< 1 John 1 >
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
Tangsuek hoiah kaom, a thaih o moe, mik hoiah a hnuk o ih, a khet o moe, ban hoiah a sui o ih, hinghaih Lok to ni aicae mah a thuih o;
2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen [it], and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us; ) (aiōnios )
(to hinghaih loe amtueng boeh moe, a hnuk o boeh, hnukung ah a oh o moe, Ampa hoi nawnto kaom, aicae khaeah kamtueng, dungzan hinghaih to nangcae khaeah amtuengsak boeh; ) (aiōnios )
3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
kaicae hoi angkomhaih na tawnh o thai hanah ka hnuk o moe, ka thaih o ih hmuen to nangcae khaeah kang thuih o: kaicae angkomhaih loe Sithaw hoi a Capa Jesu Kri hoiah kaom angkomhaih ah ni oh.
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
Nangcae anghoehaih koepsak hanah hae ca hae kang tarik o.
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Anih khae hoi ka thaih o moe, nangcae khaeah kang thuih o ih lok loe, Sithaw loe aanghaih ah oh, anih khaeah vinghaih tih ta doeh om ai, tiah kaom lok hae ni.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
Aicae mah Anih hoi angkomhaih ka tawnh o boeh, tiah a thuih o moe, vinghaih thungah a caeh o nahaeloe, aicae loe loktang hoiah a hing o ai, lok amlai kami ah ni a oh o vop.
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Toe anih loe aanghaih thungah oh baktih toengah, aanghaih thungah a caeh o nahaeloe, maeto hoi maeto angkomhaih to a tawnh o moe, a Capa Jesu Kri ih athii mah aicae zaehaihnawk to ang pasaeh pae.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Aicae mah zaehaih ka tawn o ai, tiah a thuih o nahaeloe, aimah hoi aimah angling kami ah ni a oh o, loktang aicae thungah om ai.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Zaehaih a taphong o nahaeloe, aicae zaehaih to tahmen moe, katoeng ai hmuennawk boih ciimcaisak hanah, anih loe oepthok katoeng Sithaw ah oh.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Aicae mah ka zae o ai, tiah a thuih o nahaeloe, aicae thungah a lok to om ai pongah, anih to lok amlai kami ah a suek o.
