< 1 Kings 3 >

1 And Solomon made affinity with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh’s daughter, and brought her into the city of David, until he had made an end of building his own house, and the house of the LORD, and the wall of Jerusalem round about.
Salomo asalaki boyokani elongo na Faraon, mokonzi ya Ejipito; abalaki mwana mwasi ya Faraon mpe amemaki ye na engumba ya Davidi, kino tango asilisaki kotonga ndako na ye ya bokonzi, Tempelo ya Yawe mpe bamir, zingazinga ya Yelusalemi.
2 Only the people sacrificed in high places, because there was no house built unto the name of the LORD, until those days.
Na tango wana, bato bazalaki kotumba mbeka na bisambelo ya likolo ya bangomba, pamba te ezalaki nanu na tempelo moko te oyo etongamaki mpo na Kombo na Yawe.
3 And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.
Salomo alakisaki bolingo na ye mpo na Yawe na kotambola kolanda malako ya Davidi, tata na ye, longola kaka kotumba mbeka mpe ansa na bisambelo ya likolo ya bangomba.
4 And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that [was] the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.
Mokonzi akendeki na Gabaoni mpo na kobonza mbeka, pamba te ezalaki esambelo ya likolo ya ngomba oyo elekaki motuya, mpe kuna, Salomo abonzaki bambeka ya kotumba nkoto moko, na etumbelo wana.
5 In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.
Na Gabaoni, Yawe amimonisaki epai ya Salomo kati na ndoto ya butu. Nzambe alobaki na ye: — Senga Ngai nyonso oyo olingi ete napesa yo.
6 And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as [it is] this day.
Salomo azongisaki: — Otalisi bolamu monene epai ya tata na ngai, Davidi, mosali na Yo, pamba te atambolaki na boyengebene mpe na bosembo na miso na Yo; okobaki kotalisa ye bolamu monene na Yo mpe opesi ye mwana mobali oyo avandi lelo na kiti na ye ya bokonzi.
7 And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I [am but] a little child: I know not [how] to go out or come in.
Sik’oyo, oh Yawe, Nzambe na ngai, okomisi mowumbu na Yo mokonzi na esika ya Davidi, tata na ngai. Kasi nazali nanu elenge mpe nayebi te ndenge nini nakoki komema mokumba oyo.
8 And thy servant [is] in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.
Mowumbu na Yo azali awa kati na bato oyo oponi: bato ebele oyo bakoki kotanga motango na bango te mpo ete bazali ebele penza.
9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
Boye, pesa na mowumbu na Yo motema ya mayele mpo na kokamba bato na Yo mpe kososola malamu mpe mabe. Pamba te, nani akolonga kokamba ebele ya bato na Yo oyo?
10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.
Nkolo asepelaki na likambo oyo Salomo asengaki.
11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;
Nzambe alobaki na ye: — Lokola osengi bwanya, kasi osengi bomoi molayi te to bomengo mpo na yo moko te; lokola osengi kufa ya banguna na yo te, kasi osengi bwanya mpo na kokata makambo na bosembo,
12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
nakosala nyonso oyo osili kosenga. Nakopesa yo motema ya bwanya mpe ya mayele, na lolenge oyo natikala nanu te kopesa na moto moko liboso na yo; mpe sima na yo, moto moko te akotikala kozala lokola yo.
13 And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
Nakopesa yo lisusu oyo osengi te: bomengo mpe lokumu. Na bongo, na bomoi na yo mobimba, mokonzi moko te akokokana na yo.
14 And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.
Mpe soki otamboli na banzela na Ngai, otosi malako mpe mitindo na Ngai ndenge tata na yo, Davidi, asalaki, nakopesa yo bomoi molayi.
15 And Solomon awoke; and, behold, [it was] a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.
Salomo alamukaki mpe asosolaki ete ezalaki ndoto. Azongaki na Yelusalemi, atelemaki liboso ya Sanduku ya Boyokani ya Yawe. Abonzaki bambeka ya kotumba mpe bambeka ya boyokani; mpe asalisaki feti monene elongo na basali na ye nyonso.
16 Then came there two women, [that were] harlots, unto the king, and stood before him.
Basi ya ndumba mibale bayaki epai ya mokonzi mpe batelemaki liboso na ye.
17 And the one woman said, O my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house; and I was delivered of a child with her in the house.
Moko na bango alobaki: — Nabondeli yo, nkolo na ngai, yoka ngai! Ngai mpe mwasi oyo, tovandaka ndako moko. Tozalaki na ye na ndako tango nabotaki mwana.
18 And it came to pass the third day after that I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also: and we [were] together; [there was] no stranger with us in the house, save we two in the house.
Na mokolo ya misato sima na mbotama ya mwana na ngai, mwasi oyo mpe abotaki. Tozalaki kaka biso moko kati na ndako, moto mosusu azalaki te, kaka biso mibale.
19 And this woman’s child died in the night; because she overlaid it.
Nzokande, na butu, alalelaki mwana na ye, mpe mwana yango akufaki.
20 And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.
Bongo, na kati-kati ya butu, alamukaki, alongolaki mwana na ngai pembeni na ngai, wana ngai, mwasi mowumbu na yo, nazalaki ya kolala, mpe atiaki ye na tolo na ye; mpe atiaki mwana na ye, oyo akufaki, na tolo na ngai.
21 And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, which I did bear.
Na tongo, tango nalamuki mpo na komelisa mwana na ngai mabele, namoni ete mwana azali ya kokufa. Kasi tango natali ye penza malamu, kaka na tongo yango, namoni ete ezali mwana na ngai te, oyo ngai nabotaki!
22 And the other woman said, Nay; but the living [is] my son, and the dead [is] thy son. And this said, No; but the dead [is] thy son, and the living [is] my son. Thus they spake before the king.
Mwasi mosusu alobaki: — Te, ezali lokuta! Mwana oyo azali na bomoi azali mwana na ngai, kasi oyo akufi azali mwana na yo! Kasi mwasi oyo azwaki maloba liboso alobaki lisusu: — Te! Mwana oyo akufi azali mwana na yo, kasi oyo ya bomoi azali nde mwana na ngai! Na bongo, bakomaki koswana liboso ya mokonzi.
23 Then said the king, The one saith, This [is] my son that liveth, and thy son [is] the dead: and the other saith, Nay; but thy son [is] the dead, and my son [is] the living.
Mokonzi alobaki: — Moko azali koloba: « Mwana oyo azali na bomoi azali mwana na ngai, kasi mwana ya kokufa azali nde mwana na yo! » Wana mosusu azali mpe koloba: « Te! Mwana oyo akufi azali mwana na yo, kasi mwana ya bomoi azali nde mwana na ngai! »
24 And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king.
Boye, mokonzi alobaki lisusu: — Bomemela ngai mopanga! Bamemelaki mokonzi mopanga.
25 And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.
Mokonzi apesaki mitindo: — Bokata mwana oyo azali na bomoi na biteni mibale, bopesa eteni moko na mwasi moko; mpe eteni mosusu, na mwasi mosusu.
26 Then spake the woman whose the living child [was] unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, [but] divide [it].
Mwasi oyo mwana na ye azalaki na bomoi, ayokaki pasi na motema mpo na mwana na ye mpe alobaki na mokonzi: — Nabondeli yo, nkolo na ngai! Pesa ye mwana oyo azali na bomoi, koboma mwana te! Kasi mwasi mosusu alobaki: — Kata ye! Na bongo, akozala ya ngai te, mpe akozala ya ye te!
27 Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no wise slay it: she [is] the mother thereof.
Boye, mokonzi akataki likambo, alobaki: — Boboma mwana te! Bopesa mwana oyo azali na bomoi epai ya mwasi ya liboso, pamba te ye nde azali mama na ye.
28 And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God [was] in him, to do judgment.
Tango Isalaele mobimba bayokaki ndenge mokonzi akataki likambo oyo, babangaki mokonzi mpo ete bamonaki ete azali solo na bwanya ya Nzambe mpo na kokata makambo na bosembo.
