2 Corinthians 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy [our] brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:
神の御意によりてイエス・キリストの使徒となれるパウロ及び兄弟テモテ、書をコリントに在る神の教會、ならびにアカヤ全國に在る凡ての聖徒に贈る。
2 Grace [be] to you and peace from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ.
願はくは我らの父なる神および主イエス・キリストより賜ふ恩惠と平安と汝らに在らんことを。
3 Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
讃むべき哉、われらの主イエス・キリストの父なる神、即ちもろもろの慈悲の父、一切の慰安の神、
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
われらを凡ての患難のうちに慰め、我等をして自ら神に慰めらるる慰安をもて、諸般の患難に居る者を慰むることを得しめ給ふ。
5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
そはキリストの苦難われらに溢るる如く、我らの慰安も亦キリストによりて溢るればなり。
6 And whether we be afflicted, [it is] for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, [it is] for your consolation and salvation.
我ら或は患難を受くるも汝らの慰安と救とのため、或は慰安を受くるも汝らの慰安の爲にして、その慰安は汝らの中に働きて、我らが受くる如き苦難を忍ぶことを得しむるなり。
7 And our hope of you [is] stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so [shall ye be] also of the consolation.
かくて汝らが苦難に與るごとく、また慰安にも與ることを知れば、汝らに對する我らの望は堅し。
8 For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:
兄弟よ、我らがアジヤにて遭ひし患難を汝らの知らざるを好まず、すなはち壓せらるること甚だしく、力 耐へがたくして、生くる望を失ひ、
9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
心のうちに死を期するに至れり。これ己を頼まずして、死人を甦へらせ給ふ神を頼まん爲なり。
10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver [us];
神は斯かる死より我らを救ひ給へり、また救ひ給はん。我らは後もなほ救ひ給はんことを望みて神を頼み、
11 Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift [bestowed] upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
汝らも我らの爲に祈をもて助く。これ多くの人の願望によりて賜はる恩惠を、多くの人の感謝するに至らん爲なり。
12 For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
われら世に在りて殊に汝らに對し、神の清淨と眞實とをもて、また肉の智慧によらず、神の恩惠によりて行ひし事は、我らの良心の證する所にして、我らの誇なり。
13 For we write none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end;
我らの書き贈ることは、汝らの讀むところ知る所の他ならず。
14 As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also [are] ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.
而して我は汝 等のうち或 者の既に知れる如く、我らの主イエスの日に我らが汝らの誇、なんぢらが我らの誇たるを終まで知らんことを望む。
15 And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit;
この確信をもて先づ汝らに到り、再び益を得させ、
16 And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my way toward Judaea.
かくて汝らを經てマケドニアに往き、マケドニアより更に復なんぢらに到り、而して汝らに送られてユダヤに往かんことを定めたり。
17 When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?
かく定めたるは浮きたる事ならんや。わが定むるところ肉によりて定め、然り然り、否 々と言ふが如きこと有らんや。
18 But [as] God [is] true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.
神は眞實にて在せば、我らが汝らに對する言も、然りまた否と言ふが如きにあらず。
19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, [even] by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
我ら即ちパウロ、シルワノ、テモテが汝らの中に傳へたる神の子キリスト・イエスは、然りまた否と言ふが如き者にあらず、然りと言ふことは彼によりて成りたるなり。
20 For all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
神の約束は多くありとも、然りと言ふことは彼によりて成りたれば、彼によりてアァメンあり、我ら神に榮光を歸するに至る。
21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, [is] God;
汝らと共に我らをキリストに堅くし、且われらに膏を注ぎ給ひし者は神なり。
22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
神はまた我らに印し、保證として御靈を我らの心に賜へり。
23 Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.
我わが靈魂を賭けて神の證を求む、我がコリントに往くことの遲きは、汝らを寛うせん爲なり。
24 Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
されど我らは汝らの信仰を掌どる者にあらず、汝らの喜悦を助くる者なり、汝らは信仰によりて立てばなり。
