2 Timothy 2
1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
१माझ्या मुला तू ख्रिस्त येशूच्या ठायी असलेल्या कृपेत बलवान हो.
2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
२माझ्याकडून ज्या गोष्टी तू पुष्कळ साक्षीदारांसमोर ऐकल्यास त्या घे व इतरांना शिकविण्यास समर्थ अशा विश्वासू लोकांस सोपवून दे.
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
३ख्रिस्त येशूचा चांगला सैनिक या नात्याने माझ्याबरोबर दुःख सोस.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
४सैनिकाचे काम करणारा कोणीही जीवनातील संसाराच्या कामकाजात अडकत नाही. यासाठी की त्यास आपल्या वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्याला संतुष्ट करता यावे.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, [yet] is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
५जर कोणी मल्ल युद्ध करतो, तर ते नियमाप्रमाणे केल्या वाचून त्यास मुकुट मिळत नाही.
6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
६कष्ट करणाऱ्या शेतकऱ्याने पहिल्याने पिकाचा वाटा घेणे योग्य आहे.
7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
७जे मी बोलतो ते समजून घे, कारण प्रभू तुला या सर्व गोष्टींची समज देईल.
8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
८माझ्या सुवार्तेप्रमाणे जो मरण पावलेल्यातून उठविलेला दाविदाच्या वंशातला येशू ख्रिस्त, याची आठवण कर.
9 Where in I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, [even] unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
९कारण त्या सुवार्तेमुळे मी दुःख सहन करत आहे, येथपर्यंत की गुन्हेगाराप्रमाणे साखळदंडानी मला बांधण्यात आले, पण देवाचे वचन बांधले गेले नाही.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (aiōnios g166)
१०ह्यामुळे देवाच्या निवडलेल्यांसाठी मी सर्वकाही धीराने सोशीत आहे, म्हणजे त्यांनाही ख्रिस्त येशूद्वारे मिळणारे तारण व सर्वकाळचे गौरव प्राप्त व्हावे. (aiōnios g166)
11 [It is] a faithful saying: For if we be dead with [him], we shall also live with [him]:
११हे वचन विश्वसनीय आहे की, जर आम्ही त्याच्यासह मरण पावलो, तर त्याच्याबरोबर जिवंतही राहू
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with [him]: if we deny [him], he also will deny us:
१२जर आम्ही दुःख सहन केले तर आम्ही त्याच्याबरोबर राज्यसुद्धा करू जर आम्ही त्यास नाकारले, तर तोसुध्दा आम्हास नाकारील
13 If we believe not, [yet] he abideth faithful: he can not deny himself.
१३जरी आम्ही अविश्वासू आहोत तरी तो अजूनही विश्वासू आहे कारण तो स्वतःला नाकारु शकत नाही.
14 Of these things put [them] in remembrance, charging [them] before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, [but] to the subverting of the hearers.
१४लोकांस या गोष्टीची आठवण करून देत राहा. देवासमोर त्यांना निक्षून ताकीद दे की, शब्दयुद्ध करू नका. असे भांडण कोणत्याही फायद्याचे नाही. जे कोणाच्याही उपयोगी न पडता ऐकणाऱ्यांच्या नाशास कारण होते.
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
१५तू सत्याचे वचन योग्य रीतीने सांगणारा असा आणि जे काम करतोस त्यामध्ये लाज वाटण्यासारखे काहीही कारण नसलेला देवास स्वीकृत असा कामकरी होण्याचा प्रयत्न कर.
16 But shun profane [and] vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
१६पण अमंगळपणाचा रिकामा वादविवाद टाळ कारण तो लोकांस देवापासून अधिकाधिक दूर नेतो.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
१७आणि अशाप्रकारे वादविवाद करणाऱ्यांची शिकवण कर्करोगासारखी पसरते. या लोकांमध्ये हूमनाय आणि फिलेत आहेत,
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
१८ते सत्यापासून दूर गेले आहेत. पुनरुत्थान होऊन गेले आहे असे ते म्हणतात आणि कित्येकांच्या विश्वासाचा नाश करीतात.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
१९तथापि देवाने घातलेला पाया स्थिर राहीला आहे, त्यास हा शिक्का आहे की, “प्रभू जे त्याचे आहेत त्यांना ओळखतो,” आणि “जो कोणी प्रभूचे नाव घेतो त्याने अनीतीपासून दूर रहावे.”
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
२०मोठ्या घरात केवळ सोन्याचांदीची भांडी असतात असे नाही तर लाकूड व माती यापासून बनवलेलीही असतात. काही सन्मानास व काही अवमानास नेमलेली असतात.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, [and] prepared unto every good work.
२१म्हणून जर कोणी त्यापासून दूर राहून स्वतःला शुद्ध करील, तर तो पवित्र केलेले, मालकाला उपयोगी पडणारे, प्रत्येक चांगल्या कामास तयार केलेले असे मानाचे पात्र होईल.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
२२पण तरुणपणाच्या वासनांपासून दूर पळ आणि जे प्रभूला शुद्ध अंतःकरणाने हाक मारतात व प्रभूवर विश्वास ठेवतात, अशांच्या बरोबर, नीतिमत्त्व, विश्वास, प्रीती आणि शांती यांच्यामागे लाग.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
२३परंतु मूर्खपणाच्या व अज्ञानाच्या वादविवादापासून दूर राहा कारण तुला माहीत आहे की, त्यामुळे भांडणे निर्माण होतात.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all [men], apt to teach, patient,
२४देवाच्या सेवकाने भांडू नये, तर सर्व लोकांशी सौम्यतेने वागावे, तसेच शिक्षणात कुशल व सहनशील असावे.
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
२५जे त्यास विरोध करतात, त्यांना लीनतेने शिक्षण द्यावे कदाचित त्यांनी खरेपण जाणावे म्हणून देव त्यांना पश्चात्ताप करण्याची बुद्धी देईल.
26 And [that] they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
२६आणि सैतानाने आपल्या इच्छेप्रमाणे पकडून नेलेले त्याच्या फासातून सुटून शुद्धीवर येतील.
