Acts 8
1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judæa and Samaria, except the apostles.
၁သူ့ ကိုကွပ်မျက် သောအမှုကိုရှောလု သည်လည်း ဝန်ခံ လျက်ရှိ ၏။ထိုအခါ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၌ ရှိသော အသင်းတော် သည် ပြင်းစွာ သောညှဉ်းဆဲ ခြင်းကိုခံရသဖြင့် တမန်တော် တို့မှတပါး သင်းဝင်သူအပေါင်း တို့သည် ယုဒ ပြည်၊ ရှမာရိ ပြည်အရပ်ရပ် တို့၌ အနှံ့အပြားကွဲပြား ကြ၏။
2 And devout men carried Stephen [to his burial], and made great lamentation over him.
၂တရားကိုရိုသေ သောသူ တို့သည် သတေဖန် ကို သင်္ဂြိုဟ် ၍ ပြင်းစွာ သောငိုကြွေး မြည်တမ်းခြင်းကို ပြု ကြ၏။
3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed [them] to prison.
၃ရှောလု သည် အသင်းတော် ကိုဖျက်ဆီး လေ၏။ အိမ် များသို့ ဝင် ပြီးလျှင်ယောက်ျား မိန်းမ တို့ကို ဆွဲငင် ၍ ထောင် ထဲ၌ လှောင် ထားတတ်၏။
4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.
၄ထိုကြောင့် အရပ်ရပ်သို့ကွဲပြား သော သူ တို့သည် လှည့်လည် ၍ နှုတ်ကပတ် တော်တည်းဟူသောဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို ဟောပြော ကြ၏။
5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.
၅ဖိလိပ္ပု သည်လည်း၊ ရှမာရိ မြို့ သို့ သွား ၍ ခရစ်တော် ၏ အကြောင်းကိုဟော လေ၏။
6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
၆လူ အစုအဝေးတို့သည်ကြား ၍ ဖိလိပ္ပု ပြု သော နိမိတ် လက္ခဏာတို့ကို မြင် သောအခါ၊ သူ၏စကား ကို တစ် ညီတစ်ညွတ်တည်း နားထောင် ကြ ၏။
7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed [with them]: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.
၇အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ နတ် ဆိုး စွဲ သော သူ များတို့၏ အထဲမှ နတ်ဆိုးတို့သည် ပြင်းစွာ သော အသံ နှင့် အော်ဟစ် လျက်ထွက်သွား ကြ၏။ ကိုယ် မလှုပ်နိုင်သောသူ၊ ခြေမစွမ်း သောသူအများ တို့သည်လည်း ပကတိ အဖြစ် သို့ရောက်ကြ၏။
8 And there was great joy in that city.
၈ထို မြို့သူ မြို့သားတို့သည် အလွန် ဝမ်းမြောက် ခြင်းရှိ ကြ၏။
9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:
၉ရှိမုန် အမည် ရှိသော သူ တစ် ယောက်သည်၊ ထိုမြို့ ၌ နတ် ဝိဇ္ဇာအတတ်နှင့် ပြုပြင်၍၊ ငါ သည်ထူးဆန်း သော သူ ဖြစ် သည်ဟုဆို လျက်၊ ရှမာရိ အမျိုးသား တို့ကို မိန်းမော တွေဝေစေခြင်းငှာပြု၏။
10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.
၁၀လူကြီး လူငယ် ရှိသမျှတို့က လည်း၊ ဤသူ သည် ဘုရားသခင် ၏ မဟာ တန်ခိုး တော်ဖြစ် သည်ဟု ဆို လျက် ထိုသူ ၌ဆည်းကပ် ကြ၏။
11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.
၁၁ဆည်းကပ် သည်အကြောင်း ကား၊ သူ တို့ကို မိန်းမော တွေဝေစေခြင်းငှာထိုသူသည် နတ် ဝိဇ္ဇာအတတ်အားဖြင့် ကြာမြင့် စွာပြုလျက်နေ၏။
12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
၁၂ဖိလိပ္ပု သည် ဘုရားသခင် ၏နိုင်ငံ တော်၌၎င်း၊ ယေရှု ခရစ် ၏ နာမ တော်နှင့် ၎င်း စပ်ဆိုင် သော ဧဝံဂေလိ တရားကို ဟောပြော၍ ထိုသူ တို့သည် ယုံကြည် သောအခါ ၊ ယောက်ျား မိန်းမ တို့သည် ဗတ္တိဇံ ကို ခံကြ၏။
13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
၁၃ရှိမုန် သည်လည်း ကိုယ်တိုင် ယုံကြည် သည်ဖြစ်၍ ဗတ္တိဇံ ကို ခံပြီးမှ ဖိလိပ္ပု ထံ၌မှီဝဲ ဆည်းကပ်သဖြင့်၊ ထူးဆန်းသော တန်ခိုး ကြီး သော နိမိတ် လက္ခဏာများကို မြင် ၍ မိန်းမော တွေဝေလျက်ရှိ လေ၏။
14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
၁၄ရှမာရိ မြို့သားတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင် ၏ နှုတ်ကပတ် တရားတော်ကို ခံယူ ကြပြီဟု ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၌ ရှိသော တမန်တော် တို့သည် သိတင်း ကြား လျှင် ၊ ပေတရု နှင့် ယောဟန် တို့ကို စေလွှတ် ကြ၏။
15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
၁၅ထိုမြို့သူမြို့သားတို့သည် သခင် ယေရှု ၏နာမ ၌ ဗတ္တိဇံ ကို ခံရုံ မျှသာ ရှိ သဖြင့် ၊
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
၁၆တစ်စုံတစ်ယောက် သောသူ အပေါ် ၌သန့်ရှင်း သော ဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် သက်ရောက် တော် မ မူသေးသည် ဖြစ်၍၊ တမန်တော်တို့သည် ရောက်ကြလျှင်၊ ဝိညာဉ် တော် ကိုခံရ မည်အကြောင်း ထိုမြို့သူမြို့သားတို့ အဘို့ ဆုတောင်း ၍၊
17 Then laid they [their] hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
၁၇ထိုသူ တို့အပေါ် ၌လက် ကိုတင် သောအားဖြင့်သူတို့သည် သန့်ရှင်း သောဝိညာဉ် တော်ကိုခံရ ကြ၏။
18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
၁၈တမန်တော် တို့လက် ကိုတင် သောအားဖြင့် သန့်ရှင်းသော ဝိညာဉ် တော်သက်ရောက် သည်ကို ရှိမုန် မြင် လျှင်၊ ငွေ ကိုယူဆောင် ခဲ့၍၊
19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
၁၉အကျွန်ုပ် ၏ လက် တင် ခြင်းကိုခံရသောသူ သည် သန့်ရှင်း သော ဝိညာဉ် တော်ကိုခံ စေမည်အကြောင်း အကျွန်ုပ် အား အခွင့် ပေး ပါဟု တောင်း သော်၊
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
၂၀ပေတရု က၊ ဘုရားသခင် ၏ကျေးဇူး တော်ကို ငွေ နှင့်ဝယ်ယူ မည် ဟု အကြံရှိ သောကြောင့် ၊ သင် နှင့်တကွ သင် ၏ ငွေ သည်ပျက်စီး ခြင်းသို့ ရောက် ပါစေ။
21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
၂၁သင် သည်ဤ အမှုအရာ နှင့် မ ဆက်ဆံ သော သူဖြစ် ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ သင် ၏စိတ် နှလုံးသည် ဘုရားသခင့် ရှေ့ တော်၌ ဖြောင့်မတ် ခြင်းမ ရှိ ။
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
၂၂ထိုကြောင့် သင် ၌ ယခု ဆိုးညစ် သောအမှု ကို နောင်တရ လော့။ သင် ၏စိတ် နှလုံး၌ကြံစည် ခြင်းအပြစ်ကို လွှတ်ကောင်း လွှတ် လိမ့်မည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ဘုရားသခင် ကို တောင်းပန် လော့။
23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and [in] the bond of iniquity.
၂၃သင် သည်ခါး စွာသောသည်းခြေ စွဲသည်ဖြစ်၍ ၊ ဒုစရိုက် အနှောင်အဖွဲ့ နှင့်မလွတ်ကြောင်းကို ငါသိမြင် သည်ဟုဆို ၏။
24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.
၂၄ရှိမုန် ကလည်း၊ မိန့် တော်မူသောအရာ တစ်စုံတစ်ခု မျှ အကျွန်ုပ် အပေါ်သို့ မရောက် ပါမည် အကြောင်း ၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရားကို ကျွန်ုပ် အဘို့ အလိုငှာ ဆုတောင်း တော်မူကြပါဟု ပြန်ပြော ၏။
25 And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.
၂၅တမန်တော် တို့သည် သက်သေခံ ၍ သခင်ဘုရား ၏နှုတ်ကပတ် တရားတော်ကိုဟော ပြီးမှ၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့ သို့ ပြန်သွား ရာ၊ ရှမာရိ ရွာ များ တို့၌လည်း ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို ဟောပြော ကြ၏။
26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
၂၆တဖန် ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန် သည် ဖိလိပ္ပု အား ၊ သင်ထ ၍ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့မှ ဂါဇ မြို့ သို့ သွား ရာ တော လမ်း တွင် တောင် မျက်နှာသို့ သွား လော့ ဟု ဆို သည်အတိုင်း ၊ ဖိလိပ္ပုသည်ထ ၍ သွား လေ၏။
27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
၂၇ထိုအခါ အဲသယောပိ ပြည်ကိုအစိုးရ သော မိဖုရား ကန္ဒက် ထံ၌ဘုန်းကြီးသောအမတ်ဖြစ်၍၊ ဘဏ္ဍာ တော်ရှိသမျှ ကို အုပ်စိုး ရသော အဲသယောပိ ပြည်သားတစ်ယောက်သည် ကိုးကွယ် ခြင်းငှာယေရုရှလင် မြို့ သို့ သွား ၍၊
28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.
၂၈ပြန် စဉ်တွင် မိမိ ရထား ပေါ်၌ ထိုင် လျက် ပရောဖက် ဟေရှာယ ၏ ကျမ်းစာကိုဖတ် လေ၏။
29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
၂၉ဝိညာဉ် တော်ကလည်း၊ ထို ရထား သို့ ချဉ်းကပ် ၍ မှီဝဲ လော့ဟု ဖိလိပ္ပု အား ဗျာဒိတ် ပေးတော်မူသဖြင့်၊
30 And Philip ran thither to [him], and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
၃၀ဖိလိပ္ပု သည် ရထားသို့ပြေး ၍ ပရောဖက် ဟေရှာယ ၏ ကျမ်းစာ၌ ဘတ် သည်ကိုကြား လျှင်၊ ဘတ် သောအရာ ကို နားလည် ပါ၏ လောဟု မေးမြန်း ၏။
31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
၃၁ထိုအမတ်ကလည်း၊ သွန်သင် ပဲ့ပြင်သော သူ မ ရှိလျှင် အဘယ်သို့ နားလည်နိုင် မည်နည်းဟု ဆို ပြီးမှ မိမိ နှင့်အတူ ဖိလိပ္ပု တက် ၍ထိုင် နေ ပါမည်အကြောင်း တောင်းပန် ၏။
32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
၃၂ကျမ်းစာ ၌ ဘတ် သောအချက် ဟူမူကား၊ အသေ သတ် ခြင်းငှာ ဆောင်သွားသော သိုး ကဲ့သို့ သူ့ကို ဆောင်သွား ၍ ၊ သိုးသငယ် သည် အမွေးညှပ် သောသူ ရှေ့ မှာ မ မြည်ဘဲ နေသကဲ့သို့ သူ သည်နှုတ် ကိုမ ဖွင့် ဘဲနေ၏။
33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
၃၃နှိမ့်ချ ခြင်းကိုခံစဉ်တွင်သူတစ်ပါးတို့သည် ထိုသူ ကို မတရား သဖြင့်စီရင် ကြ၏။ ထိုသူ ၏အသက် ကို မြေကြီး ကသိမ်းရုပ် သည်ဖြစ်၍ ၊ သူ ၏အမျိုးအနွယ် ကို အဘယ်သူ ပြညွှန် မည်နည်းဟု ကျမ်းစာလာသတည်း။
34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?
၃၄ထိုအမတ်ကလည်း၊ ပရောဖက် သည် အဘယ်သူ ကို ရည်မှတ် ၍ ဤသို့ ဆို ပါသနည်း။ ကိုယ် ကိုတည်း ဆိုလို သလော။ သူတစ်ပါး ကိုတည်း ဆိုလို သလောဟု တောင်းပန် လျက်၊
35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
၃၅ဖိလိပ္ပု အား မေးမြန်း လျှင်၊ ဖိလိပ္ပု သည် မိမိ နှုတ် ကိုဖွင့် ၍ ထို ကျမ်းစာချက်ကို အစွဲပြုလျက်၊ ယေရှု ၏အကြောင်းတည်းဟူသောဧဝံဂေလိ တရားကို ဟောလေ၏။
36 And as they went on [their] way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, [here is] water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
၃၆ထိုသို့ လမ်း ၌သွား ကြစဉ် ရေ ရှိရာသို့ ရောက် ၍၊ အမတ် ကလည်း ဤအရပ်တွင်ရေ ရှိပါ၏။ အကျွန်ုပ် ကို ဗတ္တိဇံ မခံစေခြင်းငှာမည်သည့် အကြောင်းဆီးတား ပါသနည်းဟု ပြောဆို လျှင် ၊
37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
၃၇ဖိလိပ္ပုက၊ သင်သည် စိတ်နှလုံးအကြွင်းမဲ့ယုံကြည်လျှင် ခံရသည် ဟုဆိုလေ၏။ အမတ်ကလည်း၊ ယေရှုခရစ်သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ သားတော်ဖြစ်တော်မူကြောင်းကို အကျွန်ုပ်ယုံကြည်ပါသည်ဟု ဝန်ခံ၍၊
38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
၃၈ရထား ကိုရပ် စေခြင်းငှာစီရင် ပြီးမှ ၊ ဖိလိပ္ပု သည် ထိုအမတ် နှင့်တကွ ရေ ထဲသို့ ဆင်း ၍ ဗတ္တိဇံ ကိုပေး၏။
39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
၃၉ရေ ထဲက တက် ကြလျှင် ၊ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏ ဝိညာဉ် တော်သည် ဖိလိပ္ပု ကိုဆောင်ယူ တော်မူ၍ ၊ အမတ် သည် ဖိလိပ္ပု ကို နောက်တဖန်မ တွေ့ မမြင်ရ။ ဝမ်းမြောက် ဝမ်းသာခြင်းနှင့် မိမိ သွားရသောလမ်း ကို သွား လေ၏။
40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Cæsarea.
၄၀ဖိလိပ္ပု သည်လည်း အာဇုတ် မြို့၌ ပေါ်လာ၍၊ ထိုမြို့မှကဲသရိ မြို့တိုင်အောင်မြို့ ရွာအစဉ်အတိုင်း ရှောက်သွား ၍ ဧဝံဂေလိ တရားကို ဟောလေ၏။
