1 Thessalonians 4
1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort [you] by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, [ so] ye would abound more and more.
१बंधूनो, शेवटी आम्ही तुम्हास विनंती करतो व प्रभू येशूमध्ये बोध करतो की, कोणत्या वागणूकीने देवाला संतोषवावे हे तुम्ही आम्हापासून ऐकून घेतले व तुम्ही त्याप्रमाणे वागत आहा, त्यामध्ये तुमची अधिकाधिक वाढ व्हावी.
2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
२कारण प्रभू येशूच्या वतीने कोणकोणत्या आज्ञा आम्ही तुम्हास दिल्या त्या तुम्हास ठाऊक आहेत.
3 For this is the will of God, [even] your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
३कारण देवाची इच्छा ही आहे की, तुमचे पवित्रीकरण व्हावे, म्हणजे तुम्ही जारकर्मापासून दूर रहावे
4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
४आणि तुमच्यातील प्रत्येकाला समजावे की, ज्याने त्याने आपल्या देहाला पवित्रतेने व आदरबुद्धीने आपल्या स्वाधीन कसे करून घ्यावे.
5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
५देवाला न ओळखऱ्या परराष्ट्रीयांप्रमाणे वासनेच्या लोभाने करू नये.
6 That no [man] go beyond and defraud his brother in [any] matter: because that the Lord [is] the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
६कोणी या गोष्टींचे उल्लंघन करून आपल्या बंधूचा गैरफायदा घेऊ नये कारण प्रभू या सर्व गोष्टींबद्दल शासन करणारा आहे; हे आम्ही तुम्हास आधीच सांगितले होते व बजावलेही होते.
7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
७कारण देवाने आपल्याला अशुद्धपणासाठी नव्हे तर पवित्रेतेसाठी पाचारण केले आहे.
8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
८म्हणून जो कोणी नाकार करतो तो मनुष्याचा नव्हे तर तुम्हास आपला पवित्र आत्मा देणारा देव याचा नाकार करतो.
9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
९बंधुप्रेमाविषयी आम्ही तुम्हास लिहावे याची तुम्हास गरज नाही; कारण एकमेकांवर प्रीती करावी, असे तुम्हास देवानेच शिकविले आहे;
10 And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;
१०आणि अखिल मासेदोनियांतील सर्व बंधुवर्गावर तुम्ही ती करीतच आहात. तरी बंधूंनो, आम्ही तुम्हास बोध करतो की, ती अधिकाधिक करावी.
11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
११आम्ही तुम्हास आज्ञा केल्याप्रमाणे शांतीने राहा. आपआपला व्यवसाय करणे आणि आपल्या हातांनी काम करणे याची आवड तुम्हास असावी.
12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and [that] ye may have lack of nothing.
१२बाहेरच्या लोकांबरोबर सभ्यतेने वागावे आणि तुम्हास कशाचीही गरज पडू नये.
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
१३पण बंधूंनो, मी इच्छीत नाही की, जे मरण पावलेत त्यांच्याविषयी तुम्ही अज्ञानी असावे, म्हणजे ज्यांना आशा नाही अशा इतरांप्रमाणे तुम्ही दुःख करू नये.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
१४कारण येशू मरण पावला व पुन्हा उठला असा जर आपण विश्वास ठेवतो, तर येशूमध्ये जे मरतात त्यांनाही देव त्याच्याबरोबर आणील.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
१५कारण प्रभूच्या वचनावरून आम्ही तुम्हास हे सांगतो की, आपण जे जिवंत आहोत व जे प्रभूच्या येण्यापर्यंत मागे राहू, ते आपण तोपर्यंत मरण पावलेल्यांच्या पुढे जाणार नाही.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
१६कारण आज्ञा करणाऱ्या गर्जणेने, आद्यदेवदूतांची वाणी आणि देवाच्या कर्ण्याचा आवाज येईल, तेव्हा प्रभू स्वतः स्वर्गातून उतरेल आणि ख्रिस्तात मरण पावलेले प्रथम उठतील.
17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
१७मग आपण जे जिवंत आहोत व मागे राहू, ते प्रभूला अंतराळात भेटण्यासाठी ढगात उचलले जाऊ आणि सर्वकाळ प्रभूबरोबर राहू.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
१८म्हणून तुम्ही या वचनांनी एकमेकांचे सांत्वन करा.
