1 Corinthians 1
1 Paul, called [to be] an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes [our] brother,
யாவந்த: பவித்ரா லோகா: ஸ்வேஷாம் அஸ்மாகஞ்ச வஸதிஸ்தா²நேஷ்வஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸோ²: க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய நாம்நா ப்ரார்த²யந்தே தை: ஸஹாஹூதாநாம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டேந யீஸு²நா பவித்ரீக்ரு’தாநாம்’ லோகாநாம்’ ய ஈஸ்²வரீயத⁴ர்ம்மஸமாஜ: கரிந்த²நக³ரே வித்³யதே
2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called [to be] saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
தம்’ ப்ரதீஸ்²வரஸ்யேச்ச²யாஹூதோ யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ப்ரேரித: பௌல: ஸோஸ்தி²நிநாமா ப்⁴ராதா ச பத்ரம்’ லிக²தி|
3 Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ.
அஸ்மாகம்’ பித்ரேஸ்²வரேண ப்ரபு⁴நா யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேந ச ப்ரஸாத³: ஸா²ந்திஸ்²ச யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ தீ³யதாம்’|
4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;
ஈஸ்²வரோ யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேந யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி ப்ரஸாத³ம்’ ப்ரகாஸி²தவாந், தஸ்மாத³ஹம்’ யுஷ்மந்நிமித்தம்’ ஸர்வ்வதா³ மதீ³யேஸ்²வரம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ வதா³மி|
5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and [in] all knowledge;
க்²ரீஷ்டஸம்ப³ந்தீ⁴யம்’ ஸாக்ஷ்யம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யே யேந ப்ரகாரேண ஸப்ரமாணம் அப⁴வத்
6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
தேந யூயம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டாத் ஸர்வ்வவித⁴வக்த்ரு’தாஜ்ஞாநாதீ³நி ஸர்வ்வத⁴நாநி லப்³த⁴வந்த: |
7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
ததோ(அ)ஸ்மத்ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய புநராக³மநம்’ ப்ரதீக்ஷமாணாநாம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ கஸ்யாபி வரஸ்யாபா⁴வோ ந ப⁴வதி|
8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, [that ye may be] blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
அபரம் அஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய தி³வஸே யூயம்’ யந்நிர்த்³தோ³ஷா ப⁴வேத தத³ர்த²ம்’ ஸஏவ யாவத³ந்தம்’ யுஷ்மாந் ஸுஸ்தி²ராந் கரிஷ்யதி|
9 God [is] faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
ய ஈஸ்²வர: ஸ்வபுத்ரஸ்யாஸ்மத்ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்யாம்’ஸி²ந: கர்த்தும்’ யுஷ்மாந் ஆஹூதவாந் ஸ விஸ்²வஸநீய: |
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: , அஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபு⁴யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய நாம்நா யுஷ்மாந் விநயே(அ)ஹம்’ ஸர்வ்வை ர்யுஷ்மாபி⁴ரேகரூபாணி வாக்யாநி கத்²யந்தாம்’ யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴யே பி⁴ந்நஸங்கா⁴தா ந ப⁴வந்து மநோவிசாரயோரைக்யேந யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸித்³த⁴த்வம்’ ப⁴வது|
11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them [which are of the house] of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
ஹே மம ப்⁴ராதரோ யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴யே விவாதா³ ஜாதா இதி வார்த்தாமஹம்’ க்லோய்யா: பரிஜநை ர்ஜ்ஞாபித: |
12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
மமாபி⁴ப்ரேதமித³ம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ கஸ்²சித் கஸ்²சித்³ வத³தி பௌலஸ்ய ஸி²ஷ்யோ(அ)ஹம் ஆபல்லோ: ஸி²ஷ்யோ(அ)ஹம்’ கைபா²: ஸி²ஷ்யோ(அ)ஹம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ஸி²ஷ்யோ(அ)ஹமிதி ச|
13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய கிம்’ விபே⁴த³: க்ரு’த: ? பௌல: கிம்’ யுஷ்மத்க்ரு’தே க்ருஸே² ஹத: ? பௌலஸ்ய நாம்நா வா யூயம்’ கிம்’ மஜ்ஜிதா: ?
14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
க்ரிஷ்பகா³யௌ விநா யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யே(அ)ந்ய: கோ(அ)பி மயா ந மஜ்ஜித இதி ஹேதோரஹம் ஈஸ்²வரம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ வதா³மி|
15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
ஏதேந மம நாம்நா மாநவா மயா மஜ்ஜிதா இதி வக்தும்’ கேநாபி ந ஸ²க்யதே|
16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.
அபரம்’ ஸ்திபா²நஸ்ய பரிஜநா மயா மஜ்ஜிதாஸ்தத³ந்ய: கஸ்²சித்³ யந்மயா மஜ்ஜிதஸ்தத³ஹம்’ ந வேத்³மி|
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
க்²ரீஷ்டேநாஹம்’ மஜ்ஜநார்த²ம்’ ந ப்ரேரித: கிந்து ஸுஸம்’வாத³ஸ்ய ப்ரசாரார்த²மேவ; ஸோ(அ)பி வாக்படுதயா மயா ந ப்ரசாரிதவ்ய: , யதஸ்ததா² ப்ரசாரிதே க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய க்ருஸே² ம்ரு’த்யு: ப²லஹீநோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
யதோ ஹேதோ ர்யே விநஸ்²யந்தி தே தாம்’ க்ருஸ²ஸ்ய வார்த்தாம்’ ப்ரலாபமிவ மந்யந்தே கிஞ்ச பரித்ராணம்’ லப⁴மாநேஷ்வஸ்மாஸு ஸா ஈஸ்²வரீயஸ²க்திஸ்வரூபா|
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
தஸ்மாதி³த்த²ம்’ லிகி²தமாஸ்தே, ஜ்ஞாநவதாந்து யத் ஜ்ஞாநம்’ தந்மயா நாஸ²யிஷ்யதே| விலோபயிஷ்யதே தத்³வத்³ பு³த்³தி⁴ ர்ப³த்³தி⁴மதாம்’ மயா||
20 Where [is] the wise? where [is] the scribe? where [is] the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (aiōn g165)
ஜ்ஞாநீ குத்ர? ஸா²ஸ்த்ரீ வா குத்ர? இஹலோகஸ்ய விசாரதத்பரோ வா குத்ர? இஹலோகஸ்ய ஜ்ஞாநம்’ கிமீஸ்²வரேண மோஹீக்ரு’தம்’ நஹி? (aiōn g165)
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஜ்ஞாநாத்³ இஹலோகஸ்ய மாநவா: ஸ்வஜ்ஞாநேநேஸ்²வரஸ்ய தத்த்வபோ³த⁴ம்’ ந ப்ராப்தவந்தஸ்தஸ்மாத்³ ஈஸ்²வர: ப்ரசாரரூபிணா ப்ரலாபேந விஸ்²வாஸிந: பரித்ராதும்’ ரோசிதவாந்|
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
யிஹூதீ³யலோகா லக்ஷணாநி தி³த்³ரு’க்ஷந்தி பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸீ²யலோகாஸ்து வித்³யாம்’ ம்ரு’க³யந்தே,
23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
வயஞ்ச க்ருஸே² ஹதம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டம்’ ப்ரசாரயாம: | தஸ்ய ப்ரசாரோ யிஹூதீ³யை ர்விக்⁴ந இவ பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸீ²யைஸ்²ச ப்ரலாப இவ மந்யதே,
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
கிந்து யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸீ²யாநாஞ்ச மத்⁴யே யே ஆஹூதாஸ்தேஷு ஸ க்²ரீஷ்ட ஈஸ்²வரீயஸ²க்திரிவேஸ்²வரீயஜ்ஞாநமிவ ச ப்ரகாஸ²தே|
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
யத ஈஸ்²வரே ய: ப்ரலாப ஆரோப்யதே ஸ மாநவாதிரிக்தம்’ ஜ்ஞாநமேவ யச்ச தௌ³ர்ப்³ப³ல்யம் ஈஸ்²வர ஆரோப்யதே தத் மாநவாதிரிக்தம்’ ப³லமேவ|
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, [are called]:
ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: , ஆஹூதயுஷ்மத்³க³ணோ யஷ்மாபி⁴ராலோக்யதாம்’ தந்மத்⁴யே ஸாம்’ஸாரிகஜ்ஞாநேந ஜ்ஞாநவந்த: பராக்ரமிணோ வா குலீநா வா ப³ஹவோ ந வித்³யந்தே|
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
யத ஈஸ்²வரோ ஜ்ஞாநவதஸ்த்ரபயிதும்’ மூர்க²லோகாந் ரோசிதவாந் ப³லாநி ச த்ரபயிதும் ஈஸ்²வரோ து³ர்ப்³ப³லாந் ரோசிதவாந்|
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, [yea], and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
ததா² வர்த்தமாநலோகாந் ஸம்’ஸ்தி²திப்⁴ரஷ்டாந் கர்த்தும் ஈஸ்²வரோ ஜக³தோ(அ)பக்ரு’ஷ்டாந் ஹேயாந் அவர்த்தமாநாம்’ஸ்²சாபி⁴ரோசிதவாந்|
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
தத ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷாத் கேநாப்யாத்மஸ்²லாகா⁴ ந கர்த்தவ்யா|
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
யூயஞ்ச தஸ்மாத் க்²ரீஷ்டே யீஸௌ² ஸம்’ஸ்தி²திம்’ ப்ராப்தவந்த: ஸ ஈஸ்²வராத்³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஜ்ஞாநம்’ புண்யம்’ பவித்ரத்வம்’ முக்திஸ்²ச ஜாதா|
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
அதஏவ யத்³வத்³ லிகி²தமாஸ்தே தத்³வத், ய: கஸ்²சித் ஸ்²லாக⁴மாந: ஸ்யாத் ஸ்²லாக⁴தாம்’ ப்ரபு⁴நா ஸ ஹி|
