< 1 Samuel 6 >

1 And the ark of the LORD was in the country of the Philistines seven months.
Tan-tane’ o nte-Pilistio fito volañe ty vatam-pañina’ Iehovà.
2 And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his place.
Le kinanji’ o nte-Pilistio o mpisoroñeo naho o mpisikilio, ami’ty hoe: Hataon-tika akore i vatam-pañina’ Iehovày? itaroño te akore ty hañitrifa’ay aze mb’an-toe’e mb’eo.
3 And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.
Hoe iereo: Aa naho ahitri’ areo mb’eo i vatam-pañinan’ Añaharey, ko ampandenàñe mb’eo kapaike; fe ampolio rekets’ engan-kakeo; le ho jangañe nahareo, vaho ho fohi’ areo ty foto’ ty tsy nampipitsohañe ama’ areo i fità’ey.
4 Then said they, What [shall be] the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden emerods, and five golden mice, [according to] the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague [was] on you all, and on your lords.
Aa le hoe iereo: Ino o engan-kakeo hampolieñe ama’eo? Le hoe iereo: Fibokalirañe volamena lime, naho kotika volamena lime ty ami’ty ia’ o talèn-te-Pilistio; fa angorosy raike ty tama’ areo iaby naho amo talè’ areoo.
5 Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.
Aa le tseneo an-tsare ty fibokaliran’ akobo’areo, sareo ka o kotika’ areo mijoy i taneio; vaho toloro engeñe t’i Andrianañahare’ Israele; hera hamaivañe’e ama’ areo naho amo ‘ndrahare’ areoo, naho an-tane’ areo ty fità’e.
6 Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?
Ino arè ty ampigàñe’ areo arofo, manahake ty nanjira’ o nte-Mitsraimeo naho i Parò arofo? Ie nanilofe’e, tsy navotso’ iareo hao ondatio hiavotse mb’eo?
7 Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milch kine, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the kine to the cart, and bring their calves home from them:
Ie amy zao, mandrambesa le ihentseño sarete vao, naho añombe rene’e roe mb’e tsy ninday joka, rohizo amy saretey i añombe-rene’e rey, vaho adono an-jolok’ ao o ana’eo.
8 And take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him [for] a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go.
Rambeso am’ izao i vatam-pañina’ Iehovày le ajoño amy saretey. Le apoho an-karoñe añ’ila’e ao o bange volamena mivike ama’e ho engan-kakeoo; vaho iraho handena’e mb’eo.
9 And see, if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Beth-shemesh, [then] he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that [it is] not his hand [that] smote us; it [was] a chance [that] happened to us.
Isaho amy zao, ke homb’an-tane’e mb’e Bete’semese mb’eo, le ie ty nametsake i hankàñey aman-tika; fe naho tsie, le ho fohi’ areo te tsy i fità’ey ty nanjevoñe antika, fa nisendre-draha.
10 And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home:
Aa le nanoe’ ondatio; rinambe’ iereo ty añombe mampinono roe, naho rinohi’ iareo an-tsarete, vaho narindriñ’ an-jolok’ ao o ana’eo;
11 And they laid the ark of the LORD upon the cart, and the coffer with the mice of gold and the images of their emerods.
le najo’ iareo an-tsarete ao i vatam-pañina’ Iehovày, naho i hàroñe rekets’ i kotika volamena rey naho o sarem-pibokalira’ iareoo.
12 And the kine took the straight way to the way of Beth-shemesh, [and] went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside [to] the right hand or [to] the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Beth-shemesh.
Nivantañe’ o añombeo ty lalañe migodamb’e Bete-semese mb’eo; nitrakotrako amy damokey nihòñe avao, le tsy nitsile mb’am-pitan-kavana ndra mb’ankavia, vaho nañorike iareo pak’ añ’efe-tane’ i Bete-semese mb’eo o talè nte-Pilistio.
13 And [they of] Beth-shemesh [were] reaping their wheat harvest in the valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see [it].
Nanatake vare-bolè am-bavatane ey o nte-Bete-semeseo; aa ie nampiandra-pihaino naho nahaisake i vatam-pañinay, le nirebeke t’ie nioniñe.
14 And the cart came into the field of Joshua, a Beth-shemite, and stood there, where [there was] a great stone: and they clave the wood of the cart, and offered the kine a burnt offering unto the LORD.
Aa le niheo mb’an-tete’ Iehosoa nte-Bete-semese mb’eo i saretey naho nitsangañe marine ty vato jabajaba eo; natsafe’ iareo ty hatae i saretey vaho nengae’ iareo an-tsoroñe am’ Iehovà i añombe rene’e rey.
15 And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that [was] with it, wherein the jewels of gold [were], and put [them] on the great stone: and the men of Beth-shemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD.
Nazotso’ o nte-Levio i vatam-pañina’ Iehovày, rekets’ i hàroñe ninday o bange volamenaoy, naho napò’ iereo ambone’ i vato jabajabay eo; naho nañenga horoañe vaho nandroroke vaho nisoroñe am’ Iehovà ondaty nte-Bete-semeseo amy andro zay.
16 And when the five lords of the Philistines had seen [it], they returned to Ekron the same day.
Ie nahaisake izay i talen-te-Pilisty limey le nimpoly mb’e Akrone mb’eo amy àndroy.
17 And these [are] the golden emerods which the Philistines returned [for] a trespass offering unto the LORD; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one;
Zao o fibokaliran’ akobo volamena nabali’ o nte-Pilistio ho engan-kakeo amy Iehovào: a i Asdode t’y raike, a i Aza ty a i Askelone le ty a i Gate vaho ty a i Ekrone;
18 And the golden mice, [according to] the number of all the cities of the Philistines [belonging] to the five lords, [both] of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great [stone of] Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: [which stone remaineth] unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Beth-shemite.
mira ami’ty ia’ o rovan-talè nte-Pilisty lime reio i kotìka volamena rey; mpiama’ iareo o rova aman-kijolio naho o kialoo. Valolombeloñe henanekeo i vato jabajaba nampipoha’ iareo i vatam-pañina’ Iehovày. Le lia’e an-tonda’ Iehosoa nte-Bete-semese eo re pake henaneo.
19 And he smote the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten [many] of the people with a great slaughter.
Linihin’ Añahare ty ila’ o nte-Bete-semeseo amy te nisamba i vatam-pañina’ Iehovày. Ondaty lime ale tsi-fitompolo ty zinama’e. Aa le nandala’ ondatio ty hamafem-panjevoña’ Iehovà iareo.
20 And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?
Le hoe ondaty nte-Bete-semeseo, Ia ty hahafijohañe añatrefa’ Iehovà, Andrianañahare masiñe? Vaho homb’ am’ondati’ ia izay te mienga anay?
21 And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjath-jearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD; come ye down, [and] fetch it up to you.
Aa le nampihitrife’ iereo amo mpimoneñe e Kiriate Iearimeo ty hoe: Fa nampolie’ o nte-Pilistio ty vatam-pañina’ Iehovà. Mb’atoy nahareo hinday aze moly mb’ama’ areo añe.
