Psalms 72
1 Give the king your judgments, O God, and your righteousness unto the king's son.
Por Salomão. Deus, dê ao rei sua justiça; sua justiça para com o filho real.
2 He shall judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with judgment.
Ele julgará seu povo com retidão, e seus pobres com justiça.
3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.
As montanhas devem trazer prosperidade para o povo. As colinas trazem o fruto da retidão.
4 He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
Ele julgará os pobres do povo. Ele salvará as crianças dos necessitados, e quebrará o opressor em pedaços.
5 They shall fear you as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
Eles o temerão enquanto o sol durar; e enquanto a lua, ao longo de todas as gerações.
6 He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.
Ele descerá como chuva sobre a grama cortada, como chuveiros que regam a terra.
7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endures.
Em seus dias, os justos devem florescer, e abundância de paz, até que a lua não seja mais.
8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
Ele terá domínio também de mar a mar, do rio até os confins da terra.
9 They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
Those que habitam no deserto se curvarão diante dele. Seus inimigos devem lamber a poeira.
10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
Os reis de Tarshish e das ilhas trarão tributo. Os reis de Sheba e Seba devem oferecer presentes.
11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
Yes, todos os reis devem cair diante dele. Todas as nações devem servi-lo.
12 For he shall deliver the needy when he cries; the poor also, and him that has no helper.
Pois ele entregará os necessitados quando ele chorar; os pobres, que não têm nenhum ajudante.
13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
Ele terá piedade dos pobres e necessitados. Ele salvará as almas dos necessitados.
14 He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.
Ele resgatará sua alma da opressão e da violência. O sangue deles será precioso à sua vista.
15 And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.
Ele viverá; e o ouro de Sheba será dado a ele. Os homens rezarão por ele continuamente. Eles o abençoarão durante todo o dia.
16 There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
Abundância de grãos deve estar em toda a terra. Seus frutos se espalham como o Líbano. Deixe-o florescer, florescendo como a grama do campo.
17 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
Seu nome perdura para sempre. Seu nome continua enquanto o sol brilha. Os homens serão abençoados por ele. Todas as nações o chamarão de abençoado.
18 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only does wondrous things.
Louvado seja Deus Iavé, o Deus de Israel, que por si só faz obras maravilhosas.
19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
Bendito seja seu nome glorioso para sempre! Que toda a terra seja preenchida com sua glória! Amém e amém.
20 The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.
This termina as orações de David, o filho de Jesse.
