2 Thessalonians 3
1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have [free] course, and be glorified, even as [it is] with you:
সবশেষে বলি, ভাইবোনেরা, আমাদের জন্য প্রার্থনা করো, যেন প্রভুর বাণী দ্রুত ছড়িয়ে পড়ে এবং সসম্মানে গৃহীত হয়, যেমন তোমাদের ক্ষেত্রে হয়েছিল।
2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all [men] have not faith.
আর প্রার্থনা করো, দুষ্ট ও নীচ লোকদের হাত থেকে আমরা যেন নিষ্কৃতি পাই, কারণ প্রত্যেকের যে বিশ্বাস আছে, এমন নয়,
3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep [you] from evil.
কিন্তু প্রভু বিশ্বস্ত। তিনি তোমাদের শক্তি দেবেন এবং সেই পাপাত্মা থেকে রক্ষা করবেন।
4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
তোমাদের সম্পর্কে প্রভুতে আমাদের এই দৃঢ়প্রত্যয় আছে যে, আমাদের সমস্ত আদেশ, যা তোমরা পালন করছ, তা করে যাবে।
5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
প্রভু তোমাদের হৃদয়কে ঈশ্বরের প্রেমের পথে এবং খ্রীষ্টের ধৈর্যের পথে চালিত করুন।
6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
ভাইবোনেরা, প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের নামে আমরা তোমাদের আদেশ দিচ্ছি, যে ভাই অলস এবং আমাদের শিক্ষা অনুযায়ী জীবনযাপন করে না, তার সঙ্গ ত্যাগ করো।
7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
কারণ তোমরা নিজেরা জানো, কীভাবে আমাদের আদর্শ অনুকরণ করতে তোমরা বাধ্য। তোমাদের সঙ্গে থাকার সময় আমরা আলস্যে কাল কাটাইনি;
8 Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
অথবা বিনামূল্যে আমরা কারও খাবার গ্রহণ করিনি। বরং আমরা যেন তোমাদের কারও কাছে বোঝা না হই, সেজন্য দিনরাত কাজ করেছি, কঠোর পরিশ্রম ও কষ্ট করেছি।
9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
এই সাহায্য লাভের অধিকার যে আমাদের নেই, তা নয়, কিন্তু তোমরা যেন অনুসরণ করো, সেজন্য নিজেদের এক আদর্শরূপে স্থাপন করেছি।
10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
কারণ তোমাদের সঙ্গে থাকার সময়েও আমরা তোমাদের এই নিয়ম দিয়েছি, “যদি কেউ পরিশ্রম না করে, সে আহারও করবে না।”
11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
আমরা শুনতে পাচ্ছি, তোমাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ অলস হয়ে পড়েছে। তারা কর্মব্যস্ত নয়; পরের ব্যাপারে অনর্থক চর্চায় তারা সবসময় ব্যস্ত।
12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
এরকম লোকদের আমরা প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টে নির্দেশ ও উপদেশ দিচ্ছি, যেন তারা শান্তভাব বজায় রেখে পরিশ্রম করে এবং তাদের খাবারের সংস্থান করে।
13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
আর ভাইবোনেরা, তোমাদের আরও বলছি, সৎকর্ম করতে কখনও ক্লান্তিবোধ কোরো না।
14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
এই পত্রে উল্লিখিত আমাদের নির্দেশ কেউ যদি অমান্য করে, তাকে চিহ্নিত করে রেখো। তার সংস্পর্শে থেকো না, যেন সে লজ্জাবোধ করতে পারে।
15 Yet count [him] not as an enemy, but admonish [him] as a brother.
তবুও, তাকে শত্রু বলে মনে কোরো না, বরং ভাই বা বোন হিসেবে তাকে সতর্ক কোরো।
16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord [be] with you all.
এখন শান্তির প্রভু স্বয়ং তোমাদের সর্বদা এবং সর্বতোভাবে শান্তি দান করুন। প্রভু তোমাদের সকলের সঙ্গে থাকুন।
17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
আমি পৌল, নিজের হাতে এই অভিনন্দনবাণী লিখছি। আমার সমস্ত পত্রের এটিই বিশেষ চিহ্ন। এভাবেই আমি লিখে থাকি।
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.
আমাদের প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের অনুগ্রহ তোমাদের সকলের সঙ্গী হোক।
