1 Chronicles 12
1 Now these [are] they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they [were] among the mighty men, helpers of the war.
Có những người theo Đa-vít lúc ông đang lánh ở Xiếc-lác vì Sau-lơ, con của Kích, lùng bắt. Họ là những chiến sĩ anh dũng chiến đấu bên cạnh ông sau này.
2 [They were] armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in [hurling] stones and [shooting] arrows out of a bow, [even] of Saul’s brethren of Benjamin.
Những người ấy toàn là tay thiện xạ, cầm cung, và ná bằng tay trái cũng thiện nghệ như tay phải. Họ đều là người Bên-gia-min, đồng tộc với Sau-lơ.
3 The chief [was] Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite,
Người chỉ huy là A-hi-ê-xe, con Sê-ma ở Ghi-bê-a, với em là Giô-ách, là phó chỉ huy. Sau đây là tên những chiến sĩ khác: Giê-xi-ên và Phê-lết, con Ách-ma-vết; Bê-rê-ca; Giê-hu ở A-na-tốt;
4 And Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,
Gít-mai-gia ở Ga-ba-ôn, anh dũng ngang hàng hoặc còn hơn cả nhóm Ba Mươi; Giê-rê-mi, Gia-ha-xi-ên, Giô-ha-nan, và Giô-xa-bát ở Ghê-đê-ra;
5 Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,
Ê-lu-xai, Giê-ri-mốt, Bê-a-lia, Sê-ma-ri-a, và Sê-pha-tia ở Ha-rốp;
6 Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korhites,
Ên-ca-na, Di-si-gia, A-xa-rên, Giô-ê-xe, và Gia-sô-bê-am người Cô-rê;
7 And Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
Giô-ê-la và Xê-ba-đia, con Giê-rô-ham ở Ghê-đô.
8 And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, [and] men of war [fit] for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces [were like] the faces of lions, and [were] as swift as the roes upon the mountains;
Cũng có những chiến sĩ từ đất Gát đến theo Đa-vít lúc ông đang ẩn náu giữa một vùng hoang vu. Họ là những người dũng cảm, thiện chiến, chuyên sử dụng khiên và thương, diện mạo như sư tử, nhanh nhẹn như nai rừng.
9 Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
Người lãnh đạo thứ nhất là Ê-xe. Ô-ba-đia, thứ hai. Ê-li-áp, thứ ba.
10 Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
Mích-ma-na, thứ tư. Giê-rê-mi, thứ năm.
11 Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
Ạt-tai, thứ sáu. Ê-li-ên, thứ bảy.
12 Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
Giô-ha-nan, thứ tám. Ên-xa-bát, thứ chín.
13 Jeremiah the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.
Giê-rê-mi, thứ mười. Mác-ba-nai, thứ mười một.
14 These [were] of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least [was] over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.
Đó là mười một tướng chỉ huy trong quân đội đến từ Gát. Những người cấp dưới chỉ huy hàng trăm, người cấp trên chỉ huy hàng nghìn!
15 These [are] they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had overflown all his banks; and they put to flight all [them] of the valleys, [both] toward the east, and toward the west.
Họ vượt Sông Giô-đan vào giữa tháng giêng, lúc nước dâng ngập bờ, đánh chiếm các thung lũng miền đông và miền tây.
16 And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.
Có những người từ đại tộc Bên-gia-min và Giu-đa đến nơi Đa-vít ẩn náu để gặp ông.
17 And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if [ye be come] to betray me to mine enemies, seeing [there is] no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look [thereon], and rebuke [it].
Ông ra chào đón, bảo họ: “Nếu anh em đến với tình thân hữu để giúp tôi, tôi sẽ tận tình với anh em. Nhưng nếu có ai định tâm phản trắc, tiết lộ bí mật của tôi cho địch, mặc dù tôi không làm điều gì sai trái với anh em, xin Đức Chúa Trời của tổ tiên ta chứng giám và trừng phạt những người ấy.”
18 Then the spirit came upon Amasai, [who was] chief of the captains, [and he said], Thine [are we], David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace [be] unto thee, and peace [be] to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
Lúc ấy, Chúa Thánh Linh đến cùng A-ma-sai, người đứng đầu nhóm Ba Mươi. Ông đáp lời: “Chúng tôi là người của Đa-vít! Chúng tôi về phe ông, Gie-sê. Cầu chúc ông và những người giúp ông đều được bình an, vì Đức Chúa Trời là Đấng giúp đỡ ông.” Vậy, Đa-vít thu nhận họ làm quan chỉ huy trong quân đội.
19 And there fell [some] of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to [the jeopardy of] our heads.
Lại có những người Ma-na-se bỏ hàng ngũ Ít-ra-ên theo Đa-vít khi ông cùng với người Phi-li-tin đi đánh Sau-lơ. Nhưng về sau, các nhà lãnh đạo Phi-li-tin hội thảo, rồi bảo Đa-vít quay về, vì họ nói rằng: “Chúng ta sẽ trả giá bằng đầu của mình nếu Đa-vít quay về với Sau-lơ và chống lại chúng ta.”
20 As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that [were] of Manasseh.
Những người Ma-na-se theo Đa-vít lúc ông trên đường về Xiếc-lác gồm có: Át-na, Giô-xa-bát, Giê-đi-a-ên, Mi-ca-ên, Giô-sa-bát, Ê-li-hu, và Xi-lê-thai. Mỗi người là tướng chỉ huy hàng nghìn quân từ đại tộc Ma-na-se.
21 And they helped David against the band [of the rovers: ] for they [were] all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host.
Họ đã giúp Đa-vít dẹp bọn giặc cướp, vì họ là những người can đảm và trở nên tướng chỉ huy trong quân đội của ông.
22 For at [that] time day by day there came to David to help him, until [it was] a great host, like the host of God.
Và cứ thế, ngày nào cũng có người theo Đa-vít, cho đến khi ông có một quân đội hùng mạnh như quân của Đức Chúa Trời.
23 And these [are] the numbers of the bands [that were] ready armed to the war, [and] came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.
Sau đây là các đơn vị chiến đấu tập họp quanh Đa-vít tại Hếp-rôn, vì tin tưởng vương quốc của Sau-lơ sẽ về tay Đa-vít, theo lời Chúa Hằng Hữu đã hứa.
24 The children of Judah that bare shield and spear [were] six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.
Từ đại tộc Giu-đa có 6.800 người trang bị bằng khiên và giáo.
25 Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.
Từ đại tộc Si-mê-ôn có 7.100 chiến sĩ dũng cảm.
26 Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
Từ đại tộc Lê-vi có 4.600 người.
27 And Jehoiada [was] the leader of the Aaronites, and with him [were] three thousand and seven hundred;
Cũng có đạo quân của Giê-hô-gia-đa con cháu A-rôn, gồm 3.700 người.
28 And Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father’s house twenty and two captains.
Lại có Xa-đốc, một thanh niên anh dũng, và 22 người khác trong gia đình ông đều là những quan chỉ huy.
29 And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.
Từ đại tộc Bên-gia-min, họ hàng của Sau-lơ, có 3.000 người. Tuy nhiên, cho đến lúc ấy, đa số người Bên-gia-min vẫn trung thành với Sau-lơ.
30 And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers.
Từ đại tộc Ép-ra-im, 20.800 chiến sĩ dũng cảm, là những người có tiếng trong gia tộc.
31 And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, which were expressed by name, to come and make David king.
Từ nửa đại tộc Ma-na-se, phía tây Giô-đan có 18.000 chiến sĩ. Họ theo Đa-vít để ủng hộ ông lên ngôi làm vua.
32 And of the children of Issachar, [which were men] that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them [were] two hundred; and all their brethren [were] at their commandment.
Từ đại tộc Y-sa-ca, có 200 nhà lãnh đạo những anh em đồng tộc. Họ là những người biết thời cơ, am hiểu đường tiến thoái của dân.
33 Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: [they were] not of double heart.
Từ đại tộc Sa-bu-luân, có 50.000 binh sĩ thiện chiến. Họ được trang bị đầy đủ khí giới và hết lòng trung thành với Đa-vít.
34 And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.
Từ đại tộc Nép-ta-li, có 1.000 quan chỉ huy và 37.000 binh sĩ trang bị bằng khiên và giáo.
35 And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.
Từ đại tộc Đan, có 28.600 binh sĩ, tất cả được trang bị sẵn sàng ra trận.
36 And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.
Từ đại tộc A-se có 40.000 binh sĩ được huấn luyện sẵn sàng ra trận.
37 And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.
Từ phía đông Sông Giô-đan—nơi của đại tộc Ru-bên, đại tộc Gát, và phân nửa đại tộc Ma-na-se sống, có 120.000 binh sĩ được trang bị đủ loại khí giới.
38 All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel [were] of one heart to make David king.
Tất cả những người này kéo đến Hếp-rôn theo đội ngũ, một lòng phò Đa-vít làm vua Ít-ra-ên. Đồng thời, lòng dân nghiêng về Đa-vít.
39 And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
Họ ở lại với Đa-vít ba ngày. Cuộc họp mặt này được chuẩn bị trước, và ai nấy ăn uống no nê vui vẻ.
40 Moreover they that were nigh them, [even] unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, [and] meat, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly: for [there was] joy in Israel.
Từ những miền lân cận cũng như những nơi xa xôi tận đất Y-sa-ca, Sa-bu-luân, và Nép-ta-li, người ta dùng lừa, lạc đà, la và bò chở lương thực đến, gồm bột mì, bánh trái vả, nho, rượu, dầu, và cả bò và chiên vô số. Niềm hân hoan lan tràn khắp Ít-ra-ên.
