< Deuteronomy 22 >
1 Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.
Bí o bá rí màlúù tàbí àgùntàn arákùnrin rẹ tí ó ń sọnù, má ṣe ṣé àìkíyèsí i rẹ̀ ṣùgbọ́n rí i dájú pé o mú padà wá fún un.
2 And if thy brother [be] not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.
Bí ọkùnrin náà kì í bá gbé ní tòsí rẹ tàbí bí o kò bá mọ ẹni náà, mú un lọ ilé pẹ̀lú rẹ kí o sì fi pamọ́ títí yóò fi wá a wá. Nígbà náà ni kí o fi fún un.
3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother’s, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.
Ṣe bákan náà tí o bá rí kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ arákùnrin rẹ tàbí aṣọ ìlekè tàbí ohunkóhun rẹ̀ tí ó sọnù. Má ṣe ṣe àìkíyèsí i rẹ̀.
4 Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift [them] up again.
Bí o bá rí kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ tàbí màlúù arákùnrin rẹ tí o dùbúlẹ̀ sójú ọ̀nà, má ṣe ṣàìfiyèsí i rẹ̀, ràn án lọ́wọ́ láti dìde dúró lórí ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀.
5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so [are] abomination unto the LORD thy God.
Obìnrin kò gbọdọ̀ wọ aṣọ ọkùnrin, tàbí kí ọkùnrin wọ aṣọ obìnrin, nítorí Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ kórìíra ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó ṣe èyí.
6 If a bird’s nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, [whether they be] young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:
Bí ìwọ bá ṣe alábòápàdé ìtẹ́ ẹyẹ lẹ́gbẹ̀ẹ́ ọ̀nà, bóyá lára igi tàbí lórí ilẹ̀, tí ìyá wọn sì jókòó lórí àwọn ọmọ, tàbí lórí àwọn ẹyin, má ṣe gbé ìyá pẹ̀lú àwọn ọmọ.
7 [But] thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and [that] thou mayest prolong [thy] days.
Ìwọ lè gbé ọmọ, ṣùgbọ́n rí i dájú pé o jọ̀wọ́ ìyá lọ́wọ́ lọ, kí ó ba à lè dára fún ọ àti kí o lè ní ẹ̀mí gígùn.
8 When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.
Nígbà tí o bá kọ́ ilé tuntun, mọ odi yí òrùlé rẹ̀ ká nítorí kí o má ba à mú ẹ̀bi ìtàjẹ̀ sílẹ̀ wá sórí ilẹ̀ rẹ bí ẹnikẹ́ni bá ṣubú láti òrùlé.
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.
Má ṣe gbin oríṣìí èso méjì sínú ọgbà àjàrà rẹ; bí o bá ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀, kì í ṣe èso oko tí o gbìn nìkan ṣùgbọ́n èso ọgbà àjàrà pẹ̀lú yóò bàjẹ́.
10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.
Ìwọ kò gbọdọ̀ fi akọ màlúù àti akọ kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ tulẹ̀ pọ̀.
11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, [as] of woollen and linen together.
Ìwọ kò gbọdọ̀ wọ aṣọ onírun àgùntàn àti aṣọ funfun papọ̀.
12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest [thyself].
Kí o ṣe wajawaja sí etí igun mẹ́rẹ̀ẹ̀rin aṣọ ìlekè rẹ.
13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,
Bí ọkùnrin kan bá mú ìyàwó àti, lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí ó ti dùbúlẹ̀ pẹ̀lú rẹ̀, kórìíra rẹ̀,
14 And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:
tí ó ṣì sọ̀rọ̀ ìbàjẹ́ sì i, tí o sì fún un ní orúkọ búburú, wí pé, “Mo fẹ́ obìnrin yìí, ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí mo súnmọ́ ọn. Èmi kò rí àmì ìbálé rẹ̀.”
15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth [the tokens of] the damsel’s virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:
Nígbà náà ni baba ọmọbìnrin náà àti ìyá rẹ̀ yóò mú ẹ̀rí pé, ó ti wà ní ìbálé tẹ́lẹ̀ wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn àgbàgbà ìlú ní ẹnu-bodè.
16 And the damsel’s father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;
Baba obìnrin náà yóò wí fún àwọn àgbàgbà pé, “Mo fi ọmọbìnrin mi fún ọkùnrin yìí láti fẹ́ níyàwó, ṣùgbọ́n ó kórìíra rẹ̀.
17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech [against her], saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these [are the tokens of] my daughter’s virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
Ní ìsinsin yìí ó ti sọ̀rọ̀ ìbàjẹ́ sí i ó sì wí pé, ‘Èmi kò rí ọmọbìnrin rẹ kí ó wà ní wúńdíá.’ Ṣùgbọ́n níhìn-ín yìí ni ẹ̀rí ìbálé ọmọbìnrin mi.” Nígbà náà ni àwọn òbí rẹ̀ yóò fi aṣọ hàn níwájú àwọn àgbàgbà ìlú,
18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;
àwọn àgbàgbà yóò sì mú ọkùnrin náà, wọn yóò sì jẹ ní yà.
19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred [shekels] of silver, and give [them] unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
Wọn yóò sì gba ìtánràn ọgọ́rùn-ún ṣékélì owó fàdákà fún baba ọmọbìnrin náà, nítorí ọkùnrin yìí ti fi orúkọ búburú fún wúńdíá Israẹli. Yóò sì máa ṣe ìyàwó rẹ̀; kò gbọdọ̀ kọ̀ ọ́ sílẹ̀ ní gbogbo ayé e rẹ̀.
20 But if this thing be true, [and the tokens of] virginity be not found for the damsel:
Ṣùgbọ́n bí ẹ̀sùn náà bá jẹ́ òtítọ́ tí a kò sí rí ẹ̀rí ìbálé obìnrin náà,
21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.
wọn yóò mú wá sí ẹnu-ọ̀nà ilé baba rẹ̀ níbẹ̀ sì ni àwọn ọkùnrin ìlú rẹ̀ yóò ti sọ ọ́ ní òkúta pa. Ó ti ṣe ohun ìtìjú ní Israẹli nípa ṣíṣe àgbèrè nígbà tí ó wà nílé baba rẹ̀. Ẹ ní láti pa ohun búburú kúrò láàrín yín.
22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, [both] the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
Bí o bá rí ọkùnrin kan tí ó bá ìyàwó ọkùnrin mìíràn lòpọ̀, àwọn méjèèjì ní láti kú. Ẹ ní láti pa ohun búburú kúrò láàrín Israẹli.
23 If a damsel [that is] a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
Bí ó bá ṣẹlẹ̀ wí pé ọkùnrin kan pàdé wúńdíá tí a ti fi fún ni láti fẹ́ láàrín ìlú tí ó sì lòpọ̀ pẹ̀lú u rẹ̀,
24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, [being] in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
ìwọ yóò mú àwọn méjèèjì lọ sí ẹnu ibodè ìlú náà kí o sì sọ wọ́n ní òkúta pa nítorí ọmọbìnrin náà wà ní ìlú kò sì kígbe fún ìrànlọ́wọ́, àti ọkùnrin náà nítorí ó ba ìyàwó ọkùnrin mìíràn jẹ́. O ní láti wẹ búburú kúrò láàrín rẹ.
25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:
Ṣùgbọ́n bí ó bá ṣe ìgbẹ́ ní ó ti ṣẹlẹ̀ pé ọkùnrin kan ti pàdé ọmọbìnrin tí a ti fẹ́ ṣọ́nà tí o sì fi tagbára tagbára bá a ṣe, ọkùnrin náà nìkan tí ó ṣe èyí ni yóò kú.
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; [there is] in the damsel no sin [worthy] of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so [is] this matter:
Má ṣe fi ohunkóhun ṣe ọmọbìnrin náà; kò ṣẹ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ tí ó tọ́ sí ikú. Ẹjọ́ yìí rí bí i ti ẹnìkan tí a gbámú tí ó pa aládùúgbò rẹ̀.
27 For he found her in the field, [and] the betrothed damsel cried, and [there was] none to save her.
Nítorí ọkùnrin náà rí ọmọbìnrin náà ní ìta ibodè, bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé ọmọbìnrin àfẹ́sọ́nà kígbe, kò sí ẹnìkankan níbẹ̀ láti gbà á kalẹ̀.
28 If a man find a damsel [that is] a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
Bí ó bá ṣẹlẹ̀ pé ọkùnrin pàdé wúńdíá tí kò ì tí ì ní àfẹ́sọ́nà tí ó sì fi tipátipá bá a ṣe tí a gbá wọn mú.
29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel’s father fifty [shekels] of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
Ó ní láti san àádọ́ta fàdákà fún baba obìnrin náà, nítorí tí ó ti bà á jẹ́. Kò lè kọ̀ ọ́ sílẹ̀ níwọ̀n ìgbà tí ó sì wà láààyè.
30 A man shall not take his father’s wife, nor discover his father’s skirt.
Ọkùnrin kò gbọdọ̀ fẹ́ ìyàwó baba rẹ̀; kò gbọdọ̀ sọ ìtẹ́ baba rẹ̀ di àìlọ́wọ̀.
