< 2 Corinthians 5 >

1 For we know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (aiōnios g166)
Qetaꞌm kꞌut chi we qatyoꞌjal ri uj kꞌo wi, jer kꞌo jun ja ri utz katukixik, kasach uwach, kꞌo jun qachoch yaktal chilaꞌ chikaj. Man uqꞌabꞌ ta winaq bꞌanowinaq xuqujeꞌ man kasach ta uwach. (aiōnios g166)
2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
Rumal kꞌu waꞌ kujbꞌisbꞌatij, kaqarayij chi ri qatyoꞌjal kakꞌexkꞌobꞌ bꞌik cho ri qatyoꞌjal rech chilaꞌ chikaj.
3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
Rumal cher we kakoj bꞌik ri qatzꞌyaq rech chikajil man ujchꞌanal ta chi riꞌ.
4 For we that are in [this] tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
Rumal cher uj ri kꞌa uj kꞌo na pa we qatyoꞌjal, kujbꞌisonik, rumal cher man kaqaj taj chi xa kesax kanoq ri qatzꞌyaq xane are kaqaj kakoj bꞌik rech jeriꞌ ri kamikal kasachisax uwach rumal ri kꞌaslemal ri man kꞌo ta ukꞌisik.
5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing [is] God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
Are ri Dios jewaꞌ xbꞌanow chaqe, xuqujeꞌ xuya ri Tyoxalaj Uxlabꞌixel chukꞌutik chi qas kubꞌan na ri ubꞌim loq chaqe.
6 Therefore [we are] always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
Xaq jeriꞌ kuꞌl qakꞌuꞌx xuqujeꞌ qetaꞌm chi we uj kꞌo pa we tyoꞌjal majaꞌ kujopan riꞌ rukꞌ ri Dios.
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight: )
Rumal ri kojobꞌal uj kꞌaslik man rumal ta ri kaqilo.
8 We are confident, [I say], and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Xaq jeriꞌ kuꞌl qakꞌuꞌx, kurayij ri qanimaꞌ we ta mat uj kꞌo chi pa we qatyoꞌjal xane uj kꞌo ta chi ne rukꞌ ri Ajawxel.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
Rumal riꞌ kaqakoj qachuqꞌabꞌ, rech pune uj kꞌo pa ri qatyoꞌjal o wine uj elinaq xuqujeꞌ bꞌik, kujqaj cho ri Dios.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad.
Rumal cher tzi choqꞌaqꞌ wi kujopan na cho ri uqꞌatbꞌal tzij ri Cristo, rech jeriꞌ kayaꞌtaj chi kijujunal ri kataqiꞌ chike, jas na kꞌu ri xuchakuj jun pa ri utyoꞌjal we utz o man utz taj.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
Rumal kꞌu che ri qetaꞌm ri mochꞌoj ibꞌ cho ri Dios, keꞌqabꞌochiꞌj konojel ri winaq rech jeriꞌ xuqujeꞌ kakibꞌano, pune retaꞌm ri Dios ri kujuxik, kinwayeꞌj xuqujeꞌ chi qas kichꞌobꞌo ri rajawaxik kibꞌano.
12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to [answer] them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.
Man kaqabꞌij ta we riꞌ rech kujikꞌamawaꞌj, xane kaqabꞌij chiꞌwe rech nim kinaꞌo che ri kaqabꞌano, jeriꞌ iwetaꞌm qas kibꞌij chike ri winaq ri kakinaꞌ nimal rumal ri kebꞌantajik, man rumal ta ri kꞌo pa qanimaꞌ.
13 For whether we be beside ourselves, [it is] to God: or whether we be sober, [it is] for your cause.
We uj konarinaq, uj konarinaq rumal rech ri Dios; xuqujeꞌ we man uj konarinaq riꞌ xa rumal iwe.
14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
Are ri uloqꞌanik ri Cristo kujtaqchiꞌnik chubꞌanik we riꞌ, jeriꞌ rumal cher uchapom qakꞌuꞌx chi xa jun xkamik kumal ke konojel, rumal riꞌ konojel xekamik.
15 And [that] he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
Are ri Cristo xkamik kumal ke konojel ri winaq, rech jeriꞌ ri kekꞌasiꞌk man kekꞌasiꞌ taj xaq chupatanixik kibꞌ aꞌreꞌ, xane kakipatanij ri xkamik xuqujeꞌ xkꞌastaj uwach kumal ke.
16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we [him] no more.
Xaq jeriꞌ man are ta keꞌqil ri winaq pa ri kityoꞌjal pune uj xqil ri Cristo pa ri utyoꞌjal, man je ta chi riꞌ kaqabꞌan chuchꞌobꞌik uwach.
17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Xaq jeriꞌ we kꞌo jun pa Cristo, jun kꞌakꞌ winaq chik ri qꞌeꞌl taq jastaq xikꞌow kanoq, ronojel xbꞌantaj kꞌakꞌ che.
18 And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
Ronojel we jastaq riꞌ che ri Dios petinaq wi, are ri Dios rumal ri Jesús xujrutzirisaj rukꞌ areꞌ, xuqujeꞌ xuya chaqe chi kaqatzijoj chike nikꞌaj chik we utz laj taq tzij riꞌ.
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Ri Dios pa Cristo xeꞌrutzirisaj rukꞌ Areꞌ ri winaq rech ri uwachulew, man are ta xril ri kimak, xuqujeꞌ xuchilibꞌej chaqe uj chi kaqatzijoj ri utz laj taq tzij.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech [you] by us: we pray [you] in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
Xaq jeriꞌ ujutaqoꞌn ri Dios, jer ta ne tzi are Dios kachꞌaw chiqachiꞌ uj kubꞌij chiꞌwe ri rajawaxik kibꞌano. Rumal riꞌ kaqata chiꞌwe puꞌbꞌiꞌ ri Dios chixutziroq rukꞌ ri Dios.
21 For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Ri man xretaꞌmaj ta wi mak, qumal qe je xbꞌan ajmak chech, rech jeriꞌ ri uj kujuxik sukꞌ cho ri Ajawxel Dios pa Cristo.
