2 Thessalonians 2

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and [by] our gathering together unto him,

弟兄們，關於我們的主耶穌基督的來臨，和們聚集到衪的事，我們請你們，

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

不要因什麼神恩，或什麼言論，或什麼似乎出於我們的書信，好像說主的日子迫了，就迅速失去了理智，驚慌失惜。

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

不要任讓人用任何方法欺騙你們，因為在那日子來臨前，必有背叛之事，那無法無天的人．即喪亡之子必先出現。

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

他即是敵對者，他高舉自己在各種稱為神或受崇拜者以上，以致要坐在天主的殿中，宣佈自己是神。

5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

你們不記得我還在你們那裡時，給你們說過這些事嗎﹖

6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

你們也知道現今那阻止他在自己的時辰才出現的是什麼。

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way.

罪惡的陰謀已經在活動，只待這活動者一由中間除去，

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

那時那無法無天的人就要出現，主耶穌要以自己口中的氣息將他殺死，且以自己來臨的顯現把他消滅。

9 [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

那人來到，依靠撒旦的力量，具有各種德能，行欺騙人的奇能異事，

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

並以各種邪惡諞術，煽惑那些喪亡的人，因為他們沒有接受愛慕真理之心，為獲得拯救。

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

為此，天主使一種錯誤的信念在他們身上運行，叫他們相信荒謬，

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

使一切不信真理而喜歡違法的人，被定罪受罰。

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

主所愛的弟兄們，我們該當時常為你們感謝天主，因為天主從起初就揀選了你們，藉聖神的祝聖和信從真理而得到拯救。

14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

為此，衪也藉著我們宣講的福音召叫了你們，為獲得我們的主耶穌基督的光榮。

15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

所以，弟兄們，你們要站立穩定，要堅持你們或由我們的言論，或由我們的書信所學得的傳授。

16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given [us] everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, (aiōnios g166)

願我們的主耶穌基督，和那愛我們，並開恩將永遠的安慰和美好的希望，賜與我們的父天主， (aiōnios g166)

17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

鼓勵你們的心，並在和種善工善言上，堅固你們。
