< 1 Peter 2 >

1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
Emomiyo weuru timbe maricho duto kod wuondruok duto, kod dondruok, gi nyiego kod kuoth e yo moro amora.
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Mana kaka nyithindo mayom, beduru gi siso gi chak mayom mar chuny mondo kumadhe to omi udongi e yor warruok,
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord [is] gracious.
nikech koro usebilo Ruoth mi uyudo ni ober.
4 To whom coming, [as unto] a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, [and] precious,
Ka ubiro ir Jalno ma en Kidi mangima mane jogedo odagi, to en ema Nyasaye noyiere kendo omiye duongʼ.
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Un bende biuru ire kaka kite mangima, mondo oger kodu hekalu mar chuny mondo ubed jodolo maler machiwo misango mag chuny ma Nyasaye oyiego kuom Yesu Kristo.
6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
Mana kaka Muma wacho niya, “Neuru, aketo kidi e Sayun, en kidi moyier kendo ma nengone tek moriwo kor ot, to ngʼat mogeno kuome ok none wichkuot.”
7 Unto you therefore which believe [he is] precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
To kuom joma ok oyie to, “Kidi mane jogedo odagi koro osedoko kidi moriwo kor ot,”
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, [even to them] which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
bende niya, “En e kidi machwanyo ji kendo lwanda mamiyo gipodho.” Gichwanyore nikech gitamore winjo wach mane Nyasaye owalonegi.
9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Un to un jogo moyier. Un jodolo ma joka Ruoth kendo un oganda maler mar Nyasaye mane oyiero mondo ohul tijene miwuoro, kane oluongou mi ua e mudho kendo udonjo e lerne miwuoro.
10 Which in time past [were] not a people, but [are] now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Chon ne ok un ji, to koro un jo-Nyasaye, chon ne pok okechu, to koro osekechu.
11 Dearly beloved, I beseech [you] as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
Joherana, ajiwou, kaka jowuoth kendo kaka welo e pinyni, mondo uwe gombo maricho mag ringruok makedo gi chunyu.
12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by [your] good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Daguru e ngima maber e kind jopiny makia Nyasaye mondo kata ka gihangonu ni un joketho to gine mana timbeu mabeyo mi gimi Nyasaye duongʼ chiengʼ ma obiro ngʼadoe bura.
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
Rituru chike mag ruoth marito piny,
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
kendo rituru bende chike mag jotelo ma gin joma ruoth owuon ema oketo mondo okum joma ketho to opwo joma timo maber.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
Nikech en dwaro Nyasaye mondo timbeu mabeyo okuod wi joma ofuwo mohero weche manono.
16 As free, and not using [your] liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
Daguru ka joma ni thuolo, to kik uti gi thuolo ma un-go obed gima uumogo richou, daguru kaka jotich Nyasaye.
17 Honour all [men]. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
Chiwuru luor mowinjore ne ji duto. Heruru jowete duto mowar. Luoruru Nyasaye. Miuru ruoth mar piny luor.
18 Servants, [be] subject to [your] masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
To un wasumbini winjuru ruodhiu kendo migiuru luor. Kik uluor mana ruodhi mabeyo ma ok kwiny kodu, to luoruru koda mago makwiny kodu.
19 For this [is] thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
20 For what glory [is it], if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer [for it], ye take it patiently, this [is] acceptable with God.
To ere kaka ngʼato diyud pak ka uyudo chwat michwadougo nikech ujoketho? To ka isandou nikech tim maber ma utimo, kendo ka unano e bwo sand ma kamano, to Nyasaye pwoyou.
21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Mano e kit ngima mane oluongue nikech Kristo nosandi nikech un, mine oweyonu ranyisi mondo un bende uluw timne.
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
Muma wacho niya, “Ne ok otimo richo kata achiel, kendo onge miriambo mane owuok e dhoge.”
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously:
Kane oyanye to ne ok oyenyo, kata kane isande to ne ok okwongʼo joma ne sande.
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
En owuon notingʼo richowa e ringre kane otho e msalaba mondo eka wan wadok joma otho ne richo, to wabed mangima ne timbe makare; kuom moriemo mage ema osechangu.
25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Ne uchalo mana ka rombe morwenyo, to koro oseduogu e yo mondo ulu Jakwadhu kendo Jarit mar chunyu.
