< Amos 4 >
1 Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that [are] in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.
Winjuru wachni, un mond Samaria machwe ka dwesni ma Bashan, un mon masando jochan, un muthago joma odhier, kendo uwachone chwou niya, “Kelnwa gik ma wanyalo madho!”
2 The Lord GOD hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks.
Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto osesingore niya, “Ndalo biro chopo ma wasigu noywau gi olope kendo ngʼato ka ngʼato kuomu, nochal mana ka rech ma olowu omako.
3 And ye shall go out at the breaches, every [cow at that which is] before her; and ye shall cast [them] into the palace, saith the LORD.
Ginigolu oko mar dala ka giluwo kodu kuonde momukore mag ohinga, kendo gibiro witou oko kuchomo Hamon,” Jehova Nyasaye owacho.
4 Come to Beth-el, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, [and] your tithes after three years:
“Dhiuru Bethel mondo utim richo; kendo dhiuru Gilgal mondo umed timoe richo. Keluru misengini magu okinyi kokinyi kendo keluru achiel kuom apar magu bangʼ higni adek ka higni adek.
5 And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim [and] publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
Chiwuru makati moketie thowi kaka misango mar dwoko erokamano, kendo landuru wach kusungoru, un jo-Israel kuom chiwo mar hera, nimar mano ema uwinjo ka morou ka usiko kutimo,” Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto owacho.
6 And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
“Ne akelo kech e miechu duto, kendo nubedo maonge chiemo, to kata kamano pod utamoru duogo ira,” Jehova Nyasaye owacho.
7 And also I have withholden the rain from you, when [there were] yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
“Ne amako koth mondo kik chue kane pod odongʼ dweche adek to piny chiek. Ne amiyo koth ochwe e mier moko, to ok e mier mamoko. Ne ochwe e puothe moko, to puothe mane ok ochweye, to ne wangʼ.
8 So two [or] three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
Ji ne wuotho awuotha e mier kamanyo pi modho, kendo ne ok ginyal yudo pi moromogi, to kata kuom mago duto pod utamoru duogo ira,” Jehova Nyasaye owacho.
9 I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured [them: ] yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
“Kuom kinde mangʼeny ne aoro dera mi oketho chambu gi puotheu mag mzabibu. Bonyo noketho puotheu mag ngʼowu kod mag zeituni, to kata kuom mago duto pod utamoru duogo ira,” mano e wach Jehova Nyasaye.
10 I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
“Ne akelonu tuoche mag buche machal gi mane akelo ni jo-Misri. Ne anego yawuotu mangʼeny kod ligangla kaachiel gi fareseu mag lweny. Bende ne amiyo tik marach mar joma otho othingʼou e kuondeu mag bworo, to kata kuom mago duto pod ne utamoru duoga ira,” Jehova Nyasaye owacho.
11 I have overthrown [some] of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
“Ne atieko jomoko kuomu mana kaka ne atieko Sodom gi Gomora, kendo ne uchalo mana gi yien moyudh kawangʼ e mach, to kata kuom mago duto pod ne utamoru duoga ira,” Jehova Nyasaye owacho.
12 Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: [and] because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
“Kuom mano, ma e gima abiro timonu un jo-Israel, to nikech abiro timonu kama, koro ikreuru mondo urom gi Nyasachu, yaye Israel.”
13 For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what [is] his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, [is] his name.
Jal mane ochweyo gode bende ema nochweyo yamo, onyiso dhano parone, bende en ema oloko ler mar odiechiengʼ bedo mudho, en e ruodh piny duto; nyinge en Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasaye Maratego.
