< 2 Corinthians 3 >

1 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some [others], epistles of commendation to you, or [letters] of commendation from you?
¿La kaqabꞌij kꞌu we riꞌ rech kujikꞌamawaꞌj? O ¿la xa kaqata bꞌik jun qawuj chiꞌwe rech kujichilibꞌej bꞌik che jun chik jetaq kakibꞌan e jujun?
2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
Ix riꞌ ri jer ix kꞌo wuj tzꞌibꞌatalik pa ri qanimaꞌ, etaꞌmatalik xuqujeꞌ sikꞌital iwach kumal konojel.
3 [Forasmuch as ye are] manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
Ix jer ix kꞌo jun wuj ri utzꞌibꞌam ri Cristo ri kaqataq bꞌik chike nikꞌaj chik, man rukꞌ ta tinta tzꞌibꞌatalik xane rukꞌ ri kꞌaslik Uxlabꞌixel rech ri Dios; man cho ta abꞌaj xuqujeꞌ man cho ta tzꞌalam tzꞌibꞌatal wi, xane pa taq ri animaꞌaj tzꞌibꞌatal wi.
4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
Are waꞌ ri kuꞌlibꞌal qakꞌuꞌx ri kꞌolik cho ri Dios pa Cristo.
5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency [is] of God;
Man kaqabꞌij taj chi xa sibꞌalaj kujkwinik chubꞌanik ri jastaq, rumal cher ri qakwinem che ri Dios kape wi.
6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
Areꞌ xbꞌanow chaqe xujux patanijelabꞌ rech ri kꞌakꞌ chꞌekom tzij, man are ta ri chꞌekom tzij rech ri tzꞌibꞌatalik xane are ri rech ri Uxlabꞌal. Rumal cher ri rech ri tzꞌibꞌatalik kakamisanik, are kꞌu ri rech ri Uxlabꞌal kuya kꞌaslemal.
7 But if the ministration of death, written [and] engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which [glory] was to be done away:
Ri taqanik ri kakamisanik cho abꞌaj xtzꞌibꞌax wi, sibꞌalaj nim uqꞌij, ri aꞌj Israel man xekwin taj xkikaꞌyej ri upalaj ri Moisés rumal ri juluwem ri karepqꞌun chupalaj ri xa kasach uwach.
8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
Qilampeꞌ, we jeriꞌ xkꞌulmatajik rukꞌ we jastaq riꞌ ¿la man kꞌu kꞌo na ubꞌanik ri nimalaj chak rech ri Uxlabꞌixel cho we riꞌ?
9 For if the ministration of condemnation [be] glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
We nim ubꞌanik ri chak ri kukꞌam loq qꞌatoj tzij, are ta kꞌu mat sibꞌalaj nim uqꞌij ri chak ri kukꞌam loq sukꞌal.
10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
Qas tzij wi, we kajunumaxik ri nim uqꞌij ojer rukꞌ ri nim uqꞌij kamik, are sibꞌalaj nim uqꞌij ri kꞌo kamik.
11 For if that which is done away [was] glorious, much more that which remaineth [is] glorious.
We ri xpetik rukꞌ juluwem tajin kasachik, are ta kꞌu mat sibꞌalaj nim uqꞌij ri ujuluwem ri man kasach ta uwach.
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
Rumal kꞌu che ri kꞌo we kuꞌlibꞌal kꞌuꞌx ri qukꞌ, qas kuꞌl qakꞌuꞌx rukꞌ ri kaqabꞌano.
13 And not as Moses, [which] put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
Ri uj man kaqachꞌuq ta ri qapalaj jetaq ri xubꞌan ri Moisés, xukoj jun atzꞌyaq che chꞌuqbꞌal re ri upalaj rech ri winaq aꞌj Israel man xkil taj ri utunal ri tajin kasach uwach.
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which [vail] is done away in Christ.
Pune jeriꞌ xkꞌulmatajik, xsach ri kichomabꞌal, rumal cher xaq jeꞌ chꞌuqtal ri kichomabꞌal pa taq we qꞌij kamik are kakisikꞌij ri ojer chꞌekom tzij, xaq xwi ri Cristo kakwinik karesaj ri chꞌuqbꞌal rech ri kichomabꞌal.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
Are kakisikꞌij ri utaqanik ri Moisés pa taq we qꞌij kamik riꞌ, chꞌuqtal ri kanimaꞌ rukꞌ jun atzꞌyaq.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
Are kakojon jun che ri Ajawxel, kesataj ri atzꞌyaq ri chꞌuquwinaq ri ranimaꞌ.
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty.
Rumal cher ri Ajawxel are Uxlabꞌal, xuqujeꞌ xapawiꞌ kꞌo wi ri Uxlabꞌixel rech ri Ajawxel, chilaꞌ kꞌo wi kiritajem.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Xaq jeriꞌ uj, joltalik ri qapalaj, jer kujkaꞌy pa jun kaꞌyebꞌal kaqil ri ujuluwem ri Ajawxel, tajin kujkꞌexkꞌobꞌik pa ri juluwem, rumal ri Ajawxel rumal cher Areꞌ Uxlabꞌal.
