Titus 3
1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
| ܘܗܘܝܬ ܡܥܗܕ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܠܪܫܐ ܘܠܫܠܝܛܢܐ ܢܫܬܡܥܘܢ ܘܢܫܬܥܒܕܘܢ ܘܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܥܬܝܕܝܢ ܠܟܠ ܥܒܕ ܛܒ |
2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, showing all meekness unto all men.
| ܘܥܠ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܢܓܕܦܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܡܬܟܬܫܝܢ ܐܠܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܡܟܝܟܝܢ ܘܒܟܠܡܕܡ ܢܚܘܘܢ ܒܤܝܡܘܬܗܘܢ ܠܘܬ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ |
3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
| ܐܦ ܚܢܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܕܠܐ ܪܥܝܢܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܘܕܠܐ ܦܝܤܐ ܘܛܥܝܢ ܗܘܝܢ ܘܡܫܥܒܕܝܢ ܗܘܝܢ ܠܐܪܓܝܓܬܐ ܡܫܚܠܦܬܐ ܘܒܒܝܫܘܬܐ ܘܒܚܤܡܐ ܡܬܗܦܟܝܢ ܗܘܝܢ ܘܤܢܝܐܝܝܢ ܗܘܝܢ ܐܦ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ ܤܢܝܢ ܗܘܝܢ |
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
| ܟܕ ܕܝܢ ܐܬܓܠܝܬ ܒܤܝܡܘܬܗ ܘܡܪܚܡܢܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܚܝܢܢ |
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit; (pneuma)
| ܠܐ ܒܥܒܕܐ ܕܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܕܥܒܕܢ ܐܠܐ ܒܪܚܡܘܗܝ ܕܝܠܗ ܐܚܝܢ ܒܤܚܬܐ ܕܡܘܠܕܐ ܕܡܢ ܕܪܝܫ ܘܒܚܘܕܬܐ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ |
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
| ܗܝ ܕܐܫܕ ܥܠܝܢ ܥܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܒܝܕ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܡܚܝܢܢ |
7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
| ܕܒܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܢܙܕܕܩ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܝܪܬܐ ܒܤܒܪܐ ܒܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios g166) |
8 This is a faithful saying, (logos) and these things I will that you affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
| ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܗܝ ܡܠܬܐ ܘܒܗܠܝܢ ܨܒܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܦ ܐܢܬ ܗܘܝܬ ܡܫܪܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܢܬܒܛܠ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܡܦܠܚ ܥܒܕܐ ܛܒܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܗܝܡܢܘ ܒܐܠܗܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܢܝܢ ܛܒܢ ܘܡܘܬܪܢ ܠܒܢܝܢܫܐ |
9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are useless and vain.
| ܡܢ ܒܥܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܤܟܠܬܐ ܘܡܢ ܬܫܥܝܬܐ ܕܫܪܒܬܐ ܘܡܢ ܚܪܝܢܐ ܘܡܢ ܬܟܬܘܫܐ ܕܤܦܪܐ ܐܫܬܐܠ ܝܘܬܪܢ ܓܝܪ ܠܝܬ ܒܗܝܢ ܘܤܪܝܩܢ ܐܢܝܢ |
10 A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject;
| ܡܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܗܪܤܝܘܛܐ ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܚܕܐ ܙܒܢ ܘܬܪܬܝܢ ܕܡܪܬܐ ܐܢܬ ܠܗ ܐܫܬܐܠ |
11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sins, being condemned of himself.
| ܘܗܘܝܬ ܝܕܥ ܕܡܢ ܕܗܟܢܐ ܗܘ ܡܥܩܡ ܗܘ ܘܚܛܐ ܘܗܘ ܚܝܒ ܢܦܫܗ |
12 When I shall send Artemas unto you, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.
| ܡܐ ܕܫܕܪܬ ܠܘܬܟ ܠܐܪܛܡܐ ܐܘ ܠܛܘܟܝܩܘܤ ܢܬܒܛܠ ܠܟ ܕܬܐܬܐ ܠܘܬܝ ܠܢܝܩܦܘܠܝܤ ܬܡܢ ܓܝܪ ܤܡܬ ܒܪܥܝܢܝ ܕܐܤܬܐ |
13 Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be lacking unto them.
| ܥܠ ܙܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܤܦܪܐ ܘܥܠ ܐܦܠܘ ܢܬܒܛܠ ܠܟ ܕܬܠܘܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܫܦܝܪ ܕܡܕܡ ܠܐ ܢܚܤܪ ܠܗܘܢ |
14 And let our's also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
| ܘܢܐܠܦܘܢ ܐܦ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܝܠܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܦܠܚܝܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܛܒܐ ܒܨܒܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܨܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܦܐܪܐ |
15 All that are with me salute you. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.
| ܫܐܠܝܢ ܒܫܠܡܟ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܥܡܝ ܐܢܘܢ ܫܐܠ ܒܫܠܡܐ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܪܚܡܝܢ ܠܢ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܥܡ ܟܠܟܘܢ ܐܡܝܢ |
