< 1 Corinthians 11 >

1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ.
Khritaw üng ka ngtheia mäiha na ngthei na ua.
2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered [them] to you.
Nangmi naw angläta na süm u lü ka ning jah mtheimthangnak he nami ja läklama phäha ning jah mküiei veng.
3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman [is] the man; and the head of Christ [is] God.
Kpami hea lu cun Khritaw ni, nghnumia lu cun kpami ni, Khritawa lu cun Pamhnam ni tia nami ksing vai hlüei veng.
4 Every man praying or prophesying, having [his] head covered, dishonoureth his head.
Kpami a lu khüm lü ktaiyü lü ngthu pyenki cun Khritawa thangmsetki ni.
5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with [her] head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
Acunüng, nghnumi naw a lu am bu lü khyang ksunga Pamhnama ngthu a pyen üng a ceia thangmsetki ni, acukba akya üngta a lukkanga veki nghnumi üng am hngalang ni.
6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
Nghnumi naw a lu am a bu üngta a lu kteih kawm. Nghnumia phäh lu kteih cun seteinaka kyakia kyase a lu a bu vai.
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover [his] head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
Kpami naw a lu a bu vai am hlü, isetiakyaküng ani cun Pamhnama müihmai mdankia kyaki. Nghnumi cun naw kpamia müihmai mdanki.
8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
Kpami cun nghnumi üngkhyüh ngtüi lawkia am kya; nghnumi cun kpami üngkhyüh ngtüi lawkia kyaki.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
Kpami cun nghnumia phäha am kya lü nghnumi cun kpamia phäha kyaki.
10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on [her] head because of the angels.
Khankhawngsä hea phäha nghnumi cun naw kpamia kea veki ti cun a mdannaka a lu bu kawm.
11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
Acunsepi Bawipa üng, kpami pi nghnumi kaa am cawm, nghnumi pi kpami kaa am cawm thei, ani nghngih mat jah mat hlüeiki xawi ni.
12 For as the woman [is] of the man, even so [is] the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
Nghnumi cun kpami üngkhyüh a ngtüi lawa mäiha, kpami pi nghnumi üngka naw hmi lawkia kyaki, acunsepi, avan naküt cun Pamhnam üngka naw ngtüi lawki.
13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
Nami mät ngai ua, nghnumi naw a lü am khüm lü Pamhnama veia a ktaiyü hin nglawi ki aw?
14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
Kpami a lusam a sei üng hmuseki ti cun nami ksingeiki.
15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for [her] hair is given her for a covering.
Nghnumia lusam a sei cun a ngtonaka kyaki. A lusam cun a lu bunak vaia peta kyaki.
16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
Ahin cun Pamhnama sangcim avan üng thuma kyaki. Acunakyase nangmi üng u naw pi hina ka pyen cun a na ngcuhpüi vaia am kya.
17 Now in this that I declare [unto you] I praise [you] not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
Hina mawng üng, sawkhah khaia nami ngcunak üng akdawa kthaka setsakia kyase am ning jah mküiei veng.
18 For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
Akcüka nami ngbämnak ning jah kehlankie veki tia ka ning jah mtheh päng ni. Acun hin avang cang khaia jum veng.
19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
Nami ksunga cangki a ngdangnak vaia ngpainak ve kung khai.
20 When ye come together therefore into one place, [this] is not to eat the Lord’s supper.
Atänga ngcun law u lü nami ei cun Bawipa müei nami eikia am kya.
21 For in eating every one taketh before [other] his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
Nami ei üng nami mäta ka nami eikia kyase avang jah khyawtei se avang eiaw ktatkie.
22 What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise [you] not.
Eiawknak vai im am nami takie aw? Am acunüng Pamhnama sangcim hmumsit u lü, i am takie nami jah ngkeeisakie aw? Ahina phäha i ka pyen vai nami ngjak'hlüki ni? Ning jah mküiei vai aw? Am ning jah mküiei veng.
23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the [same] night in which he was betrayed took bread:
Ngthu ka ning jah mtheh hin Bawipa üngka ka yah ni: acun kba Bawipa Jesuh naw ami jawiheia mthan üng muk lo lü,
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake [it], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Pamhnama veia Jenaka ngthu pyen lü, boki naw, “Hin hin nami phäha ka pumsa ni. Nami na sümnak vaia ahin hin pawh ua,” a ti.
25 After the same manner also [he took] the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me.
Acukba Müei ami ei käna, khawt lo lü “Hina khawt cun ka thisen am msinga ngthumkhän kthaia kyaki. Nami awk naküt üng nami na sümnak nglät vaia pawh ua,” a ti.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
Ahina muk ei u lü, khawt nami awk naküt üng Bawipa a law be vei cäpa a thihnak nami sangki tinaka kyaki ni.
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink [this] cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
Acunakyase, a u pi, am nglawi xa se muk ei lü Bawipa khawt awki cun Bawipa pumsa ja a thisen mkhyekatnakia kyaki.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of [that] bread, and drink of [that] cup.
Acunakyase a u naw pi, muk ja khawt üngka a eiawka kcük üng amät naw amät ksükcetei ma kawm.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
Bawipa a pumsaa suilam am ksing lü muk ei lü khawt üngka na awk üng, na mäta khana ngthumkhyahnak cun na eiawknak am na phaei law saki ni.
30 For this cause many [are] weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
Acunakyase ni avange am yai u lü, avange jah mhnatei se, khawjah thikie.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
Akcüka mimät naw mimät mi ksükcetei kyu üng Pamhnama ngthumkhyahnaka keha am mi pha.
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
Bawipa naw ngthu jah mkhyah lü a jah mkhuimkha cun, khawmdek am atänga am a jah mkateinak vaia a jah yuhnaka kyaki ni.
33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
Acunakyase, ka püie, Bawipa müei nami ei khaia atänga nami ngcun law üng nami püi k'äih ua.
34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
Nami ngcun law üng Pamhnama ngthumkhyahnak am nami khameinak vaia, ei nami cawi üng nami ima nami ei vai sü. Akcea phäha ta ka law be üng ka ning jah mthehei law khai.
