তার চাষ করবে, কিন্তু আঙ্গুর রস পান করতে কি আঙ্গুর ফল জড়ো করতে পারবে না; কারণ পোকায় তা খেয়ে ফেলবে।
40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint [thyself] with the oil; for thine olive shall cast [his fruit].
৪০তোমার সকল অঞ্চলে জিতগাছ হবে, কিন্তু তুমি তেল ঘষতে পারবে না; কারণ তোমার জিতগাছের ফল ঝরে পড়বে।
41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
৪১তুমি ছেলে মেয়েদের জন্ম দেবে, কিন্তু তারা তোমার হবে না; কারণ তারা বন্দি হয়ে যাবে।
42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.
৪২পঙ্গপাল তোমার সব গাছ ও ভূমির ফল অধিকার করবে।
43 The stranger that [is] within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.
৪৩তোমার মধ্যবর্ত্তী বিদেশী তোমার থেকে আরো উন্নত হবে ও তুমি আরো অবনত হবে।
44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.
৪৪সে তোমাকে ঋণ দেবে, কিন্তু তুমি তাকে ঋণ দেবে না; সে মাথার মতো হবে ও তুমি লেজের মতো হবে।
45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
৪৫এই সমস্ত অভিশাপ তোমার ওপরে আসবে, তোমার অনুসরণ করে তোমার ধ্বংস পর্যন্ত তোমার থেকে এগিয়ে যাবে; কারণ তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে যে সব আজ্ঞা ও বিধি দিয়েছেন, তুমি সে সব পালনের জন্যে তাঁর রবে কান দিলে না।
46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.
৪৬এ সব তোমার ও চিরকাল তোমার বংশের উপরে চিহ্ন ও অদ্ভুত লক্ষণের মতো থাকবে।
47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all [things; ]
৪৭কারণ সমৃদ্ধির জন্য তুমি আনন্দে এবং উল্লাসে নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর দাসত্ব করতে না;
48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all [things: ] and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
৪৮এই জন্য সদাপ্রভু তোমার বিরুদ্ধে যে শত্রুদেরকে পাঠাবেন, তুমি খিদেতে, তৃষ্ণায়, উলঙ্গতায় ও সব বিষয়ের অভাব ভোগ করতে করতে তাদের দাসত্ব করবে এবং যে পর্যন্ত তিসদাপ্রভু নি তোমার ধ্বংস না করেন, সে পর্যন্ত সদাপ্রভু তিনি তোমার ঘাড়ে লোহার যোঁয়ালি দিয়ে রাখবেন।
49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, [as swift] as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
৪৯সদাপ্রভুর তোমার বিরুদ্ধে বহু দূর থেকে, পৃথিবীর শেষ থেকে এক জাতিকে আনবেন; যেমন ঈগল পাখি উড়ে আসে, সে সেইভাবে আসবে; সেই জাতির ভাষা তুমি বুঝতে পারবে না।
50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
৫০সেই জাতি ভয়ঙ্কর মুখ, সে বয়স্ককে শ্রদ্ধা করবে না ও বালকের প্রতি দয়া করবে না।
51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which [also] shall not leave thee [either] corn, wine, or oil, [or] the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
৫১আর যে পর্যন্ত তোমার ধ্বংস না হবে, ততক্ষণ সে তোমার পশুর ফল ও তোমার ভূমির ফল খাবে; যতক্ষণ সে তোমার ধ্বংস সম্পন্ন না করবে, ততক্ষণ তোমার জন্য শস্য, আঙ্গুর রস কিংবা তেল, তোমার গরুর বাচ্চা কিংবা তোমার মেষীর শাবক বাকি রাখবে না।
52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.
৫২আর তোমার সব দেশে যে সব উঁচু ও সুরক্ষিত দেওয়ালে তুমি বিশ্বাস করতে, সে সব যতক্ষণ ভূমিসাৎ না হবে, ততক্ষণ সে তোমার সব শহরের দরজায় তোমাকে অবরোধ করবে; তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর দেওয়া তোমার সমস্ত দেশে সব শহরের দরজায় সে তোমাকে অবরোধ করবে।
53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:
৫৩আর যখন তোমার শত্রুদের মাধ্যমে তুমি অবরুদ্ধ ও কষ্ট পাবে, তখন তুমি নিজের শরীরের ফল, তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর দেওয়া নিজের ছেলে মেয়েদের মাংস খাবে।
54 [So that] the man [that is] tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
৫৪যখন সব শহরের দরজায় শত্রুদের মাধ্যমে তুমি অবরুদ্ধ ও কষ্ট পাবে, তখন তোমার মধ্যে যে পুরুষ কোমল ও খুব বিলাসী, নিজের ভাইয়ের, তার প্রিয় স্ত্রী ও বাকি ছেলে মেয়েদের প্রতি সে ঈর্ষাপূর্ণ যে,
55 So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.
৫৫সে তাদের কাউকেও নিজের ছেলে মেয়েদের মাংসের কিছুই দেবে না; তার কিছুমাত্র বাকি না থাকার জন্য সে তাদেরকে খাবে।
56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
৫৬যখন সব শহরের দরজায় শত্রুদের মাধ্যমে তুমি অবরুদ্ধ ও কষ্ট পাবে তখন যে স্ত্রী কোমলতা ও বিলাসিতার জন্য নিজের পা মাটিতে রাখতে সাহস করত না, তোমার মাঝে এমন কোমল ও বিলাসী মহিলার চোখ নিজের স্বামীর, নিজের ছেলে ও মেয়ের ওপরে,
57 And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all [things] secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.
৫৭এমন কি, নিজের দুই পায়ের মধ্য থেকে বের হওয়া সদ্যোজাত ও নিজের প্রসবিত শিশুদের ওপরে অত্যাচার করবে; কারণ সব কিছুর অভাবের জন্য সে এদেরকে গোপনে খাবে।
58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
৫৮তুমি যদি এই বইতে লেখা নিয়মের সমস্ত কথা যত্ন সহকারে পালন না কর; এভাবে যদি “তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু” এই গৌরবান্বিত ও ভয়াবহ নামকে ভয় না কর;
59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, [even] great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
৫৯তবে সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে ও তোমার বংশকে ভয়ঙ্কর মহামারী দেবেন; ফলে অনেক দিন স্থায়ী মহাঘাত ও অনেক দিন স্থায়ী কঠিন রোগ দেবেন।
60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
৬০আর তুমি যা থেকে ভয় পেতে, সেই মিশরীয় সব রোগ আবার তোমার উপরে আনবেন; সে সব তোমার সঙ্গী হবে।
61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which [is] not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
৬১আর যা এই নিয়মের বইয়ে লেখা নেই, এমন প্রত্যেক রোগ ও আঘাত সদাপ্রভু তোমার ধ্বংস না হওয়া পর্যন্ত তোমার উপরে আনবেন।
62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.
৬২তাতে আকাশের তারার মতো বহুসংখ্যক ছিলে যে তোমরা, তোমরা কিছু সংখ্যক বাকি থাকবে; কারণ তুমি নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর রবে কান দিতে না।
63 And it shall come to pass, [that] as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.
৬৩আর তোমাদের ভালো ও বহুগুণ করতে যেমন সদাপ্রভু তোমাদের বিষয়ে আনন্দ করতেন, সেরকম তোমাদের ধ্বংস ও বিনষ্ট করতে সদাপ্রভু তোমাদের বিষয়ে আনন্দ করবেন এবং তুমি যে দেশ অধিকার করতে যাচ্ছ, সেখান থেকে তোমরা অপহৃত হবে।
64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, [even] wood and stone.
৬৪আর সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে পৃথিবীর এক প্রান্ত থেকে অপর প্রান্ত পর্যন্ত সব জাতির মধ্যে ছড়িয়ে দেবেন; সেই জায়গায় তুমি নিজের ও নিজের পূর্বপুরুষদের অজানা অন্য দেবতাদের, কাঠ ও পাথরের সেবা করবে।
65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
৬৫আর তুমি সেই জাতিদের মধ্যে কিছু সুখ পাবে না ও তোমার পায়ের জন্য বিশ্রামের জায়গা থাকবে না, কিন্তু সদাপ্রভু সেই জায়গায় তোমাকে হৃদয়ের কম্পতা, চোখের ক্ষীণতা ও প্রাণের শোক দেবেন।
66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
৬৬আর তোমার জীবন তোমার দৃষ্টিতে সংশয়ে ঝুলে থাকবে এবং তুমি দিন রাত ভয় করবে ও নিজের জীবনের বিষয়ে তোমার বিশ্বাস থাকবে না।
67 In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
৬৭তুমি হৃদয়ে যে ভয় করবে ও চোখে যে ভয়ঙ্কর দৃশ্য দেখবে, তার জন্য সকালে বলবে, হায় হায়, কখন সন্ধ্যা হবে? এবং সন্ধ্যাবেলায় বলবে, হায় হায়, কখন সকাল হবে?
68 And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy [you].
৬৮আর যে পথের বিষয়ে আমি তোমাকে বলেছি, তুমি তা আর দেখবে না, সদাপ্রভু সেই মিশর দেশের পথে জাহাজে করে তোমাকে আবার নিয়ে যাবেন এবং সেই জায়গায় তোমরা দাসদাসীরূপে নিজের শত্রুদের কাছে বিক্রীত হতে চাইবে; কিন্তু কেউ তোমাদেরকে কিনবে না।
