1 Timothy 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, [which is] our hope;
൧ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ അപ്പൊസ്തലനായ പൗലൊസ് നമ്മുടെ രക്ഷിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെയും നമ്മുടെ പ്രത്യാശയായ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെയും കല്പനപ്രകാരം,
2 Unto Timothy, [my] own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, [and] peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
൨വിശ്വാസത്തിൽ യഥാർത്ഥപുത്രനായ തിമൊഥെയൊസിന് എഴുതുന്നത്: പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കൽനിന്നും നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കൽനിന്നും നിനക്ക് കൃപയും കനിവും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.
3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
൩നീ എഫെസൊസിൽ താമസിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞാൻ മക്കെദോന്യെക്കു പോകുമ്പോൾ ഉത്സാഹിപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഇപ്പോഴും ഉത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു,
4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: [so do].
൪മറ്റു യാതൊരുവിധ ഉപദേശങ്ങളും പഠിപ്പിക്കുകയോ വിശ്വാസത്താലുള്ള ദൈവഹിതത്തേക്കാൾ തർക്കങ്ങൾക്ക് മാത്രം ഉതകുന്ന കെട്ടുകഥകളെയും അന്തമില്ലാത്ത വംശാവലികളെയും ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യരുതെന്ന് ചിലരോട് കല്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്.
5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and [of] a good conscience, and [of] faith unfeigned:
൫കല്പിച്ചതിന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശ്യമോ: ശുദ്ധഹൃദയത്തിൽനിന്നും, നല്ല മനസ്സാക്ഷിയിൽനിന്നും, നിർവ്യാജവിശ്വാസത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഉളവാകുന്ന സ്നേഹം തന്നെ.
6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
൬ചിലർ ഇവ വിട്ടുമാറി അർത്ഥശൂന്യമായ സംസാരത്തിലേക്ക് തിരിഞ്ഞ്,
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
൭തങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നത് എന്തെന്നോ, സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നത് ഇന്നതെന്നോ ഗ്രഹിക്കാതെ, ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാരായിരിക്കുവാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു.
8 But we know that the law [is] good, if a man use it lawfully;
൮ആരോഗ്യകരമായ ഉപദേശത്തിന് വിപരീതമായ മറ്റേതിനും അത്രേ വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്നു ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ കൃത്യമായി ആചരിച്ചാൽ ന്യായപ്രമാണം നല്ലതു തന്നെ എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നു,
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
൯ന്യായപ്രമാണമോ നീതിമാനു വേണ്ടിയല്ല, പ്രത്യുത, അധർമ്മികൾ, അനുസരണംകെട്ടവർ, അഭക്തർ, പാപികൾ, അശുദ്ധർ, ലൗകികർ, മാതാപിതാക്കളെ കൊല്ലുന്നവർ, കൊലപാതകർ,
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
൧൦ദുർന്നടപ്പുകാർ, സ്വവർഗഭോഗികൾ, മനുഷ്യക്കടത്തുകാർ, ഭോഷ്കുപറയുന്നവർ, കള്ളസാക്ഷികൾ എന്നീ വകക്കാർക്കും.
11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
൧൧എങ്കൽ ഭരമേല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന, ധന്യനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വമുള്ള സുവിശേഷത്തിന് അനുസൃതമായതാണ് ഈ ആരോഗ്യകരമായ ഉപദേശം.
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
൧൨എനിക്ക് ശക്തി നല്കിയ ക്രിസ്തുയേശു എന്ന നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവ് എന്നെ വിശ്വസ്തൻ എന്നെണ്ണി ശുശ്രൂഷയ്ക്ക് ആക്കിയതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നു.
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did [it] ignorantly in unbelief.
൧൩മുമ്പെ ഞാൻ ദൂഷകനും ഉപദ്രവിയും ധിക്കാരിയും ആയിരുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവിശ്വാസത്തിൽ അറിവില്ലാതെ ചെയ്തതാകകൊണ്ട് എനിക്ക് കരുണ ലഭിച്ചു;
14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
൧൪നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവിന്റെ കൃപ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്തോടും സ്നേഹത്തോടുംകൂടെ അത്യന്തം വർദ്ധിച്ചു കവിഞ്ഞുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
15 This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
൧൫ക്രിസ്തുയേശു പാപികളെ രക്ഷിക്കുവാൻ ലോകത്തിൽ വന്നു എന്നുള്ളത് വിശ്വാസ്യവും എല്ലാവരും അംഗീകരിക്കുവാൻ യോഗ്യവുമായ വചനം തന്നെ; ആ പാപികളിൽ ഒന്നാമൻ ഞാൻ തന്നെ.
16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. (aiōnios g166)
൧൬എന്നിട്ടും, നിത്യജീവനായി തന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുവാനുള്ളവർക്ക് ദൃഷ്ടാന്തത്തിനായി യേശുക്രിസ്തു സകലദീർഘക്ഷമയും ഒന്നാമനായ എന്നിൽ കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന് എനിക്ക് കരുണ ലഭിച്ചു. (aiōnios g166)
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, [be] honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
൧൭നിത്യരാജാവായി അക്ഷയനും അദൃശ്യനുമായ ഏകദൈവത്തിന് എന്നെന്നേക്കും ബഹുമാനവും മഹത്വവും. ആമേൻ. (aiōn g165)
18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
൧൮മകനേ, തിമൊഥെയൊസേ, നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് മുമ്പുണ്ടായ പ്രവചനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഞാൻ ഈ കല്പന നിന്നെ ഏല്പിക്കുന്നു; നീ വിശ്വാസവും നല്ല മനസ്സാക്ഷിയും ഉള്ളവനായി അവയാൽ നല്ല യുദ്ധസേവ ചെയ്യുക.
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
൧൯ചിലർ ഈ വിശ്വാസവും നല്ല മനസ്സാക്ഷിയും തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞതു നിമിത്തം കപ്പൽഛേതം സംഭവിച്ചതുപോലെ അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസം തകർന്നുപോയി;
20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
൨൦ഹുമനയൊസും അലെക്സന്തരും ഈ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഉള്ളവർ ആകുന്നു; അവർ ദൈവദുഷണം പറയാതിരിക്കുവാൻ പഠിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ അവരെ സാത്താന് ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
