Acts 18
1 After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
၁ထိုနောက် ပေါလုသည် အာသင် မြို့မှ ထွက်သွား ကောရိန္သု မြို့သို့ ရောက် လေ၏။
2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome: ) and came unto them.
၂ထိုအခါ ယုဒ လူအပေါင်း တို့သည် ရောမ မြို့မှ ထွက်သွား ရမည်အကြောင်း၊ ကလောဒိ မင်း အမိန့် တော်ရှိ သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ပုန္တု ပြည်သားအာကုလ အမည် ရှိသော ယုဒ လူတစ် ယောက်သည် ဣတလိ ပြည်မှ လာ၍၊ မိမိ မယား ပြစ်ကိလ နှင့်တကွ မကြာမမြင့်မှီ ရောက်လာ သည်ကို ပေါလုတွေ့ လျှင်သူ တို့ဆီသို့ဝင် ၍၊
3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
၃အလုပ် ချင်းတူသောကြောင့် ၊ သူ တို့နှင့် နေ ၍ အလုပ်လုပ် လေ၏။ ထိုသူတို့သည် တဲရှင် ကိုချုပ်တတ် သော အချုပ်သမား ဖြစ် ကြ၏။
4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
၄ပေါလုသည်လည်း ဥပုသ်နေ့ မပြတ် တရားစရပ် ၌ ဆွေးနွေး ဟောပြော၍၊ ယုဒ လူနှင့် ဟေလသ လူတို့ကို ဖြားယောင်း သွေးဆောင်လေ၏။
5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews [that] Jesus [was] Christ.
၅သိလ နှင့် တိမောသေ တို့သည် မာကေဒေါနိ ပြည်မှ ရောက်လာ သောအခါ ၊ ပေါလု သည် သူတို့နှင့်တကွတရား ဟောခြင်းအမှုကိုသာ ဆောင်ရွက် ၍၊ ယေရှု ခရစ် ၏ အကြောင်းကို ယုဒ လူတို့အား ကြိုးစား၍ သက်သေခံ လေ၏။
6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook [his] raiment, and said unto them, Your blood [be] upon your own heads; I [am] clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
၆ယုဒလူတို့သည် ငြင်းခုံ ဆဲရေးခြင်းကို ပြုသည် ရှိသော်၊ ပေါလု သည် မိမိအဝတ် ကိုခါ လိုက်လျက်၊ သင် တို့၏ အသွေး သည် သင် တို့၏ ခေါင်း ပေါ်၌ တည်စေ။ ငါ မူကား ကင်းလွတ် ၏။ ယခု မှစ၍ တစ်ပါး အမျိုးသားတို့ဆီသို့ သွား မည်ဟု ဆိုပြီးလျှင်၊
7 And he departed thence, and entered into a certain [man’s] house, named Justus, [one] that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.
၇ထို အရပ်မှထွက် ၍ ဘုရားသခင် ကို ကိုးကွယ် သော ယုတ္တု အမည် ရှိသောသူ ၏ အိမ် သို့ သွား ၏။ ထိုအိမ် သည် တရားစရပ် နှင့် စပ် လျက်ရှိ သတည်း။
8 And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.
၈ကရိပ္ပု အမည်ရှိသောတရားစရပ်မှူး သည် မိမိအိမ်သူ အိမ်သားအပေါင်း တို့နှင့်တကွ သခင် ဘုရားကို ယုံကြည် လေ၏။ ကောရိန္တု ပြည်သားအများ တို့သည် လည်း ယုံကြည် ၍ ဗတ္တိဇံ ကိုခံကြ၏။
9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:
၉ညဉ့် အခါ သခင် ဘုရားသည် ပေါလု အား ဗျာဒိတ် ရူပါရုံကိုပြ၍၊ သင်သည်မ ကြောက် နှင့်။ တိတ်ဆိတ် စွာမ နေနှင့်။ ဟောပြော လော့။
10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.
၁၀ငါ သည်သင် နှင့်အတူ ရှိ ၏။ သင့် ကိုညှဉ်းဆဲ ခြင်းငှာအဘယ်သူ မျှအနိုင် အထက်မပြုရ။ ဤ မြို့ ၌ ငါ ၏ လူ အများ ရှိ ကြသည်ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
11 And he continued [there] a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
၁၁ပေါလုသည် ထိုမြို့သူ မြို့သားတို့အား ဘုရားသခင် ၏ နှုတ်ကပတ် တရားတော်ကို ဟောပြော သွန်သင်၍တနှစ် နှင့် ခြောက် လ ပတ်လုံးနေ လေ၏။
12 And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,
၁၂အခါယ ပြည်ကို ဂါလျုန် မင်းသည် ဝန် အရာနှင့် အုပ်စိုးသောအခါယုဒ လူများသည် တစ် ညီတစ်ညွတ်တည်း ပေါလု ကို အနိုင်အထက် ပြု၍ တရားပလ္လင် ရှေ့ သို့ ယူသွား ပြီးလျှင်၊
13 Saying, This [fellow] persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law.
၁၃လူ တို့သည် ဘုရား ကိုမတရား သဖြင့်ကိုးကွယ် စေခြင်းငှာ၊ ဤသူသည် ဖြားယောင်း တတ်ပါသည် ဟုဆို ကြ၏။
14 And when Paul was now about to open [his] mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O [ye] Jews, reason would that I should bear with you:
၁၄ပေါလု သည် နှုတ် ကိုဖွင့် မည်ပြုသော်၊ ဂါလျူန် မင်းက၊ အချင်း ယုဒ လူတို့၊ မတရားသောအမှု ၊ ဆိုးယုတ် ညစ်ညူး သောအမှုဖြစ် လျှင် ၊ ငါသည်သင် တို့ကို အကြောင်း ရှိ သည်အတိုင်း သည်းခံ ရမည်။
15 But if it be a question of words and names, and [of] your law, look ye [to it]; for I will be no judge of such [matters].
၁၅သို့မဟုတ်စကား သော်၎င်း၊ ခေါ်ဝေါ် သမုတ်ခြင်းသော်၎င်း၊ သင် တို့၏ဘာသာတရား သော်၎င်း၊ သင်တို့သည်အစီရင်ခံ လျှင် ကိုယ်အမှုကို စောင့်ကြလော့။ ထိုသို့သော အမှုကိုစီရင်ခြင်းငှာငါ အလို မ ရှိ ဟုဆိုလျက်၊
16 And he drave them from the judgment seat.
၁၆ယုဒ လူတို့ကို တရားပလ္လင် မှ ပယ်ရှား စေ၏။
17 Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat [him] before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for none of those things.
၁၇ထိုအခါဟေလသလူအပေါင်း တို့သည် တရားစရပ်မှူး သုဿင် ကိုယူ ၍ တရားပလ္လင် ရှေ့ မှာ ရိုက် ကြ၏။ ထိုအမှု ကိုလည်း ဂါလျူန် မင်းသည် အမှု မ ထား ဘဲနေ၏။
18 And Paul [after this] tarried [there] yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn [his] head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow.
၁၈ထိုနောက်မှပေါလု သည် တာရှည် စွာနေ ပြီးမှညီအစ်ကို တို့ကို အခွင့် တောင်း၍ ထိုမြို့မှထွက်သွား ၏။ အထက်ကသစ္စာ ဂတိပြု သည်နှင့်အညီကင်ခြေ မြို့၌ ခေါင်း ရိတ် ခြင်းကိုခံပြီးလျှင်၊ ပြစ်ကိလ နှင့် အာကုလ ကို ခေါ်၍ ရှုရိပြည်သို့သင်္ဘောနှင့်လွှင့်လေ၏။
19 And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.
၁၉ဧဖက် မြို့သို့ ရောက် လျှင် ၊ တရားစရပ် သို့ ဝင် ၍ ယုဒ လူတို့နှင့် ဆွေးနွေး နှီးနှောလေ၏။
20 When they desired [him] to tarry longer time with them, he consented not;
၂၀ထိုသူ တို့သည် မိမိတို့နှင့်အတူပေါလု နေ ပါဦးမည်အကြောင်း တောင်းပန် သောအခါ ၊ ပေါလုသည် ဝန် မ ခံဘဲလျက်၊
21 But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.
၂၁ယခုရောက်လုနီးသောပွဲကိုယေရုရှလင်မြို့၌ ငါအမှန်ခံရမည်။ ဘုရားသခင် အလို တော်ရှိလျှင်၊ နောက်တစ်ဖန် သင် တို့ရှိရာ သို့ ငါပြန် ဦးမည်ဟူ၍အခွင့် တောင်းပြီးမှ ၊ ပြစ်ကိလနှင့်အာကုလကို ဧဖက် မြို့၌ ထား၍ သင်္ဘောနှင့်လွှင့် ပြန်လေ၏။
22 And when he had landed at Cæsarea, and gone up, and saluted the church, he went down to Antioch.
၂၂ကဲသရိ မြို့သို့ ရောက် လျှင် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သို့ တက် ၍ အသင်းတော် နှင့် နှုတ်ဆက် ပြီးမှအန္တိအုတ် မြို့ သို့ သွား ပြန်၏။
23 And after he had spent some time [there], he departed, and went over [all] the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.
၂၃ထိုမြို့၌ အတန် အရာနေ ပြီးလျှင် ၊ ထွက် ပြန်၍ ဂလာတိ ပြည် ၊ ဖြူဂိ ပြည်ကို အစဉ် အတိုင်း ရှောက်သွား သဖြင့်၊ တပည့် တော်အပေါင်း တို့ကို မြဲမြံ ခိုင်ခံ့စေ၏။
24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, [and] mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
၂၄အာပေါလု အမည် ရှိသော အာလေဇဒြိ မြို့သား ၊ ယုဒ လူ တစ် ယောက်သည် ဧဖက် မြို့သို့ ရောက်လာ ၏။ ထိုသူ သည် နှုတ် သတ္တိနှင့် ပြည့်စုံ၍ ကျမ်းစာ ၌ အားကြီး သောသူဖြစ် ၏။
25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
၂၅သခင် ဘုရား၏ဘာသာ ၌လေ့ကျက် ၍ စိတ် အားကြီး သဖြင့် ၊ သခင် ဘုရား၏ အကြောင်း များကို စေ့စေ့ ဟောပြော ၍ ဆုံးမ ဩဝါဒပေး၏။ သို့သော်လည်း၊ ယောဟန် ၏ ဗတ္တိဇံ ကိုသာ သိ ၏။
26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto [them], and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
၂၆ထိုသူ သည် တရားစရပ် ၌ ရဲရင့်စွာဟောပြော စ ပြုသဖြင့်၊ အာကုလ နှင့် ပြစ်ကိလ တို့သည် သူ ၏စကား ကို ကြားသောအခါ ၊ သူ့ ကိုယူ ၍ဘုရားသခင် ၏ ဘာသာ တရားကိုသာ၍ သေချာစွာသင်ကြား ကြ၏။
27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:
၂၇ထိုသူ သည် အခါယ ပြည်သို့ သွား ခြင်းငှာအလိုရှိ သည်ဖြစ်၍ ၊ တပည့် တော်ချင်းတို့သည် သူ့ ကိုလက်ခံ မည်အကြောင်း ညီအစ်ကို တို့သည်မှာစာ ကိုပေးလိုက်ကြ၏။ သူ သည်ရောက်လာ လျှင်၊ ကျေးဇူး တော်အားဖြင့် ယုံကြည် သော သူ တို့ကို အလွန် ထောက်မ လေ၏။
28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, [and that] publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.
၂၈ယေရှု သည်ခရစ်တော် ဖြစ် တော်မူကြောင်းကို ကျမ်းစာ အားဖြင့် ထင်ရှားစွာပြ ၍၊ လူ အပေါင်းတို့ရှေ့မှာ ယုဒ လူတို့၏စကားကို အားကြီး စွာ ပယ်ဖျက် လေ၏။
