2 Samuel 21
1 Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, [It is] for Saul, and for [his] bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.
১দায়ূদৰ ৰাজত্ব কালত ক্ৰমান্বয়ে তিনি বছৰলৈকে আকাল হ’ল আৰু সেয়ে দায়ুদে যিহোৱাক বিচাৰিলে৷ তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই ক’লে, “চৌল আৰু তেওঁৰ ৰক্তপাতী বংশৰ কাৰণে এই আকাল তোমালৈ হৈছে কিয়নো তেওঁ গিবিয়োনীয়া লোকসকলক বধ কৰিলে।”
2 And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites [were] not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)
২সেই সময়ত গিবিয়োনীয়া সকল ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলৰ মাজৰ নাছিল; কিন্তু ইমোৰীয়া সকলৰ অৱশিষ্ট থকা ভাগৰ লোক৷ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলে তেওঁলোকক বধ নকৰিবলৈ শপত কৰিলে কিন্তু চৌলে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলৰ আৰু যিহূদাৰ পক্ষে উদ্যোগী হৈ তেওঁলোকক বধ কৰিবলৈ চেষ্টা কৰিছিল।
3 Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD?
৩সেই কাৰণে দায়ূদে গিবিয়োনীয়া সকলক একেলগে মাতি আনি ক’লে, “মই আপোনালোকৰ বাবে কি কৰিম? আপোনালোকে যেন যিহোৱাৰ সেই দয়া আৰু বিশ্ৱাসৰ উত্তৰাধিকাৰী সকলক আশীৰ্ব্বাদ কৰে তাৰ বাবে মই কেনেকৈ প্ৰায়শ্চিত্ত কৰিম?”
4 And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, [that] will I do for you.
৪তেতিয়া গিবিয়োনীয়া সকলে তেওঁক ক’লে, “চৌল কি তেওঁৰ বংশৰ সৈতে আমাৰ ৰূপ বা সোণৰ বিষয়ে বিবাদ নাই আৰু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ মাজত কোনো লোকক বধ কৰা আমাৰ কাম নহয়।” দায়ূদে উত্তৰ দি ক’লে, “আপোনালোকে যিয়ে বিচাৰে মই সেয়াই আপোনালোকৰ বাবে কৰিম।”
5 And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us [that] we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel,
৫তাতে তেওঁলোকে ৰজাক ক’লে, “যি মানুহ জনে আমাক সংহাৰ কৰিছিল আৰু আমি বিনষ্ট হৈ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সীমাৰ মাজৰ কোনো প্ৰদেশত অৱশিষ্ট নাথাকিবৰ কাৰণে আমাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে কু-মন্ত্ৰণা কৰিছিল -
6 Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, [whom] the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give [them].
৬সেই মানুহ জনৰ বংশধৰ মাজৰ সাত জন লোকক আমাৰ হাতত সমৰ্পণ কৰি দিয়া হওঁক তাতে আমি যিহোৱা মনোনীত লোক চৌলৰ, গিবিয়াত যিহোৱা উদ্দেশে আৰি থম।” তেতিয়া ৰজাই ক’লে, “মই তোমালোকলৈ তেওঁলোকক সমর্পণ কৰিম।”
7 But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD’s oath that [was] between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
৭কিন্তু দায়ুদৰ আৰু চৌলৰ পুত্ৰ যোনাথনৰ মাজত যিহোৱাৰ নামেৰে শপতৰ কাৰণে, ৰজাই চৌলৰ নাতিয়েক যোনাথনৰ পুত্ৰ মফিবোচতক দয়া কৰি ৰক্ষা কৰিলে।
8 But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:
৮কিন্তু অয়াৰ জীয়েক ৰিস্পাই চৌলৰ ঔৰসত অৰ্মণী আৰু মফীবোচৎ নামেৰে যি দুজন পুত্ৰক জন্ম দিছিল আৰু মহোলাতীয়া বাৰ্জিল্লয়ৰ পুতেক অদ্ৰীয়েলৰ ঔৰসত চৌলৰ জীয়েক মীখলে যি পাঁচোটা পুত্ৰ জন্ম দিছিল, এই সকলক ল’লে।
9 And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell [all] seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first [days], in the beginning of barley harvest.
৯দায়ূদে তেওঁলোকক গিবিয়োনীয়া সকলৰ হাতত শোধাই দিলে৷ তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে পৰ্বতত যিহোৱাৰ সন্মুখত তেওঁলোকক আৰি হ’ল; আৰু তাতে সেই সাত জনৰ একে সময়তে মৃত্যু হ’ল। শস্য দাবৰ কালত অৰ্থাৎ যৱ ধান দাবলৈ আৰম্ভ কৰা কালতে তেওঁলোকক বধ কৰা হ’ল।
10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.
১০পাছত অয়াৰ জীয়েক ৰিস্পাই চট কাপোৰ লৈ, শস্য দোৱাৰ আৰম্ভণৰে পৰা তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰত আকাশৰ পৰা বৰষুণ নপৰালৈকে শিলৰ ওপৰত নিজৰ কাৰণে সেই চটখন পাৰি ল’লে। তাই দিনত আকাশৰ চৰাইবোৰক তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰত পৰিব নিদিলে আৰু ৰাতি বনৰীয়া জন্তুক ওচৰলৈ আহিব নিদিলে।
11 And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.
১১পাছত চৌলৰ উপপত্নী অয়াৰ জীয়েক ৰিস্পাই যি কাৰ্য কৰিছিল তাক দায়ুদক জনোৱা গ’ল।
12 And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabesh-gilead, which had stolen them from the street of Beth-shan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:
১২তেতিয়া পলেষ্টীয়া সকলে গিলবোৱাত চৌলক বধ কৰা দিনা, চৌল আৰু তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ যোনাথনক আৰি থোৱা বৈৎচানৰ চকৰ পৰা, তেওঁলোকৰ হাড় চুৰ কৰি অনা যাবেচ-গিলিয়দৰ গৃহস্থসকলৰ হাতৰ পৰা দায়ূদে সেইবোৰ লৈ আনিলে৷
13 And he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged.
১৩তেওঁ সেই ঠাইৰ পৰা চৌলৰ আৰু তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ যোনাথনৰ হাড়বোৰ আনিলে আৰু তেওঁলোকে আৰি থোৱা সেই সাতজন লোকসকলৰো হাড়বোৰ গোটাই হ’ল।
14 And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was intreated for the land.
১৪তেওঁলোকে চৌল আৰু তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ যোনাথনৰ হাড়বোৰ বিন্যামীন দেশৰ চেলাত চৌলৰ পিতৃ কীচৰ মৈদামত মৈদাম দিলে৷ তেওঁলোকে ৰজাৰ আজ্ঞা অনুসাৰে সকলো কাৰ্য কৰিলে। তাৰ পাছত ঈশ্বৰে দেশৰ বাবে তেওঁলোকৰ প্ৰাৰ্থনা গ্ৰহণ কৰিলে।
15 Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint.
১৫তেতিয়া পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ লগত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ আকৌ যুদ্ধ লাগিল৷ সেই বাবে দায়ূদে নিজৰ সৈন্যসকলৰ সৈতে নামি গৈ পেলেষ্টীয়া সকলৰ সৈতে যুদ্ধ কৰিলে৷ তাতে দায়ুদ ক্লান্ত হ’ল।
16 And Ishbi-benob, which [was] of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear [weighed] three hundred [shekels] of brass in weight, he being girded with a new [sword], thought to have slain David.
১৬এনে সময়ত তিনিশ চেকল জোখৰ পিতলৰ বৰছা ধৰা আৰু নতুন তৰোৱালেৰে সাজু হোৱা যিচবী-বনোব নামেৰে ৰফাৰ এজন সন্তানে দায়ূদক বধ কৰিবলৈ মন কৰিলে।
17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel.
১৭কিন্তু চৰূয়াৰ পুত্ৰ অবীচয়ে তেওঁক ৰক্ষা কৰি সেই পলেষ্টীয়া জনক আঘাত কৰি তেওঁক বধ কৰিলে। তেতিয়া দায়ূদৰ লোকসকলে তেওঁৰ আগত শপত কৰি ক’লে, “ইস্ৰায়েলৰ প্ৰদীপ নুনুমাবৰ কাৰণে আপুনি আমাৰ লগত আৰু যুদ্ধলৈ নাযাব।”
18 And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which [was] of the sons of the giant.
১৮সেই যুদ্ধৰ পাছত আৰু এবাৰ গোবত পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ লগত যুদ্ধ হয়৷ সেই সময়ত হূচাতীয়া চিব্বকয়ে চফ নামেৰে ৰফাৰ এজন সন্তানক বধ কৰিলে।
19 And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, a Beth-lehemite, slew [the brother of] Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear [was] like a weaver’s beam.
১৯পুনৰাই পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ সৈতে গোবত আকৌ যুদ্ধ হোৱাত, যাৰে-ওৰগীমৰ পুত্ৰ বৈৎলেহেমীয়া ইলহাননে গাতীয়া গলিয়াথক বধ কৰিলে যাৰ বৰছাৰটো কুৰা টোলোঠাৰ সমান আছিল।
20 And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of [great] stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
২০তাৰ পাছত আন এখন যুদ্ধ গাতত হয়৷ সেই যুদ্ধ অতি দীৰ্ঘকায় আৰু প্ৰত্যেক হাতে-ভৰি ছটা ছটা আঙুলি সৰ্বমুঠ চৌবিশটা আঙুলি থকা এজন লোক আছিল৷ তেওঁ ৰফাৰ এজন সন্তান আছিল।
21 And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea the brother of David slew him.
২১যেতিয়া তেওঁ ইস্ৰায়েলক ঠাট্টা-বিদ্ৰূপ কৰিলে, তেতিয়া দায়ূদৰ ককায়েক চিমিয়াৰ পুত্ৰ যোনাথনে তেওঁক বধ কৰিলে।
22 These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
২২এই লোকসকল গাতত ৰফাৰ সন্তান সকল আছিল আৰু তেওঁলোকক দায়ুদ আৰু তেওঁৰ সৈন্যসকলৰ হাতত বধ কৰা হ’ল।
