< 2 Thessalonians 3 >
1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have [free] course, and be glorified, even as [it is] with you:
ⲁ̅ⲧⲟ ⲗⲟⲓⲡⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲛ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲧⲱⲃϩ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲱⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲡⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲙⲠ⳪ ϭⲟϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥϭⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲉϥϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ.
2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all [men] have not faith.
ⲃ̅ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲛ ⳿ⲫⲛⲁϩϯ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲫⲁ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ.
3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep [you] from evil.
ⲅ̅⳿ϥⲉⲛϩⲟⲧ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲧⲁϫⲣⲉ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲁⲣⲉϩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ⲡⲓⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ.
4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
ⲇ̅ⲡⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲑⲏⲧ ϧⲉⲛ Ⲡ⳪ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲉⲁⲓⲧⲟⲩ.
5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
ⲉ̅Ⲡ⳪ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲥⲟⲩⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯϩⲩⲡⲟⲙⲟⲛⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
ⲋ̅ⲧⲉⲛϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲛ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲛ⳪ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉⲑⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣϥ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲥⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲑⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲁⲧⲥⲃⲱ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲛⲏ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲧⲁⲛⲧⲏ ⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ.
7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
ⲍ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧ⳿ⲥⲉⲙ⳿ⲡϣⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲓⲛⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲛ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲁⲧ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ.
8 Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲓⲕ ⳿ⲛϫⲓⲛϫⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϧⲓⲥⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲉⲛⲉⲣϩⲱⲃ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲉϫⲱⲣϩ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙⲟⲩⲁϩⲃⲁⲣⲟⲥ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ.
9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
ⲑ̅ⲟⲩⲭ ⲟⲧⲓ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲧⲏⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲩⲡⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲓⲛⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ.
10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
ⲓ̅ⲕⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ⲉⲛⲭⲏ ϧⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲫⲁⲓ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲛϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲛ⳿ϥⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲉⲉⲣϩⲱⲃ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲛ⳿ⲑⲣⲉϥⲉⲣ⳿ⲡⲕⲉⲟⲩⲱⲙ.
11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲁⲧ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲉⲣ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⳿ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲩⲟⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲓⲉⲣⲅⲟⲥ.
12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲧⲉⲛϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲛϯϩⲟ ϧⲉⲛ Ⲡ⳪ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉⲙⲣⲁⲩϣ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲩϩⲱⲃ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲱⲓⲕ.
13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲛ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲉⲣ⳿ⲛⲕⲁⲕⲓⲛ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲡⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ.
14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁ ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲙⲁ ⲙⲏⲓⲛⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙⲙⲟⲩϫⲧ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥϣⲓⲡⲓ.
15 Yet count [him] not as an enemy, but admonish [him] as a brother.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲛ⳿ⲑⲣⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩϫⲁϫⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲟⲛ ⲙⲁ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲁϥ.
16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord [be] with you all.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉϯ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛϯϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⳿ⲛⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲥⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ Ⲡ⳪ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ.
17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲡⲁⲁⲥⲡⲁⲥⲙⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲁϫⲓϫ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲏⲓⲛⲓ ⲡⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ϯ⳿ⲥϧⲁⲓ.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.
