2 Kings 10
1 And Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, unto the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to them that brought up Ahab’s [children], saying,
౧అహాబుకి షోమ్రోనులో డెబ్భై మంది సంతానం ఉన్నారు. యెహూ షోమ్రోనులో ఉన్న యెజ్రెయేలు అధిపతులకూ, అక్కడి పెద్దలకూ, అహాబు సంతానం సంరక్షకులకూ ఉత్తరాలు రాసి పంపాడు.
2 Now as soon as this letter cometh to you, seeing your master’s sons [are] with you, and [there are] with you chariots and horses, a fenced city also, and armour;
౨ఆ ఉత్తరంలో ఇలా రాశాడు “మీ యజమాని వారసులు మీ దగ్గరే ఉన్నారు. మీ దగ్గర రథాలూ, గుర్రాలూ, ఆయుధాలూ ఉన్నాయి. అలాగే మీరు బలమైన ప్రాకారాలున్న పట్టణంలో ఉన్నారు.
3 Look even out the best and meetest of your master’s sons, and set [him] on his father’s throne, and fight for your master’s house.
౩కాబట్టి ఈ ఉత్తరం మీకు అందిన వెంటనే మీ యజమాని వారసుల్లో శ్రేష్ఠమైన వాణ్ణీ, యోగ్యుణ్ణీ ఎంపిక చేసి అతణ్ణి తన తండ్రి సింహాసనంపై కూర్చోబెట్టండి. మీ యజమాని రాజ వంశం కోసం యుద్ధం చేయండి.”
4 But they were exceedingly afraid, and said, Behold, two kings stood not before him: how then shall we stand?
౪కానీ వారు చాలా భయపడిపోయారు. “ఇద్దరు రాజులు యెహూ ఎదుట నిలవలేక పోయారు. మనమెట్లా నిలవగలం?” అని చెప్పుకున్నారు.
5 And he that [was] over the house, and he that [was] over the city, the elders also, and the bringers up [of the children], sent to Jehu, saying, We [are] thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any king: do thou [that which is] good in thine eyes.
౫అప్పుడు ఆ కుటుంబం బాధ్యతలు చూస్తున్న వ్యక్తీ, పట్టణం బాధ్యతలు చూస్తున్న వ్యక్తీ, పెద్దలూ, ఆ పిల్లలను పెంచిన వాళ్ళూ కలసి యెహూకి “మేము మీ సేవకులం. మీ ఆదేశాల ప్రకారమే అన్నీ చేస్తాం. మేము ఎవర్నీ రాజుగా చేసుకోం. మీకేది మంచిగా తోస్తే అదే చేయండి” అని జవాబు పంపారు.
6 Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, If ye [be] mine, and [if] ye will hearken unto my voice, take ye the heads of the men your master’s sons, and come to me to Jezreel by to morrow this time. Now the king’s sons, [being] seventy persons, [were] with the great men of the city, which brought them up.
౬అప్పుడు యెహూ రెండోసారి వాళ్లకు ఉత్తరం రాశాడు. దానిలో “మీరు నా వైపు ఉండి నా మాట వింటే మీ యజమాని వారసుల తలలు నరికి వాటితో రేపటికల్లా యెజ్రెయేలులో నా దగ్గరికి రండి” అని రాశాడు. రాకుమారులు మొత్తం డెబ్భై మంది ఆ పట్టణం పెద్దల సంరక్షణలో ఉన్నారు.
7 And it came to pass, when the letter came to them, that they took the king’s sons, and slew seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets, and sent him [them] to Jezreel.
౭కాబట్టి ఆ ఉత్తరం అందిన తరువాత వారు ఆ డెబ్భైమందినీ పట్టుకుని చంపేశారు. వాళ్ళ తలలను బుట్టల్లో ఉంచి యెజ్రెయేలులో ఉన్న యెహూ దగ్గరికి పంపించారు.
8 And there came a messenger, and told him, saying, They have brought the heads of the king’s sons. And he said, Lay ye them in two heaps at the entering in of the gate until the morning.
౮ఒక వార్తాహరుడు యెహూ దగ్గరికి వచ్చి “వారు రాకుమారుల తలలు తీసుకు వచ్చారు” అని చెప్పాడు. అతడు “వాటిని ఉదయం వరకూ పట్టణ ద్వారం దగ్గర రెండు కుప్పలుగా వేయండి” అన్నాడు.
9 And it came to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, Ye [be] righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?
౯ఉదయం అతడు బయటకు వచ్చి అక్కడ నిలబడి ఉన్న మనుషులను చూసి “మీరంతా నిర్దోషులు. నేను నా రాజు పై కుట్ర చేసి అతణ్ణి చంపేశాను. అయితే వీళ్ళనెవరు చంపారు?
10 Know now that there shall fall unto the earth nothing of the word of the LORD, which the LORD spake concerning the house of Ahab: for the LORD hath done [that] which he spake by his servant Elijah.
౧౦తన సేవకుడు ఏలీయా ద్వారా యెహోవా అహాబు కుటుంబాన్ని గురించి పలికిన మాటలను ఆయన నెరవేర్చాడు. యెహోవా అహాబు కుటుంబాన్ని గురించి పలికిన మాటల్లో ఏ ఒక్కటీ వ్యర్థంగా పోదని మీరు తెలుసుకోవాలి.”
11 So Jehu slew all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his kinsfolks, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.
౧౧ఈ విధంగా యెహూ యెజ్రెయేలులో ఉన్న అహాబు కుటుంబ సభ్యులందర్నీ, అతనితో సంబంధం ఉన్న ప్రముఖమైన వ్యక్తులనూ, అతనికి సన్నిహితమైన స్నేహితులనూ, అతని పూజారులు అందర్నీ చంపివేశాడు. అలాంటి వారు ఇక ఒక్కరు కూడా లేకుండా చేశాడు.
12 And he arose and departed, and came to Samaria. [And] as he [was] at the shearing house in the way,
౧౨ఇది జరిగాక అతడు షోమ్రోను పట్టణానికి ప్రయాణమయ్యాడు. దారిలో అతడు గొర్రెల బొచ్చు కత్తెర వేసే ఇంటికి దగ్గరలో ఉన్నప్పుడు
13 Jehu met with the brethren of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, Who [are] ye? And they answered, We [are] the brethren of Ahaziah; and we go down to salute the children of the king and the children of the queen.
౧౩యూదా రాజు అహజ్యా అన్నదమ్ములు ఎదురయ్యారు. యెహూ వాళ్ళను “మీరు ఎవరు?” అని అడిగాడు. వారు “మేము అహజ్యా అన్నదమ్ములం. మేము రాజు గారి పిల్లలనూ, రాణి యెజెబెలు పిల్లలనూ పలకరించడానికి వెళ్తున్నాం” అని చెప్పారు.
14 And he said, Take them alive. And they took them alive, and slew them at the pit of the shearing house, [even] two and forty men; neither left he any of them.
౧౪అతడు “వాళ్ళను ప్రాణాలతో పట్టుకోండి” అని తన వాళ్ళను ఆదేశించాడు. దాంతో వారు అందర్నీ సజీవంగా పట్టుకుని నలభై రెండు మందిని గొర్రెల బొచ్చు కత్తెర వేసే ఇంటికి దగ్గరలో ఉన్న ఒక బావి దగ్గర చంపారు. వాళ్ళలో ఒక్కణ్ణి కూడా ప్రాణాలతో వదిలిపెట్టలేదు.
15 And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechab [coming] to meet him: and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thine heart right, as my heart [is] with thy heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give [me] thine hand. And he gave [him] his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.
౧౫అక్కడనుండి యెహూ ముందుకు వెళ్ళాడు. తనను కలుసుకోడానికి వస్తున్న రేకాబు కొడుకు యెహోనాదాబుని చూశాడు. అతనితో మంచీ చెడూ మాట్లాడి “నా హృదయం నీ విషయంలో నిజాయితీగా ఉన్నట్టు నీ హృదయం నా విషయంలో ఉందా?” అని అడిగాడు. దానికి యెహోనాదాబు “ఉంది” అన్నాడు. యెహూ “ఆలాగైతే నా చేతిలో నీ చెయ్యి వేయి” అన్నాడు. యెహోనాదాబు యెహూ చేతిలో తన చెయ్యి వేశాడు. యెహూ అతణ్ణి తన రథం మీద ఎక్కించుకున్నాడు.
16 And he said, Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD. So they made him ride in his chariot.
౧౬యెహూ అతనితో “యెహోవా కోసం నాకు ఎంత ఉత్సాహం ఉందో చూద్దువుగాని రా” అన్నాడు. తన రథంలో అతణ్ణి కూర్చోబెట్టాడు.
17 And when he came to Samaria, he slew all that remained unto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which he spake to Elijah.
౧౭అతడు షోమ్రోను చేరుకుని అక్కడ అహాబుకు చెందిన మిగిలిన రాజవంశీకులందర్నీ చంపివేశాడు. యెహోవా ఏలీయాకు చెప్పిన మాట నెరవేర్చాడు.
18 And Jehu gathered all the people together, and said unto them, Ahab served Baal a little; [but] Jehu shall serve him much.
౧౮ఆ తరువాత యెహూ ప్రజలందర్నీ సమకూర్చాడు. వారితో “అహాబు బయలు దేవుతకి స్వల్పంగానే సేవ చేసాడు. కాని యెహూ ఎంతో గొప్ప సేవ చేయబోతున్నాడు.
19 Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice [to do] to Baal; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did [it] in subtilty, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.
౧౯కాబట్టి బయలు దేవుడి ప్రవక్తలందర్నీ, ఆరాధకులందర్నీ, పూజారులందర్నీ నా దగ్గరికి పిలుచుకు రండి. బయలు దేవుడికి ఒక మహా బలి చేయబోతున్నాను. కాబట్టి ఎవరూ రాకుండా ఉండిపోకూడదు. అలా రాని వాణ్ణి నేను బతకనివ్వను” అన్నాడు. బయలు ఆరాధకులందర్నీ చంపాలనే ఉద్దేశ్యంతో యెహూ ఈ మోసపూరితమైన ప్రకటన చేశాడు.
20 And Jehu said, Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal. And they proclaimed [it].
౨౦ఇంకా యెహూ “బయలు దేవుడికి ఒక ప్రత్యేకమైన పండగ జరుగబోతున్నదని ప్రకటించండి” అన్నాడు. అతని సేవకులు ఆ విధంగానే ప్రకటించారు.
21 And Jehu sent through all Israel: and all the worshippers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that came not. And they came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was full from one end to another.
౨౧యెహూ ఇశ్రాయేలు దేశం అన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లో ఈ ప్రకటన చేయించాడు. బయలు ఆరాధకులందరూ తరలి వచ్చారు. అక్కడకు రానివాడు అంటూ ఎవడూ లేడు. వాళ్ళంతా బయలు గుడిలో ప్రవేశించారు. ఆ పక్క నుండి ఈ పక్క వరకూ ఎక్కడా ఖాళీ లేకుండా గుడి కిక్కిరిసి పోయింది.
22 And he said unto him that [was] over the vestry, Bring forth vestments for all the worshippers of Baal. And he brought them forth vestments.
౨౨అక్కడ పూజారుల దుస్తులను దాచే అధికారిని యెహూ పిలిపించి “బయలు ఆరాధకులందరికీ ప్రత్యేక దుస్తులు తీసుకు రా” అని చెప్పాడు. అతడు ఆ దుస్తులను బయటకు తీసి తెప్పించాడు.
23 And Jehu went, and Jehonadab the son of Rechab, into the house of Baal, and said unto the worshippers of Baal, Search, and look that there be here with you none of the servants of the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only.
౨౩తరువాత యెహూ, రేకాబు కొడుకు యెహోనాదాబూ బయలు దేవుడి గుడిలో ప్రవేశించారు. అప్పుడు యెహూ “బాగా వెదకండి. బయలు దేవుడి ఆరాధకులు తప్ప ఇక్కడ యెహోవా సేవకులు ఎవరూ ఉండకుండాా జాగ్రత పడండి” అంటూ బయలు దేవుడి ఆరాధకులను ఆదేశించాడు.
24 And when they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings, Jehu appointed fourscore men without, and said, [If] any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, [he that letteth him go], his life [shall be] for the life of him.
౨౪అప్పుడు వాళ్ళంతా అర్పణలూ, దహనబలులూ చెల్లించడానికి లోపలి వెళ్ళారు. యెహూ తన మనుషుల్లో ఎనభై మందిని ఎంపిక చేసి వాళ్ళను బయట నిలబెట్టాడు. వాళ్ళతో “నేను మీ చేతికప్పగించిన వాళ్ళను ఎవర్నీ తప్పించుకు పోనివ్వద్దు. అలా ఎవడైనా తప్పించుకుంటే వాడి ప్రాణానికి బదులుగా వాడు తప్పించుకోడానికి కారణమైన వాడి ప్రాణం తీసుకుంటాను” అని చెప్పాడు.
25 And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, Go in, [and] slay them; let none come forth. And they smote them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast [them] out, and went to the city of the house of Baal.
౨౫దహనబలులు అర్పించడం ముగిసిన తరువాత యెహూ అక్కడి కాపలా వాళ్ళతోనూ, అధికారులతోనూ “లోపలికి వెళ్లి అందర్నీ చంపేయండి. ఏ ఒక్కడూ బయటకు రావడానికి వీల్లేదు” అన్నాడు. వారు కత్తులతో అందర్నీ హతమార్చారు. కాపలా వాళ్ళూ, అధికారులూ వాళ్ళను బయటకు విసిరేసి బయలు దేవుడి గర్భగుడి లోకి వెళ్ళారు.
26 And they brought forth the images out of the house of Baal, and burned them.
౨౬అక్కడ పవిత్రంగా ఎంచే బయలు దేవుడి స్తంభాలను బయటకు లాక్కొచ్చి తగలబెట్టారు.
27 And they brake down the image of Baal, and brake down the house of Baal, and made it a draught house unto this day.
౨౭వారు బయలు దేవుడి విగ్రహాన్ని పగలగొట్టి గుడిని ధ్వంసం చేశారు. ఆ గుడిని చెత్తకుప్పలా చేశారు. అది ఈ రోజు వరకూ అలాగే ఉంది.
28 Thus Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.
౨౮ఈ విధంగా యెహూ బయలు దేవుణ్ణి ఇశ్రాయేలులో లేకుండా నాశనం చేశాడు.
29 Howbeit [from] the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, Jehu departed not from after them, [to wit], the golden calves that [were] in Beth-el, and that [were] in Dan.
౨౯కానీ బేతేలు, దాను అనే స్థలాల్లో బంగారు దూడలను ప్రతిష్టించి, వాటిని పూజించడానికి ప్రేరేపించి ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలు పాపం చేయడానికి కారకుడైన నెబాతు కొడుకు యరొబాము వలె యెహూ కూడా ఆ బంగారు దూడలను పూజించడం మానలేదు.
30 And the LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing [that which is] right in mine eyes, [and] hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that [was] in mine heart, thy children of the fourth [generation] shall sit on the throne of Israel.
౩౦కాబట్టి యెహోవా యెహూతో “అహాబు కుటుంబం విషయంలో నీవు నా హృదయంలో ఉన్నదే చేసి నా దృష్టికి న్యాయమైనది చేశావు కాబట్టి నీ సంతానం నాలుగవ తరం వరకూ ఇశ్రాయేలును పరిపాలిస్తారు” అని చెప్పాడు.
31 But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin.
౩౧అయితే యెహూ ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడైన యెహోవా ధర్మశాస్త్రం ప్రకారం పూర్ణ హృదయంతో జీవించడంలో ఎలాటి శ్రద్ధా చూపించలేదు. ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలు పాపం చేయడానికి కారకుడైన యరోబాము చేసిన పాపాలను వదిలి పెట్టలేదు.
32 In those days the LORD began to cut Israel short: and Hazael smote them in all the coasts of Israel;
౩౨ఆ రోజుల్లో యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజ్యాన్ని తగ్గించడం మొదలుపెట్టాడు. హజాయేలు ఇశ్రాయేలు సరిహద్దుల్లో యొర్దాను నదికి తూర్పుగా ఉన్న ప్రాంతంలో వాళ్ళను ఓడించాడు.
33 From Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which [is] by the river Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan.
౩౩గిలాదు ప్రాంతం, అర్నోను లోయలోని అరోయేరు నుండి గాదు, రూబేను, మనష్షె గోత్రాల ప్రజలు నివసించిన గిలాదు, బాషాను ప్రాంతాల్లో వాళ్ళను హజాయేలు ఓడించాడు.
34 Now the rest of the acts of Jehu, and all that he did, and all his might, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
౩౪యెహూ చేసిన మిగిలిన పనులూ, అతణ్ణి గూర్చిన మిగతా విషయాలూ, అతని శూరత్వం గూర్చిన విషయాలూ ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజుల చరిత్ర గ్రంథంలో రాసి ఉంచారు.
35 And Jehu slept with his fathers: and they buried him in Samaria. And Jehoahaz his son reigned in his stead.
౩౫తరువాత యెహూ తన పూర్వీకులతో నిద్రించాడు. అతణ్ణి షోమ్రోనులో సమాధి చేశారు. అతని కొడుకు యెహోయాహాజు అతని స్థానంలో రాజు అయ్యాడు.
36 And the time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria [was] twenty and eight years.
౩౬యెహూ షోమ్రోనులో ఇశ్రాయేలును ఇరవై ఎనిమిదేళ్ళు పరిపాలించాడు.
