< 1 Peter 4 >
1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
Esiane sɛ Kristo hunuu amane ne honam mu enti, monsɔ saa adwene korɔ no ara mu mfa nhyɛ mo ho den. Ɛfiri sɛ, deɛ wahunu amane wɔ honam mu no ne bɔne nni biribiara yɛ.
2 That he no longer should live the rest of [his] time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
Ɛfiri seesei rekɔ no, mo nna a aka wɔ asase so ha no, ɛsɛ sɛ Onyankopɔn na ɔdi mo abrabɔ so na ɛnyɛ onipa akɔnnɔ.
3 For the time past of [our] life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
Moasɛe mmerɛ bebree de ayɛ deɛ ɛsɛ sɛ abosonsomfoɔ na wɔyɛ. Motenaa ase wɔ ahohwie, akɔnnɔbɔne, nsãborɔ, agobɔne, adidimeeɛ ne abosonsom a ɛyɛ akyiwadeɛ mu.
4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with [them] to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of [you]:
Seesei ɛyɛ wɔn nwanwa sɛ mo ne wɔn mmɔ mu mmu ahuhubra no bio, ɛno enti, wɔyeyɛ mo.
5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
Nanso, wɔbɛbu wɔn ho nkonta akyerɛ Onyankopɔn a wasiesie ne ho bu ateasefoɔ ne awufoɔ atɛn no.
6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
Saa enti na wɔkaa Asɛmpa no kyerɛɛ awufoɔ, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a sɛ wɔgyina wɔn asetena yi mu nneyɛeɛ so bu wɔn atɛn a wɔn honhom ne Onyankopɔn bɛtena.
7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
Biribiara awieeɛ abɛn. Ɛsɛ sɛ mohyɛ mo ho so na mowɛn na moatumi abɔ mpaeɛ.
8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Yei akyi no, monnodɔ mo ho yie ɛfiri sɛ, ɔdɔ bunkam bɔne nyinaa so.
9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
Monnye mo ho ahɔhoɔ wɔ mo afie mu a huhuhuhu biara nni akyire.
10 As every man hath received the gift, [even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
Honhom mu adom a obiara anya no, ɔnnyina so mfa nsom afoforɔ.
11 If any man speak, [let him speak] as the oracles of God; if any man minister, [let him do it] as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
Sɛ obi reka asɛm a, ɔnka Onyankopɔn asɛm. Obiara a ɔsom no, ɔmfa ahoɔden a Onyankopɔn de ama no no nsom sɛdeɛ biribiara mu, wɔbɛfa Yesu Kristo so akamfo Onyankopɔn a animuonyam ne tumi wɔ no daadaa no. Amen. (aiōn )
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
Anuanom, mommma amanehunu a morehunu no nnyɛ mo nwanwa te sɛ deɛ montee so asɛm da.
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
Na mmom, momma mo ani nnye sɛ mo ne Kristo rehunu amane sɛdeɛ mo ani bɛgye daa da a ɔbɛda nʼanimuonyam adi no.
14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy [are ye]; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
Nhyira nka mo sɛ moyɛ Kristo akyidifoɔ enti wɔya mo. Yei kyerɛ sɛ animuonyam honhom a ɛyɛ Onyankopɔn Honhom no wɔ mo so.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or [as] a thief, or [as] an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.
Ɛnsɛ sɛ mo mu biara hunu amane sɛ owudifoɔ anaa owifoɔ anaa odwotwafoɔ anaa ɔsɛmpɛfoɔ,
16 Yet if [any man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
Na sɛ mohunu amane wɔ mo Kristosom ho a, mommma mo ani nnwu, na mmom, monna Onyankopɔn ase sɛ moyɛ Kristo dea.
17 For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God?
Ɛberɛ aduru sɛ wɔbu atɛn, na Onyankopɔn no ara nkurɔfoɔ na wɔbɛdi kane abu wɔn atɛn. Na sɛ ɛfiri yɛn so kane a, ɛbɛwie Asɛmpa no asoɔdenfoɔ no sɛn?
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Atwerɛsɛm no ka sɛ, “Ɛyɛ den sɛ wɔbɛgye onipa pa nkwa; na wɔn a wɔnnye asɛm no nni ne nnebɔneyɛfoɔ no deɛ, ɛdeɛn na ɛbɛba wɔn so?”
19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls [to him] in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
Ne saa enti, wɔn a wɔhunu amane sɛdeɛ Onyankopɔn ahyehyɛ no, ɛsɛ sɛ wɔde wɔn ho ma Ɔbɔadeɛ no na wɔkɔ so yɛ papa.
