Psalms 147
1 Praise all of you the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
Msifuni Yahwe, kwa maana ni vyema kumwimbia sifa Mungu wetu, ni kuzuri, kusifu kwa faa sana.
2 The LORD does build up Jerusalem: he gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
Yahwe huijenga tena Yerusalemu, huwakusanya pamoja watu wa Israeli waliotawanyika.
3 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
Huponya mioyo iliyopondeka na kuganga majeraha yao.
4 He tells the number of the stars; he calls them all by their names.
Huzihesabu nyota, naye huzipa majina zote.
5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
Ukuu ni wa Bwana wetu na nguvu zake ni za kutisha, ufahamu wake hauwezi kupimika.
6 The LORD lifts up the meek: he casts the wicked down to the ground.
Yahwe huwainua wanyonge, huwashusha chini wenye jeuri.
7 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:
Mwimbieni Yahwe kwa shukurani, mwimbieni sifa Mungu wetu kwa kinubi.
8 Who covers the heaven with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow upon the mountains.
Huzifunika mbingu kwa mawingu na huiandaa mvua kwa ajili ya nchi, akizifanya nyasi kukua juu ya milima.
9 He gives to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
Huwapa wanyama chakula na wana kunguru waliapo.
10 He delights not in the strength of the horse: he takes not pleasure in the legs of a man.
Hapati furaha katika nguvu ya farasi, wala haridhii miguu imara ya mwanadamu.
11 The LORD takes pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
Yahwe huridhia katika wale wanao muheshimu yeye, watumainio katika uaminifu wa agano lake.
12 Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion.
Msifuni Yahwe, Yerusalemu, msifuni Mungu wenu, Sayuni.
13 For he has strengthened the bars of your gates; he has blessed your children within you.
Maana yeye huyakaza mapingo ya malango yako, huwabariki watoto wako kati yako.
14 He makes peace in your borders, and fills you with the finest of the wheat.
Huletamafanikio ndani ya mipaka yako, hukutosheleza kwa ngano bora.
15 He sends forth his commandment upon earth: his word runs very swiftly.
Huipeleka amri yake juu ya nchi, amri zake hupiga mbio sana.
16 He gives snow like wool: he scatters the hoarfrost like ashes.
Huifanya theluji kama sufu, huitawanya barafu kama majivu.
17 He casts forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
Hutupa mvua ya mawe kama makombo, ni nani awezaye kuhimili baridi aitumayo?
18 He sends out his word, and melts them: he causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
Hutuma amri zake na kuziyeyusha, huvumisha upepo wake na hutiririsha maji.
19 He shows his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
Hutangaza neno lake kwa Yakobo, amri zake na hukumu zake kwa Israeli.
20 He has not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise all of you the LORD.
Hajafanya hivyo kwa taifa linginelo lolote, na kama ilivyo amri zake, hawazijui. Msifuni Yahwe.
