< 2 Chronicles 13 >

1 Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam began Abijah to reign over Judah.
Abija malitere ịbụ eze Juda, nʼafọ iri na asatọ nke ọchịchị eze Jeroboam.
2 He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also [was] Michaiah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.
Ọ chịrị afọ atọ na Jerusalem. Aha nne ya bụ Maaka, otu nʼime ụmụ nwanyị Uriel, onye Gibea. Agha dịgidere nʼetiti Abija na Jeroboam.
3 And Abijah set the battle in array with an army of valiant men of war, [even] four hundred thousand chosen men: Jeroboam also set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, [being] mighty men of valour.
Abija họpụtara ndị ya dị ike nʼagha bụ ndị ọnụọgụgụ ha dị narị puku anọ, ma Jeroboam eze Izrel họpụtara ndị agha ọnụọgụgụ ha dị narị puku asatọ doo ha nʼusoro.
4 And Abijah stood up upon mount Zemaraim, which [is] in mount Ephraim, and said, Hear me, thou Jeroboam, and all Israel;
Abija guzoro nʼugwu Zemaraim nʼala ugwu ugwu Ifrem jiri oke olu sị “Jeroboam na ndị Izrel niile geenụ m ntị!
5 Ought ye not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, [even] to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?
Unu amataghị na Onyenwe anyị Chineke nke Izrel esitela nʼọgbụgba ndụ nnu nyefee ọchịchị ala Izrel niile nʼaka Devid na ụmụ ụmụ ya ruo ebighị ebi?
6 Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, is risen up, and hath rebelled against his lord.
Ma Jeroboam, nwa Nebat, bụ onye ọrụ Solomọn nwa Devid, nupuru isi megide onyenwe ya.
7 And there are gathered unto him vain men, the children of Belial, and have strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tenderhearted, and could not withstand them.
Ndị efu niile na-abaghị uru chịkọtara onwe ha gbaa ya gburugburu guzogide Rehoboam nwa Solomọn, mgbe ọ bụ nwantakịrị na onye na-enweghị ike inwe mkpebi, onye nʼadịghịkwa ike iguzogide ha.
8 And now ye think to withstand the kingdom of the LORD in the hand of the sons of David; and ye [be] a great multitude, and [there are] with you golden calves, which Jeroboam made you for gods.
“Ma ugbu a, unu ejikerela imegide alaeze Onyenwe anyị nke dị nʼaka ụmụ ụmụ Devid. Nʼezie, unu bu igwe ndị agha bara ụba, nʼetiti unu ka ụmụ ehi ọlaedo ahụ dịkwa, bụ nke Jeroboam mere ka ha buru chi unu.
9 Have ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of [other] lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, [the same] may be a priest of [them that are] no gods.
Ma unu achụpụghị ndị nchụaja Onyenwe anyị, bụ ụmụ Erọn, chụpụkwa ndị Livayị ma meere onwe unu ndị nchụaja dịka ndị mba ọzọ na-eme? Onye ọbụla ji nwa oke ehi na ebule asaa bịa ido onwe ya nsọ na-aghọrọ unu onye nchụaja nye ihe ndị ahụ na-abụghị chi.
10 But as for us, the LORD [is] our God, and we have not forsaken him; and the priests, which minister unto the LORD, [are] the sons of Aaron, and the Levites [wait] upon [their] business:
“Ma banyere anyị, Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke anyị, anyị ahapụbeghị ya. Ndị nchụaja na-ejere Onyenwe anyị ozi bụ ụmụ Erọn, ndị Livayị bụkwa ndị na-enyere ha aka.
11 And they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: the shewbread also [set they in order] upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but ye have forsaken him.
Ha na-achụ aja nye Onyenwe anyị kwa ụtụtụ na anyasị niile, na-esurekwa ihe nsure ọkụ na-esi isi ụtọ; ma na-edobekwa achịcha edoro nsọ nʼelu tebul ahụ dị ọcha. Ha na-amụnyekwa ọkụ nʼiheọkụ ndị ahụ dị nʼelu ihe ịdọba oriọna ọlaedo kwa abalị niile. Nʼihi na anyị onwe anyị na-edebe iwu Onyenwe anyị Chineke anyị; ma unu onwe unu ahapụla ya, gbakụta ya azụ.
12 And, behold, God himself [is] with us for [our] captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.
Chineke nọnyeere anyị. Ọ bụkwa onyendu anyị. Ndị nchụaja ya ga-eji ịfụ opi ike tie mkpu agha megide unu. Unu ndị Izrel, unu alụsokwala Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke nna unu ha ọgụ nʼihi na mmeri agaghị abụ nke unu!”
13 But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Judah, and the ambushment [was] behind them.
Ma Jeroboam ezipụlarị ụfọdụ ndị agha ya ka ha ga ndị agha Juda nʼazụ. Mgbe Jeroboam nọ nʼihu ndị Juda, ụfọdụ ndị agha ya nọkwa ndị Juda nʼazụ.
14 And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle [was] before and behind: and they cried unto the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.
Mgbe ndị agha Juda tụgharịrị hụ na agha dị ha nʼihu dịkwa nʼazụ, ha tikuru Onyenwe anyị mkpu nzọpụta, ndị nchụaja fụkwara opi ike ha.
15 Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.
Ndị Juda tiri oke mkpu agha. Mgbe ha na-eti mkpu a, Chineke mere ka Abija na ndị Juda merie Jeroboam na ndị Izrel.
16 And the children of Israel fled before Judah: and God delivered them into their hand.
Ndị agha Izrel gbara ọsọ nʼihu ndị Juda, Chineke nyefere ha nʼaka ndị Juda.
17 And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men.
Abija na ndị agha ya gburu narị puku ndị Izrel ise nʼụbọchị ahụ.
18 Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the LORD God of their fathers.
Ya mere, ntụkwasị obi nke Juda nwere nʼime Onyenwe anyị Chineke nna ha mere ka ha merie Jeroboam na ndị Izrel.
19 And Abijah pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Beth-el with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with the towns thereof, and Ephrain with the towns thereof.
Abija chụkwara Jeroboam na ndị agha ya ọsọ dọta obodo ndị a nʼagha: Betel, na Jeshana, na Efrọn, na obodo niile gbara ha gburugburu.
20 Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah: and the LORD struck him, and he died.

21 But Abijah waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives, and begat twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters.
Ma Abija gara nʼihu bụrụ onye dị ike, ọ lụrụ nwunye iri na anọ, mụọ iri ụmụ nwoke abụọ na abụọ, na ụmụ ndị nwanyị iri na isii.
22 And the rest of the acts of Abijah, and his ways, and his sayings, [are] written in the story of the prophet Iddo.
