Psalms 59
1 Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.
達味金詩，交與樂官。調寄「莫要毀壞」。 我主，求你由我的仇敵中，救我免難，求你從攻擊我者中，使戈脫險；
2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
求你救我脫離為非作歹的人，求你救我脫離好流人血的人。
3 For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD.
上主，你看，我雖然沒有作過惡，沒有犯過罪，但強橫人為害我的性命，卻群起與我作對。
4 They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.
我雖然無辜，他們卻跑來挑戰，求你醒來扶助我，且予以察看。
5 You therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. (Selah)
因為你是上主，萬軍的天主，以色列的天主，醒來嚴罰這些群眾，別恩待這些背信的惡徒。
6 They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
他們晚上歸來，狂吠如犬，他們環繞城池，四周圍轉。
7 Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, does hear?
看，他們的唇舌宛如利劍，且滿口傲慢說：有誰聽見？
8 But you, O LORD, shall laugh at them; you shall have all the heathen in derision.
但是你，上主，你必嘲笑他們，你必譏諷這般異民。
9 Because of his strength will I wait upon you: for God is my defence.
我的力量，我只有仰望於你，因為你是天主，是我的堡壘。
10 The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.
願那愛我的天主援助我，使我因仇敵失敗而歡樂！
11 Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by your power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
天主，求你擊殺他們，免得侵犯我的人民；上主，我的謢盾，你以強力制服他們。
12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.
他們口唇所說的話語：就是他們口舌的罪過，他們因自己的驕傲咒罵與謊言，自陷網羅！
13 Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God rules in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. (Selah)
求你發怒滅絕他們，滅絕他們無一存立，使人知道：天主在雅各伯為王直達地極。
14 And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
他們晚上歸來，狂吠如犬，他們環繞城池，四周圍轉。
15 Let them wander up and down for food, and grudge if they be not satisfied.
他們到處遊蕩，覓食餬口。若不得飽食，便狂吠不休。
16 But I will sing of your power; yea, I will sing aloud of your mercy in the morning: for you have been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
但是我要稱你的威能，每日清晨歡呼你的寬仁，因為只有你是我的碉堡，是我困厄時日的避難所。
17 Unto you, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.
我的力量，我只有向你歡唱，因為只有你是天主，是我的保障。你是我的天主，你對我慈祥。
